I watch as they fight over who gets to be Mario. If only Hercules was out to his friends so we could be as open as they are.

We're at Laurens's place, just Alex, Laurens and I, playing Mario Kart. Alex is surprisingly good at it, and every time he wins a race, John tackles him and pecks at his lips. They're my best friends, but I could do without the... How you say? Oh! PDA.

Oh well. I guess I'm just jealous that they can be so comfortable showing off their relationship. I know how hard it is to come out, but is it bad that I just really want to be able to show off our love?

Hercules had a meeting with his professors today, so he couldn't come. Although, now that I'm thinking about it, it's probably for the best. I don't know if I could resist him to be honest.

"Laf! What are you doing man?"

As Alex yells at me, eyes still fixed on the screen, I realize I've been zoning out, and my character just fell into a pit of lava.

"Ah, it's okay. I have to go anyway," I say. "I have a... How you say? Appointment."

In reality, I was going to pick up Herc at the quad, then we are going back to my apartment to study for finals.

"An appointment? Or a date? Did you find a nice guy?"

Unlike Herc, I'm out of the closet.

"Ummmm, no just a meeting with...Mr. Washington." I shoot back, trying not to blush. I've never been a good liar.

"Sure," says Laurens. "That's what they all say."

I laugh and grab my coat, and just as I'm opening the door, someone opens it from the outside.

"Herc?" I say, wondering how he got here, since his mom is borrowing his car.

"I walked here. I need to tell you guys something."

I pull him aside, "Are you sure you want to do this?" I ask.

"I have to. You don't get anything if you wait for it," he replies. "If your ready, I'm ready too."

I can't believe he just said that. All of my dreams are coming true. I can't believe he is coming out! We go back into the living room to find Laurens and Alexander staring at us.

"WHAT IN THE WORLD IS GOING ON?!" They shout simultaneously.

Mon amour and I glance at each other, then blurt out, "WE'RE DATING!"

At the same time. They jump off the couch and start jumping and screaming like teenage girls at a One Direction concert.

Their response is a jumbled screech, containing words like, "OH MY GOD!" and "ARE YOU SERIOUS?" and "YAY! WE CAN DOUBLE DATE!"

Herc and I laugh, and I have the overwhelming urge to kiss him.

"ACK!" I guess he beat me to it.

Suddenly, the Schuyler sisters walk in, jumping and screaming as well. They must've been listening through the door. We are suffocated in a giant group hug. This has been the best day of my life.
