Aaron: Happy Birthday!!!
Just so ya know you're 13 in this.
(Y/n) POV:
Mmmmmm bacon and eggs with pancakes in syrup! That sounds so good right now! If only it was ready and actual there.
Once again I was dreaming of food. I woke up and "ah dang it. I was drooling again!" I groaned. I got up and removed my pillow case that had some drool on it. But finally after I stopped and settled in I realized there was a sweet smell drifting in the air. A savory smell was following it around as it floated through the air. "Is that-" I got up and opened my door to get a better smell. "Bacon!" I shot out the door and into the kitchen.
"You're making bacon!" I shouted. "With pancakes." My dad smiled. "Wait... why? You only get up to make breakfast if it's some special occasion." I stopped to think. "Well..." He tilted his head toward his phone. I picked it up revealing his lock screen with a picture of me and him together. "What about your phone?" I asked with confusion in my tone. "Check the date." He smirked. I looked down and saw it said February 6. I stared at it for a while then realized.
"Oh my gosh wait it's your birthday!" I yelled. "There it is." He chuckled. "I'm so sorry dad. I usually never forget." I mumbled while taking a seat in a chair. "Hey it's okay. Don't stress out about it." He rubbed my back. "So maybe today we could-" "Ah nope. I've got everything planned and ready." He grinned. "Okay well I can get a party planned if -" once again he stopped me. "I have the party planned too." He added.
"But dad you know I always plan your party. I've done it since I was 7!" I complained. "Well... I thought I'd do it. Since after all you did forget." He said. "Don't remind me." I groaned. "At least c'mon and see what I've done." He pulled up another chair and sat down beside me. "Okay, fine." I laid my head on his shoulder. After a good few seconds or so he ruffled my hair and stood up. "Kinda don't want burned breakfast." He chuckled.
He finished up with the cooking and we sat down and ate together. We made some small talk and then cleaned up before we got ready. We raced each other out to the car and got in. "I totally won!" I bragged. "Yeah, in your dreams." He scoffed. "The only dreams I have are about food." I smirked. He shook his head with a grin on his face. "Soooooo where are we going?" I asked. "Not telling you." He remained focused on the road. "Oh come on! Please!" I begged. "Not telling!" He smirked. I gave him the puppy eyes and gave him the lip. "Nuh uh. Not gonna work." He said. I sighed and crossed my arms.
"Fine. I'll wait." I mumbled. The ride was long, or so I thought. My dad says it was only 20 minutes but I think he was lying because it felt like hours! "Here we are!" Dad smiled. "The bowling alley!?" I shouted. He nodded and his smiled remained on his face. "I thought it was YOUR birthday?" I emphasized on the "your". "It is!" He said. "So why did we come here? You don't usually enjoy bowling because you're not good at it." I asked him. "Well you don't know this but I've been practicing my bowling." He grinned. "And... I think you have a challenge today because I'm gonna beat you." He scoffed. "No way! I always win!" I bragged.
"Mhm" He hummed as we turned to go in. When we walked in the place had barely anyone in it. We got our bowling shoes and went to our lane. "Okay here we go!" He rolled the ball down the lane and missed the pins completely. "How?!" He questioned the incident. I sat on the side chuckling. "You've been practicing?" I said. He gave me a glare and I held in my laughter. He picked up another ball and rolled it again. He knocked down one pin this time and didn't seem to understand what was happening. "Alright let me show you how it's done." I said pushing him out of the way. I rolled my ball and got a strike. I gave my dad a smirk and sat down.
The game seemed to go on almost the same way each time.Me knocking down a whole bunch of pins and him... well not so much. The game was over and I was the clear winner. "Still undefeated!" I bragged. "Alright let's do another game." He said. "You're on!" I replied. I decided to go first this time and started off by knocking down 8 pins. "Your turn." I told him. He got up and grabbed his ball. He rolled it down the lane with great technique and knocked down all pins meaning he had gotten a strike. My mouth hung open in shock after what he just did.
"Wh-what... How?!?" I stumbled over my words. "Told you. I've been practicing." He smirked. The game went on and actually remained pretty close in score. But eventually my dad took the lead. He got quite ahead and then the game was over. I stared at him in shock as he pretended to brush something off his shoulder. "What just happened?!" I asked. "Let me give you a small recap. I beat you in a game of bowling and now you're not undefeated." He said slowly. "Well played." I sighed. He ruffled my hair and sat down beside me.
"Ready to party now?" I asked. "Actually. I didn't plan a party." He smiled. "You said you did!" He stopped before speaking again. "I decided we wouldn't do a party because the only thing I wanted was to beat you in bowling and spend the day with my daughter!" He smiled. "Awe thanks dad!" I leaned my head on his shoulder. "But just so you know next time I'm gonna win." I said looking up. "You're on." He chuckled.
