I stood in front of a glass wall as the interrogation is undergoing. So far, he is unable to tell any information as of now. Everyone kept changing positions to watch him, however, everyone picked me to be near Ghost most of the time. We had to tell him to take off the Armor and he complied. He wore a balaclava on his face, with only his eyes that can be seen - his (E/c) eyes - with the rest being covered by that mask.

We tried to study and even try on his suit, but his AI, which he named it "Reaper", refuse to have it being access. Many methods were used, but nothing work. However, we haven't try it with Cortana. It's a bit brash, but we think it could work. I plugged Cortana in and now we let her do her thing.

Cortana: Hello

Reaper: Firewalls: Activated! Identify yourself!

Cortana: I am CTN 0452-9, Cortana

Reaper: I am EWAI 115, Codename: Reaper.

Cortana: EWAI? Is it Experimental War Artificial Intelligence?

Reaper: Affirmative.

Cortana: Wait... EWAI? But that was 20 years ago.

Reaper: Affirmative.

Cortana: How long did you serve Ghost for?

Reaper: Spartan-iii G175, 15 years.

Cortana: But that means you had rampancy!

Reaper: Negative. Rampancy status: Neutralize.

Cortana: Can you tell me how'd you do it?

Reaper: Negative.

Cortana: Let's see about that.

[Tech noises]

Reaper: Firewalls: Deactivated. Safety systems: Disengaged.

Cortana: That's better. Now let's take a look at those files... Oh my. Who made these improvements?

Reaper: This Unit.

Cortana: Oh. So this is reoccurring self-improvement?

Reaper: 645,625 revisions. This unit.

Cortana: Wow. I'm only with the Chief for 2 years, but this is insane. Can you lend me the armor schemes?

Reaper: Negative.

Cortana: Okay. This is going to be tough.

This has taken for a while so I decided to bring him out.

I walk to his cell and bring him out of the place. I escort the Spartan to where we were conducting the experiment. He is rather tall for someone his size, almost reminded me of Samuel.

Me: Mind telling your AI to give it up?

Ghost: Reaper can't access the files without my DNI.

Me: What does that mean?

Ghost: As long as I'm out of the suit, Reaper won't access the files. Many AIs tried to probe his Algorithm, most of the time they got destroyed.

Me: And what do you mean by "Destroyed"?

Ghost: Once an AI breached the Firewall, those that are susceptible to rampancy would have their time shorten. However, if they're not, he simply infects them with a virus.

My eyes widen as I ordered the scientist to get her out of Reaper.

Ghost: Why worry?

Me: Look, you have just destroyed the most valuable AI!

Ghost: *Sigh* Unlike the other AIs, Cortana is a special kind. Reaper can't get rid of her without my own head. AIs can't probe a human mind after all.

And I was worrying for no reason. He stepped into his suit with all of us readying to attack him if he wishes to.

Reaper: Ident: Ghost. Welcome.

Ghost: Thanks Reaper. Disable kill codes for Cortana.

Reaper: Affirmative

Ghost: Cortana, you now have access to the files. Just don't corrupt them.

Cortana: I must say, you have a very impressive AI.

Ghost: You may access his older versions to make your own.

Cortana: Thanks.

Well, I guess that settles it. I can't believe that Ghost is cooperative. After extracting some files, he got out and sat down on the nearby bench. We all continued our work, however, I stayed to watch him. The doctors came to do a bio scan on him. There is nothing of interest, but one.

He has a lot of chemical and biological augmentations, but there is one substance in him that seem so foreign. That's what we ask him.

Doctor: Care to explain the foreign substance in your body?

Ghost: Nanites. Microscopic bots, modulated to a high degree.

Doctor: What is their function?

Reaper: The Nanites are used to enhance the physical capabilities of the human. Once injected, the Nanites began searching and destroying any potential threats to a human body. Them enhance any physical capabilities based on activity.

Scientist: What happens if the human gets a wound?

Reaper: The nanites move to the open wound. Once there, they will reconstruct the tissue using any available bio mass. Extreme wounds tend to use the nanites in the body to cover until healed.

Doctor: What do the Nanites do to the Body?

Reaper: Enhances nervous systems. Hardens skin. Increase reflexes. Make hormones that would be useful in combat situations. Healed wounds. Destroy any other foreign substance that is deemed harmful. Changes bone structure to better survive destruction.

Scientist: What hormones does the nanites normally produce?

Reaper: Adrenaline

That's a surprise. No wonder he can take down those brutes, though it also have to come from the armor as well. Some samples have been taken and we left him alone. All of us left him to his own devices with some of us watching him.

I have seen him cleaning his armor at times of the day. He felt so isolated and we never see his face, not even once. Some ODSTs tried to "talk" to him, but as they got close, he glared right at them. They ran away just as I was going to watch Ghost. Afterwards, we got a mission with our new found member and it's the one that really shows us what is he really capable of.
