The police had finally arrested both the man and woman. The man and the woman that were with Ann and the little girl, walked back to where the sister and Khovu were. Ann was limping as the little girl could walk on her own. Well, mostly. She did sprain her ankle from trying to escape. She was carried by the female officer.

When they finally returned the place the group were at the beginning of the chase, the little girl grinned seeing her sister.

"Annabelle!" Her older sister exclaimed excitedly as she ran to her.

"Erica!" Her younger sister replied happily as they embraced each other with a warm hug. Her older sister carried her younger sister. Luckily she wasn't that heavy.

Khovu found Ann and raced to her. She almost collapsed to the ground, then Khovu caught her in his arms. He was worried about her as he carried her gently in his arms, "Ann, my love. Are you alright?" He saw the blood on her. He only asked not knowing if she got hurt worse than she looked. He gently brushed her hair out of her face.

She winced in pain when he would touch her. He immediately knew she was in more pain than he thought. She managed to stutter her answer, weakly and tiredly, "I-I'm f-fine..."

He shook his head gently, "No, you are not. You quiver at my touch." He spoke in a gentle, calm tone.

Her eyes felt heavy, but she forced herself to stay awake. "No... Really, I-I'm f-fine... Don't w-worry a-about m-me..."

"We should take both of the girls to the hospital." A male officer spoke to the group, they nodded as the sisters went inside a vehicle with none of the robbers.

Khovu drove in his vehicle, not wanting to make the female humans uncomfortable with his presence. Besides, he doubted he could even fit in the small car. At least his was big enough for the both of them. He gently kissed Ann's forehead, letting her lay down. He gently closed the door, as she made sure nothing of her got caught. When Khovu got in the driver's seat, he set off to the hospital, trying not to hurt Ann much.
