Have you ever felt pain?

Not just any pain, but a pain so strong that it numbed you and burned you at the same time. That it left you speechless, yet you had so many things to say. A pain, that left you hollow and empty.

Have you ever felt it?

That's all that Thomas could feel after he had read Alexander's writing piece, a letter. His final letter. One that would leave the world frozen in awe. One that would truly open the eyes on thousands.

Dear World,

You didn't know me.
Not many did.

I tried day after day,
to please everyone.
To make them happy.

And after seventeen years of trying
so hard,
I've decided to give up.

The large amount of scrutiny
and criticism didn't help much either.

The way you constantly watched me,
With judging eyes.

The way you kept throwing punches,
when I was still down.

Before I go, I must apologize to the few
lights in my dark life. I'm sorry
To leave you this way.

Now it's time to say goodbye.

Thomas felt as though someone had ripped his heart right out of his chest, watch it beat for a few seconds, then threw it to the ground and trampled it.

Of course, someone had. Someone named Life. The only thing that can give and take your life force and crush it to tiny bits. It can make or break you. It can give you wind in your sails, or leave you winded and out of breath.

Life can kill you.
