Jane's POV

We suit up and ready our weapons. We all walked to the Pelican, yet there is one person that is not here. Of course I'm referring to Ghost. I stepped back till I hit something. It's too close so it has to be someone else. Indeed it is, as I turned around and saw Ghost. Then we heard a voice, "Took you long enough". We all turn to the source of the sound and it is Ghost wearing his Mjölnir and his black visor with his skull scar. I then notice something: If he's sitting on the seats, then who's in the suit. At this point, I just shrug it off and we went to the engagement zone.

During the flight, Ghost has been rather quiet, not to say that he can't talk, but rather it's something else. I inspects the weapons that was given to him: The MAC Assault rifle, The MA45 Shotgun and the Magnum pistol. I'm surprised that he can carry three weapons while us Spartans are limited to 2 at a time. The weird part is, that the weapons are only on the  exo-skeleton. As we draw close to the engagement zone, Ghost stood up and walk into his exo suit.

The doors open as I ordered Blue Team to drop, but the first to drop was Ghost. The sick son of a bitch. We dropped later and right before we even hit the ground, Ghost just tears through the covenant forces like they were nothing: hacking, slashing and shooting as he goes. He punched a brute, which tore its flesh and he killed the brute with a stab via the nearby pole arm.

We kept going and cleared the area of Covenants till there is none. By this point, our ammo supplies almost ran dry. During this mission, I've seen Ghost use the Covenant weapons creatively to his advantage. For one, he used the Needler and stab the Elite by the back of the weapon. The energy swords were orientated so when the Covenant Elites intended on using the weapon, it hits them. When his ammo ran dry, he used 2 gravity hammers to destroy most of the covenant ground vehicles.

We were all at the briefing for our next mission. I notice something odd with Ghost, but it was subtle that I barely notice it during the fights. We've been lucky on a few occasions, this is the one I am certain that there is something wrong with Ghost. It feels like he was named after a marine, who sacrificed his life for his platoon after the covenant invade the planet. He seems to have that same mentality, just as a Spartan so to say.

Our next mission is to secure a Covenant base just north of our position. However, I'll be accompanied by Ghost, while the rest of my team went on different missions. I don't mind my companion, in fact I don't mind working with Ghost in general. He may seem off at times, but on the battlefield, Ghost shows how effective he can be, even when ammo is low.

3rd Person POV

The Condor flew high in the sky as it graces the horizon, carrying the Elite Spartans and Marines to take a Covenant forward operations base on the mountains. A grunt was having a feud with a Jackal till they spotted the aircrafts. Immediately, the grunt hops onto an AA turret and open fire upon the descending ships. One of the bolt of plasma hits the Condor and it made its rapid descent to the ground.

The Spartans and Marines manage to get off the Condor as it crashed into the jungle.

"Well that should've gone better", Cortana said sarcastically.

The others recover from their fall, take up arms and March towards the Covenant base. They were then intercepted by a Covenant scouting party.

Transcript

Elite: [Points to the Marines] There!

All the Elites and Grunts began to open fire upon the Spartans and Marines.

Marine 1: Take Cover!

Everyone hide behind rocks

Ghost: [Peaks then immediately duck before a bolt him] Ugh, Covenant scouts [Throws a grenade at the Scout party]

The Grenade exploded and took a few of the grunts and non of the Elites.

Cortana: Ghost on the left.

Ghost shoot to his left that kill a stalking Elite.

Reaper: 7 Covenant remaining. Hostile approaching North-East

Chief shot her MAC at the trees and kill an Elite and 2 Grunts.

Ghost: No Witnesses

Ghost took out his blade and made a finger pose. He activates his ability and kills the remaining Grunts and Elite.

Transcript ended

"We should keep moving", Ghost said to the group as he sheathed his blade. They all follow what Ghost has ordered and marched to the walls of the base. Everyone is in a rush as the Spartan place a bomb at the wall.

Jane: Ghost, might want to explain why are you doing this?

Ghost: No time for stealth. They have already found out of our presence. We must hurry or the mission is a failure.

The Chief looked at Ghost as he finally finished placing the bomb. He told everyone to get clear the area with the explosion coming next. The hole is blown and the Spartans and Marines flooded through and killed several Covenant personnel on their way to the main keep. A few Marines died in the process. Ghost kicks down the door and began to open-fire on the Covenant.

He picked up a battle Rifle and starts shooting the Covenant till it ran out of ammo. He then used the rifle to hit every enemy in his path. He soon lost the rifle as he jams the tip into the Brutes head, effectively killing the brute in the process. He grabbed a Brute shot and fire it's entire payload onto the fleeing Covenants. An Elite got a little too close, to be cut by Ghost using he Brute shot's back. He discarded the weapon and joined the main group as they make due with the remainder of the Covenant.

In the ensuing battle, a Prophet of the Covenant emerged. Jane spots the Prophet and went after him. The Prophet was very close to a Banshee, before it was destroyed by an AA turret, piloted by non other than Ghost. Ghost aims the turret at the Prophet before uttering his words, "Kill. Maim. Destroy", and begun firing upon the fleeing Covenant. He ended up shooting down the Covenant leader, which gave time for Jane to catch up to the fallen covenant. By the time Ghost arrived to stand beside Jane, the large majority of the Base have been secured.

Jane would've wanted to execute the Prophet, but couldn't due to the fact that everyone is seeing her holding the Prophet. The same can't be said for the other Spartan. His glowing red eyes pierce the black visor, as a monster grows inside of him. Without much though, he picks up the Covenant leader and looked at him, eye to eye. No one would do anything to stop him, because of his eyes and his status as a Spartan (Technically a Spartan 3, which uses Orphans from the start of the Human-Covenant war)

Prophet: P-Please... H-Have... Mercy!

Ghost: Réãpēr, tráñslåtør NÕW.

Reaper: Translator: activated

Ghost: Good. Why... Run?

Prophet: I don't want to be killed by a demon!

Ghost: Hmm... Information, NOW!

The Prophet gave out as much information as he can, before he was dropped and have his head being split down the middle by Ghost's blade.

Jane's POV

Me: I think I'm gonna throw up.

Brain: What's the matter? I thought you've seen worse.

Me: Oh yeah? Name me one.

Brain: I can give you several: Brute's head being torn in half, an Elite being ripped apart in two, an Elite having a hole in its chest, The Unggoy incident, Brute having a sword driving into its brain...

Me: Okay, Please stop!

Brain: Alright.

Me: I think I should talk to him.

Braun: You better. I don't know if I can handle more of this chaos! At least calm him down first, then talk.

Me: Good idea.

I look at Ghost and place the palm of my hand to stop him. With such speed, he looked directly at me. I told him to stand down, his eyes still glows. I then try to calm him down with a soothing voice, one that I haven't use when near the troopers.

Jane: Ghost, please stand down.

His red eyes began to dissipate into the visor. I felt relief for a moment, that was until Ghost collapses in front of me. The medical Team arrived and I dragged him into med bay. I'm just hoping he is okay. He had no wounds as the armor protected him. Could it be something else?
