Dear Alexander Reprise

Dear Alexander,

How to say to you? Sometime ago, your son that loved you so, was a fool to listen to you, he's dead, he's gone.

He dedicated that last choice to you. He aimed his pistol to the sky. With a smile, he took a bullet to his side, he had nothing but his pride.

He had come of age with our young nation. He defended your name for you. He stood so tall for you.

Then he laid on the bare foundation, he held his side for you, gave his last breath for you.

And he blew us all away, that day, that day. Yeah, he blew us all away.

Oh, After his last smile he came undone, your son. Look at your son. Broken should be the word your looking for, yet there is so little inside you now.

Oh, He outshone the morning sun, your son. Remember his smile, with aching heart, don't fall apart.

You, his father, wasn't around. No you weren't around for him. Though you swore you'd be around for him. You tried whatever it takes, you made a million mistakes. This being the biggest one from you.

He had come of age with our young nation. He bled and cried for you, he broke his pride for you.

Laying dead on the cold foundation, he gave his life for you, he said goodbye for you. And he threw his shot away, that day, that day. Yeah, he threw his shot away.

                                              Signed,
                                         Richard Price.
