As soon as the rituals are over, Sahana wasted no time in making them perform the havan as told by Guru Dev in Italy itself as she didn't want anyone to know about this.

It's a day long puja with Karan & Preetha fasting through out. They performed it with complete faith and belief in God pertaining his blessings.

The young couples extended their stay to another week for touring Italy as all of them had been busy in preparations.

They visited leaning tower of Pisa, Colosseum, Lake Como, Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius, Vatican City, St Mark's Basilica etc.

The most stunning is the Canal Ride in Venice. The huge palaces along the narrow water ways, the colorful buildings, small bridges across and still the same boating technique made it all way enthralling.

Italy and the Spring and First love should make the gloomiest person happy.

Karan and Preetha are living the line.

The most busy full and blissful three weeks are over for everyone as they return to India. This time the baggage's are heavy not with the gifts but with the memories.

Luthra's welcomed the new bride with wide smiles. Preetha didn't take much time to adjust as she almost knew everyone except his parents.

Jaanu is at her house packing to go back to London with Arhaan when Sahana enters her room,

Jaanu: Hey mom!

Sahana: Everything packed?

Jaanu(pouting): You don't want me in the house?

Sahana: Yes!

Jaanu: Mooooom!

Chuckling, she sits down on her bed,

Sahana: When will you come back?

Jaanu: Have to see mom. You know how he keeps the house when I am not there. Kahi trash se kam nai lagegi ghar!

She chuckles saying it while Sahana sees her with a little smile,

Sahana: You are happy.

Jaanu smiles widely but stops hearing her next words,

Sahana: Is Karan happy?

Jaanu: Kya?

Sahana walks towards window,

Sahana: You know about his horoscope Jaanu. We had to do his marriage and we did. But now I am feeling he just brought some girl out of pressure and he really doesn't mean it.

Jaanu: Of course no mom. They have been together for a year now.

Sahana: Ma ki intutions apni bachon keliye kabhi galath nai hothi.I feel he is not completely happy with this. (facing her) Kya sach mein wo usse pasand kartha hein?

Jaanu: Ma agar wo use pasand nai kartha tho itna bada decision nai Letha.

Sahana: Kaisa decision?

Jaanu: Yeh ek saal shaadi chupake rakhna Karan nai chahtha hein ma.Wo preetha ki wajah se kar rai. Preetha nai chahthi ki wo hamari family ke naam se tag kare.

Sahana: Kyun?

Jaanu: She doesn't want to be opportunistic. Karan Preetha ke college mein lecturer hein. If everyone got to know about their marriage then they would think all her ranks are because of Karan and not because of her hard work. That's why no one knew about them before also even her friends.

Sahana: So Karan didn't want 1 year for himself?

Jaanu: Nai ma. Wo Preetha ki khatir aise bola talk uski ghar mein problem na ho.

Sahana got what she wanted to know.

They say first impression is the best impression and Preetha failed in making one.

Her every word seemed over confidence, her stance is gutsy, her face is full of pride which Sahana didn't want to be in Karan's bride.

Still she gave a benefit of doubt as Karan liked her and she want him to be safe.

But knowing this, Sahana believes she is right about her.

Preetha doesn't want to be looked opportunistic, she doesn't want to reveal their marriage, she doesn't wanna tell her friends but what about Karan?

Did she think about what does he want?

No!

She does what she wants proving herself to be a selfish girl.

Sahana is so angry as she stormed inside Arora Mansion where Raghuveer and Sarla received her which she ignores,

Sahana: Aapko patha hein aapki beti ne kya kiya ya aap khud usko yeh sab seekh raha hein?

Her tone low but firm as they both see each other,

Sarla: Ham nai pata usne kya kiya par Sahana ji wo bachi hein kuch time dijiye usse wo adjust karlegi sab ke saath. Tab tak please sabar rakhiye.

Sahana: Jaan buchke kiya galthiyon ko maaf nai karthe Sarla ji.

Raghuveer: Kya baath kar rahe aap?

Sahana: Aapki beti mere bete se jhut bulwaliya taki wo apni icha pura kar sake.

 They look at her frowning,

Sahana(stony): It's not Karan but your daughter who want to hide this marriage.

Sarla(shocked): Kya?

Sahana: Yes. She made Karan lie because of her own selfish reasons not even thinking about him or us.

Sarla: Ky....kya? Wo aise kyun karegi? 

Sahana(sternly): Kyunki aapki beti matlabi hein. Apni matlab keliye kuch bhi karthi hein.  

Raghuveer has been observing Sahana. She seemed reluctant about Preetha, even during the cermonies whole family was excited except her so he let it pass but he won't pass now,

Raghuveer(firmly): That's my daughter you are talking about Mrs. Mahesh. I don't like to hear anything against her.

She looks at him sharply as he continues,

Raghuveer: I remember that you, specially your son approached us for the alliance not the other way round. Even though he had some problems in his horoscope, my daughter didn't mind them and got ready. Rather being thankful you are blaming her.

Sahana(firmly): Do not forget we are the Luthras Mr.Arora. If not your daughter, I would have brought the best girl for my son. Just because he likes her I accepted this. If I knew about her before I wouldn't had let this happen.

Raghuveer: You are crossing the line Mrs.Mahesh. It might be a misunderstanding.

Sahana: I am sure your daughter will make you understand Mr.Raghuveer.

She challenges him and he tells a servant to call her. Preetha is surprised to see Sahana there, she came today morning to spend time with them but Mahi and Varun went to hospital because of an emergency so she is in her room.

Preetha: Papa?

Before anyone her mother comes front,

Sarla: Beta kya thumne Karan se apni shaadi chupane ko kaha?

Preetha is shocked at the question. But seeing Sahana she knew she had to say,

Preetha(gulping): Yes.

Sarla gasps , Raghuveer snaps, Sahana fumes. He realized his daughter did something,

Raghuveer: Why?

She doesn't answer not able to look at him,

Raghuveer(lowly): Why?

Preetha(lowereing her eyes) : I ......I don't want to be called as an unscrupulous person. If everyone knew about us they think that Karan f....favors me or I trapped him for marks. Because of him I am getting top ranks and not because of my hard work or intelligence. I don't want that.

Raghuveer stays silent while her mother is afraid for her,She can sense the upcoming truffle in the house

Sarla(cupping her): Mickey thum kya keh  rahi ho? A.....aise nai karthe hein beta.Achi baath nai hein.

Sahana can't believe she made her son lie to her and here her mother is talking with care,

Sahana: Aise laadli pyaar ki wajah se yeh aise bigad gayi. Agar yeh baath bahar gayi tho Samaj mein hamara izzat, naam kya hoga? Ham uski wajah se apna sar nai utha sakthe hein.

Sarla: Sahana ji aap Karan ko kyun nai kehthe? Ek wahi hein hamse jhut bola.Agar wo nai chahtha tho hamse pehle kyun nai bathaya? Jitna galthi Preetha ki hein utna Karan ka bhi hein.

She is defending her daughter and indirectly hinting Raghuveer about Karan's mistake but Preetha couldn't take anyone pointing Karan,

Preetha: Karan ka koi galthi nai hein. Jo kuch bhi kiya usne mereliye kiya. 

Sahana knew the ball is in her court,

Sahana: Ab kya bologe Mrs.Arora? Do you still think your daughter is innocent.

Raghuveer understood what might have happened. He was wondering how come everything went smooth and now she proved him right.This time Preetha did a grave mistake and he is not all happy with her but he didnt want anyone to insult Preetha,

Raghuveer(sternly): I apologize on behalf of my daughter Mrs.Mahesh. 

Preetha is shocked at the sudden apology by her father,

Preetha: Papa aap ....

He gives her a look which makes her shut up,

Raghuveer: I will rectify her mistake. Let's keep the reception next week.

He declares while Preetha immediately comes to him,

Preetha: No....No.....Don't do that Papa.Bas ek saal uske baad mein kuch bhi karlungi.

Raghuveer(glaring): Your reception is in next week. Get ready for it.

Preetha: Mujhe nai chahiye.Mama bolo papa ko.Sirf ek saal ma sirf ek saal.

Sarla: Thumhari papa sahi keh rai. Ham aise hi karna chahiye.Dekho Mickey Jo thum soch rahi ho na aise kuch bhi nai hoga.Koi thumpe ungli nai uthayega. Ham thumhari bhalayi keliye kar rai. Please understand.

Preetha: Aap mujhe nai samaj rahi ho.Saari mehnet bekar mein jayega.I will lose my dream.Math karo yeh reception ma.

Her stubborn nature is making Sahana dislike her more,

Sahana: Kaisi ladki hein yeh? Parivaar ko koi izzat hi nai de rai.

Raghuveer and Sarla close their eyes at her humiliation.

Preetha: Aunty aap...

Before she completes Sahana speaks,

Sahana: Listen! Mein yeh consolation keliye nai aayi hu.Thum mere bete keliye sahi nai ho lekin sirf Karan ki wajah se meine yeh shaadi accept kiya. Agar thumhari wajah se mera bete ka dil tuta na mein nai sehlungi.Mind it!

Creating a storm she walks off. The three are rooted to their places still not able to believe what happened. Raghuveer glares Preetha but turns to leave to control his anger when Preetha holds his hand,

Preetha(tears): Papa no. Please I don't want this now.Aap kisi aur ke kehne par kyun kar rahe ho aisa?

Raghuveer: Wo kisi aur nai thumhari saas hein. Thumhari saas yaha aake thumhe aur hame insult kar rai thi aur thum mujhe puch rahi ho ki mein aise kyun kar raha hu? (she lowers head) Thumhe pata bhi hein kya kiya thumne? Sarla thumhe ab abhi lag rahi ki wo choti hein? kaise fools bana diya sab ko apni matlab keliye. 

Preetha: Aise kuch nai hein papa. Mein bas apna dream pura karna chahthi.

Raghuveer: Dreams, career ke bina kuch hotha hein jaise parivaar, izzat aur pyaar.Kab samj jaogi thum yeh baath? I am fed up with you complicating each and everything Preetha. Now listen either you prepare for the reception or forget about us.

Sarla & Preetha gasp listening him, Sarla tries to intervene but seeing Raghuveer's angry state she backs off. She knew what he is doing is for her own good, 

Preetha: Pa....

Raghuveer: Choose what you want your dream or your family. If you choose us stay here and do what we say otherwise...... OUT.

Preetha is shattered. She never ever expected such a harsh decision from him. 

Seeing the rough voice, rigid eyes she knew her father is serious and stubborn.There are two ways for her: 1) Leave all her dreams in drain. 2) Achieve them and show to the world.

The second one is more appealing though it meant she had to leave the house.

Silently, with tears in her eyes, she turns and walks away with a hope to make her parents forgive her soon. Raghuveer and Sarla are shocked by her choice,

Raghuveer: Think again Preetha you will not only lose your family but Spandana also.

That statement clenches her heart. Her office is like a temple to her and her job is like a deity. She respects it and works with utmost dedication but now she was losing it. Raghuveer knew how much that means to her so he pulled her delicate chord to stop her from leaving but she is his daughter after all.

Wiping her tears, she doesn't turn back,

Preetha: I resign!

Declaring she walks out as her determination to achieve her dream and stubborness to show it to her father and mainly Sahana increased to ten folds at that moment.

Karan gets to know what happened with Preetha but didn't know that's because of Sahana. He offered to talk with her father but she stopped him saying it's between them. Feeling himself responsible for her pain, he decides to support her in her every decision even it's for her plan of staying in hostel and forgetting about their marriage for an year.

Aroras tried to convince Raghuveer but he doesn't step back. He wants her to learn a lesson.

After a week, Preetha shifts to hostel and as usually goes to college.She didn't say anything to her friends, they think she went for a business course again and came back.
