You Don't Have A Clue (Lams/Hamliza)

First lams thing.

I'm sorry I hate lams.

"Be right back, Lex," John said, shutting the front door behind him.

Alex sighed, alone in their apartment. This was about the seventh time John had said exactly that, left, and didn't come back for a few hours. He never told Alex where he was going, and when he got back he suspiciously smelled like faint flowers and sweat.

Yeesh this is getting dirty...

But every time the suspicions came to Alex's mind, he would brush them off.

There was no way in the world that his John could be cheating on him.

But that thought came back over and over again.

He facepalmed over and over again. Get that thought out of your mind, Alex!!!

But what could John possibly be doing?

Was there a way to find out?

~Time skip~

A few weeks had passed by. Alex had put a few security cameras around, because there had been reports of a few car break-ins in the area.

"I'm going to work!" Alex yelled up at his boyfriend.

"'Kay!" John shouted back. "Have a nice day!"

Alex closed the door behind him, driving to work.

At his lunch break, he got a security notification. It might've just been John, but he pulled it out, and saw a gray car pull up. He watched as John rushed out of the house to greet a woman wearing a peach-colored dress.

Who the heck is that? Alex thought.

As he continued watching, John and the lady started making out. On the lawn. In front of Alex and John's house.

He watched in horror. His suspicions had been true.

Once he was allowed to go, he sped back home, hoping to catch the two still there, at the house. John wouldn't be expecting him home that early.

When he pulled up, the gray car was still there. No sign of John or the lady.

He unlocked the door. Still no one. Alex felt like an intruder in his own home. He heard some noises from upstairs. From the bedroom.

He crept upstairs quietly, hearing the noises get louder.

Then he burst into the bedroom, catching John and the lady by surprise.

"What the ****?!" Alex yelled at him.

John hastily covered himself. "Alex, hear me out-"

"No." Alex refused. "You've been cheating on me."

Then he left the room, leaving John and the lady back alone.

"Well," John gave a teasing smile. "Now that he's out of the way, shall we continue, Martha?"

Martha nodded, smiling.

Alex didn't know where to go. He decided to go to the Schuylers house, at the far side of the city. He was good friends with the three Schuyler sisters, and he felt like he could trust at least one of them.

He knocked hesitantly. Someone opened the door.

"Oh, hey Alex," Eliza said, letting him in.

Alex went inside. "Where's everyone else?"

"Not here," Eliza shrugged. "What're you doing?"

"Well... John's been cheating on me," Alex admitted.

Eliza blinked. "What-How?.."

"I caught them doing IT," Alex muttered. Eliza gave him a tight hug.

"It's.... alright," she whispered into his ear. "You are too good for him."

Alex fought tears. "Yeah... I guess."

"You wanna stay the night?" Eliza invited. "They won't be back for two days."

"Where are they?" Alex asked.

"Dad's politics," Eliza said with distaste. "Not my thing."

"Oh, ok. I'll stay."

Eliza smiled and showed him to the guest room. When she turned to leave, Alex grabbed her shoulder.

"Well... I wanted to say... thanks," he said.

She removed his hand. "It's nothing. This is hard for you."

"Well, there's something else," he said. "Even after I'd started dating John, I kinda had a crush on you. You're just too nice, and um..."

Eliza smirked. "Let's leave that for later."

"Yeah," Alex sighed. "But first..."

He pulled Eliza closer and kissed her passionately. She was surprised but kissed back.

They stayed that way for a while, and they had to admit that they didn't want to separate.

"Wow..." Eliza muttered.

"Sorry," Alex said.

"Eh, it's nothing," Eliza smirked and walked off.
