Lafayette's POV

I was sitting on my bed scrolling through Tumblr when my boyfriend crashed through the door.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY BEAUTIFUL BAGUETTE!". I blushed at the  nickname, "Hello Mon amour," I said to Hercules Mulligan, my boyfriend of 6 years and best friend since I came to America.

"Let's go! I have something really special planned!" He said excitedly. "Okay..." I started to feel a bit uncertaint, Hercules is...strange, to say the least. But I still got dressed and went with him.

Hercules' POV

We arrived at our destination, a really fancy restaurant. I hope Laf likes it...I subconsciously feel the small box in my pocket, getting more anxious by the second. I hope he says yes...

I get out and go over to his side, opening his door for him. He laughs and gets out, "Such a gentleman,". I laugh too, my anxiety calms down a bit, and walk inside with him.

The guy at the counter asks, "Do you have a reservation?", "Um...yeah, under Hercules Mulligan?". "Ah, here we are! Right this way sir.", He leads us to a table and then goes back to his post.

"How did you afford this place?" Laf asks me, "I've been saving up...". "Really? You didn't have to bring us here,".

I start to sweat, getting really nervous.  "It's your birthday! I wanna make you happy!"
"I'm already happy, because I'm with you,"
I blush a bit at that, "And you really love me?"
"Of course! More than anything!"
"So..." I get up and slowly get on one knee next to him. I see his eyes widen and he tears up. "Will you be mine forever? Marie‑Joseph Paul Yves Roch Gilbert du Motier de La Fayette, Marquis de Lafayette, will you marry me?"

He throw himself onto me and hugs me tight while tears stream down his face. "YES! OF COURSE I WILL YOU GOOF!", he basically screams and kisses me passionately.

This is the BEST day of my life! He's mine! That boy is finally MINE!
