Maria's POV:
Maria trudged alongside her friend group. She loved hanging with the cool kids, but being the only girl in the squad wasn't the best thing. She was dressed as a black cat, and all her friends were baseball players.

"Come on, Maria!" Yelled her boyfriend James Reynolds.

"Coming." She called. They walked into the village green, where there were games, food stands, and a DJ set up.

"Fashionably late." She heard George Eacker say. "There's that Burr and that Adams kid."

"Yup." Thomas said. "Let's go win at some beanbag toss."

And with that, the friends moved to the games section. But not Maria. She stayed behind, and went over to where Alex, John, Herc and Lafayette were hanging out.

"Hey." She said.

"What, Maria?!" Herc shouted.

"Mon Ami, lets go!" Said Lafayette.

"Guys, no need to be rude to her!" Alex shouted.

"Listen, Alex, you're new so you didn't know this, but, we have a bad past with her. We don't like to talk about it. Let's go, guys!" John said.

Maria glared. Alex was lingering, she could tell he felt bad for her. Good. "Hey." She said. "Come with me."

"No thank you!" Alex said, shuffling away to where his friends were talking to the Schuyler sisters.

Maria was angry. But she had a plan. She ruin someone's life. And that someone, was just out of her grasp.

Eliza's POV:
Eliza watched as John, Herc and Lafayette made their way over to where she was standing with Angie and Peggy.

"Where did Alex go, mon ami?" She heard Lafayette say.

"I think Maria tried to keep him a little longer. But I see him coming now." Replied Herc.

"Sorry guys! Maria like, tried to lead me behind the porta-potties." Alex said, running out of breath.

"She once tried to do that to John Jay! What a slut" said Angie.

"Anggggiiieeee!" Said Peggy.

"What?" Angie said.

"Come here!!!" Said Peggy.

As Peggy lead Angie away, Herc, John and Lafayette went to get cotton candy, so Alex could talk to Eliza.

"Hi, Eliza." Said Alex, rubbing the back of his neck.

"Hi." She smiled sweetly. Secretly, she was internally screaming! She felt like when she looked into his eyes, the sky was limit! It was like every time they looked at each other she felt helpless!

"Do you..wanna..maybe.. I don't know. Maybe James Reynolds and Maria don't have to be the only couple in 6th grade, do you get what I'm saying?" Alex said.

Eliza could barely keep herself from screaming. Her smile was as wide as a watermelon slice. She let out a squeal, not being able to hold it in any longer. "I'd love to!" She squealed.

Little did either of them know, this whole thing was planned by some of the best friends anyone could have.
