Flashbacks (Philidosia)

So the gist of this is that Pip and Theo died back in the eighteen hundreds of whatever, and they reincarnated in the modern day.

They remember each other from their past life.

~Pip's POV~

The heck?

I took another glance at the girl across the park. She had dark hair curled into perfect ringlets framing her makeup-less face, and a perfect figure flattered by her short shorts and her t-shirt that was a bit too big on her, but still looked flawless.

She looks oddly familiar...

No. It couldn't be.

Theodosia?

The girl who'd stolen my Hamilton heart in the eighteen-hundreds? My father's rival's daughter?

Okay, maybe I should back up. I'm Philip Hamilton, a graduate of Columbia College. I was from the nineteenth century, yet here I am in the twenty-first.

My last memory of the eighteen-hundreds...

BOOM!!!

Intense pain in my side and arm. I fall to the ground, my father's pistol clattering out of my hands. Several pairs of hands pick me up, and I am carried to the doctors. Then everything goes black.

My father. I see him standing over me, tears in his eyes. I choke out some words, knowing that they will be some of my last.

"I did exactly as you said, Pa. I held my head up high."

"Shh, I know, I know," he shushes me, but I go on.

"Even before we got to ten I was aiming for the sky... I was aiming for the sky..."

He continues to try and quiet me. "I know, save your strength and stay alive!"

"NO!!!" my mother, Eliza Schuyler Hamilton, rushed into the room, taking me into her arms.

"Is he breathing? Is he going to survive this? Who did this, Alexander, did you know???" she fretted.

"Mom," I said. "I'm so sorry for forgetting what you taught me."

"My son," she looked down at me with nothing but love in her eyes.

"We played piano"

"I taught you piano..."

"You would put your hands on mine"

"You changed the melody every time"

"Ha," I tried to laugh.

"Shh, I know, I know" she said.

"I would always change the line..."

"I know, I know," she said, holding me close. "Un deux trois quatre cinq six sept huit neuf"

I repeated after her.

"Good. Un deux trois quatre cinq six sept huit neuf."

My strength was fading. I saw stars in the sky.

"Sept huit neuf... sept huit..." was the last thing I heard.

Well, not really. Eliza's scream and sobs could be heard from Heaven.

~End flashback~

And now here I am. Weird as this may sound, I wish Theodosia had been with me when I died.

But there she was! Should... I go talk to her?

Maybe this was the best time. She was reading on a bench across the park.

I got up and went to sit next to her.

"Hello," I said.

Please, let this be Theo and not done random girl

She looked up. "Philip?!?"

"That's me," I gave her my signature smirk.

She hugged me unexpectedly, but I loved it. "Where... How..."

"Long story," I winced, pulling away. "Don't really wanna tell you now."

"Is the rest of your family here?" she asked. "I mean, aside from your dad. I know he's here. What about your mom and your siblings?"

"They're here," I confirmed. "We live down the block."

"When you died," she admitted. "I was never the same. You wouldn't have recognized me."

"I bet you were just as beautiful," I teased.

"And you are still a huge flirt," she said, rolling her eyes.

"Hey, I haven't flirted with someone since I was born. The second time."

"Oh? Why not?" She raised an eyebrow.

"I was waiting for you to come along," I smirked.

She blushed. "Shut up."

"I'm just like my father. We are unable to."

"I'll make you then." she threatened.

"How exactly?" I crossed my arms.

Theo set her book down. "Like this."

And she pressed her lips to mine.

Okay, that for sure shut me up.

Maybe that's why the only time I don't hear my dad talking is when he's alone in a room with my mom.

Huh...
