Basically, your soulmate is assigned to you with a plush. And they are always smiling. But they can give up, usually causing the plush to frown. When they've given up, you'll experience nightmares and catch fevers. You can catch visions of them when both of you are giving up. But the doll is only an indicator of their mental state.
