Several spartans had been sent to the ring to see what just in the hell was going on with the Spartan named Eclipse.

But once arriving to the planet once again they were greeted by Erinyes's kindness, they aimed their guns preparing to shoot since no forerunners should have even been alive.

"Raise your hands and show no signs of resistence." A yellow spartan 2 had said loudly with an obvious trigger finger. "May I show you something important for this moment?" She asked curious and with an amused voice.

The spartans said nothing as several slipspace portals opened as out came Commander Sephonix and several prometheas of each class and began to open fire, "Call for reinforcements!"

James said quickly taking cover behind a large tree, surprisingly many UNSC military forces we deployed near them to give assistance.

Erinyes smiled behind the visor of her helmet and went through a slipspace portal, Sephonix went with her as the rest of the prometheans continued to fight against the UNSC.

People were being disintegrated nearly every moment of the fight as marines were trying hard to push forward when scorpions, warthogs, hornets, and mongooses were deployed on the field.

These prometheans have been much more durable and packed a greater punch then the ones they've fought before.

"Push! Force them back!" A marine yelled, one of the spartans ended up dead due to getting disintegrated by an incineration cannon one of the knights wielded.

If Commander Sephonix was present it would be more then just a one sided massacre...

The Covenant did end up arriving with a large fleet quickly deploying their troops.

Why were they present here? Perhaps to speak to the forerunner protecting this ring, but how did they gain this knowledge?
