Fake (Hamliza)
Not requested I was just bored so of course my mind immediately comes up with a Hamliza oneshot.
~Eliza POV~
The dorm was pretty small. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and basically one of everything else.
I'd been pretty excited about living in a dorm for the first time in my sophomore year of high school.
Both of my sisters were sophomores too, even though we had different ages. Peggy and I skipped a grade to join Angelica.
My stuff was spread comfortably throughout my bedroom, which I kept locked.
I didn't know who my roommate was yet, they hadn't arrived. I was hoping it was a girl. I'd heard of a boy and a girl being roommates, but I always thought it should be same gender.
Oh, whatever. Just as long as it wasn't one of the kids who bully me constantly, like Charles Lee, Samuel Seabury, George King, and James Madison. I'd be fine.
A knock sounded on the door. I fixed my hair, just in case, and opened it.
I knew him too well.
Alexander Hamilton.
"What the heck are you doing here?" I asked.
"Um, this is my dorm."
"Well it's also mine," I said coldly, letting him in, then walking back to my room and locking the door again.
Bad luck at its peak.
It want that I hated Alex. It was the opposite.
But I digress.
The point was, he hated me and I acted like I hated him. We'd known each other for at least six or seven years.
I quietly unlocked the door and slipped out of the dorm, heading to my sister Peggy and her boyfriend John Laurens' dorm. I knocked.
John opens it. "Yo, Liza! What's up?"
I shrugged. "Not much I guess. Just bored."
"Well... um ok," John said a bit awkwardly. He let me in, and Peggy must've seen the look on my face.
"What's wrong Liza?"
"Well... nothing," I mumbled.
"Something," John corrected.
I swatted him lightly on the arm. John was probably the boy I felt most comfortable around, but I didn't have feelings for him past a friend. Those went to Alex.
Ya know, I thought this was a good idea at first but now I'm kinda struggling.
"E!" he complained jokingly.
I swatted him again. "What have I told you about calling me E?"
"C' mon, you know me. I don't listen."
I turned to my little sister. "Why did you choose him as my brother-in-law?"
She blushed madly. "We're not married."
"Yet," John cut in, a smirk on his face.
I raised my eyebrows at them. "Shall I leave you two to settle that matter?"
"No!" Peggy said a bit too quickly. "Um, I mean, you can stay. Why are you here anyway?"
I shrugged. "No reason."
"Hey, I know who your roommate is," John said.
"He just got here," I said.
"Ooh, who is it? Is it a boy? Liza, you're the only one of us who needs a boyfriend," Peggy rambled.
I rolled my eyes at her. "I'm just fine on my own Peggles."
She shrugged. "Won't stop me from trying to set you up with someone."
"Who did you have in mind?" I asked.
John just sat there looking mildly amused.
"Hm..." Peggy thought out loud. "Oh! I know! John, you're best friend is single, right?"
"Yeah," John said. "Liza's roommate."
Peggy gave me a look. "Alex is your roommate?"
"Unfortunately," I muttered.
Peggy did a happy dance.
"I've gotta think of a ship name now," she said happily.
"Um... you know we're not exactly on good terms," I said hesitantly.
"HAMLIZA!" Peggy yelled. "That's your ship name!"
I rolled my eyes, but no doubt my cheeks were completely red.
"She's blushing," John noted.
I put on a fake smirk. "I um... I'm trying not to laugh at the ridiculousness of Alex and me ever being a thing."
"Mm hm," Peggy crossed her arms.
"Yep."
I think that's long enough...
Maybe Part II but I dunno.
