The elevator doors open as Y/n was the first to enter and look around and then signal the rest to enter. Soon everyone begins to climb onto the elevator until Buck was last. Once everyone is in the elevator doors close and they begin to go up to the surface.

Y/n: Watcher update?

Watcher: Well this isn't good. The Covenant ships is about to glass the city. We need to get out of here before we'll be turn into ashes.

Cali: Buck you said your squad stole a Phantom?

Buck: Yes ma'am. However we needed to find a location so we can be picked up.

Watcher: Right give me a moment.

While Watcher is working on a extraction point Buck took off his helmet and take a sniff only to find it disgusting because of the Engineer.

Buck: Lord that stinks. Kinda reminds me of-

He turn to Dare only to be punched in the face which caught everyone off guard.

Buck: What was that for?!

Dare: Abandoning the mission.

Buck: What mission?! You went missing, my squad was scattered-

Then she kissed him on the face with the two kissed and then they stop and Buck ask.

Buck: And that?

Dare: That's for coming back for me.

Grif: Hey sorry to break the romance stuff but probably do that after we get out of here.

Buck: (clear his throat) Right. Spartan anything?

Y/n: Hold on.

Watcher: Got it. There is a Zoo that we can use as our extraction point. However it is far so we need some vehicles.

Sarge: Or maybe we can leave a few behind. Kinda like Grif.

Buck: Does he always say that?

Simmons: (sigh) You have no idea.

Soon the elevator arrived onto the floor and once open they leave the elevator and make theie way outside. Once outside it was the early hours in the morning. Y/n looks around and sees a lot of Covenant forces completely taking over the city.

Y/n leads them all through the door and onto the streets. They make theie way to the closes elevator to get to the freeway. Things seems to be fine when suddenly a beam gose through a ODST close to Rookie and gets shot through the head.

Buck: Sniper!

Dare: We need to keep moving now!

Y/n: Everyone run!

Y/n turn and fire his assure rifle at the sniper while the rest run. He then catches up to them while brutes appear around the corner and begin to chase after them.

They fire theie spikers at them which a few marines get shot while a few turn around and return fire. The brutes get shot and fell to the ground. Remington sees a rocket launcher on the floor so she quickly picked it upm turn around and aim at the brutes when she noticed a fire works ship next to them so she turn towards it and fired.

The rocket smash through the window ans seconds later there was a large explosion as the brutes were sent flying as the fire works shop blows up as Remington drops the rocket launcher and catches up with the rest.

Cali: Nice shot!

Remington: (smile) Thanks.

Watcher: There's the lift to the freeway!

They soon made it to building and they enter inside and soon enter the elevator and goes up to the freeway. Once on the freeway they step out and see nothing but cars being flipped over and a few destroyed.

Donut: Look! There is some Warthogs we can take.

He points over the two Warthogs while Y/n turn and sees a garbage truck and looks big enough for the rest.

Y/n: Dare take the Engineer and a few marines and ODST and get inside of truck. We'll cover you with Warthogs.

Dare: Right. Try to keep up.

Cali: (smile) Yeah boys.

Dare, Remington and Cali take the Engineer and the rest inside while Sarge, Simmons and Grif take a Warthog while Y/n, Rookie and Buck take the other as Buck said.

Buck: A little advice for the both of you. Ever fall a woman. Make sure she has balls.

He then walk away with Rookie and Y/n look at each other with confusing but just shrugged and follow Buck as Rookie take the passenger side seat while Y/n take the turret.

Y/n: Let's move people! Time is against us!

(Epic music start)

Soon they begin to drive through the freeway with two Warthogs protecting the garbage truck when it begins to glow which Y/n and Dare through the radio.

Y/n: Dare what's going on in there?

Dare: (radio) The Engineer must be trying to protect us.

Watcher: Must be giving it Shields.

Y/n: That's good to hear.

Grif: We got Covenant forces in front of us!

Suddenly Ghost speed by them but quickly turn around and begun to open fire at them. Y/n and Simmons turn theie turrets around and begin to fire at the Ghost.

Buck and Sarge each continue driving their Warthogs through the freeway while Y/n and Simmons take out the Ghosts.

The Ghosts gets shot multiple times before blowing it up. A few Ghosts get close to the back of the garbage truck and the grunts leap off and begin to climb.

Buck sees this and pulls back the Warthog a bit so Rookie can take them out with his battle rifle. They fell and rolled onto the ground when a Phantom flies over them carrying a Wraith.

In the distances they see Covenant forces blocking the bridge when a grunt on the watch tower aims his fuel rod and fire at them.

Buck and Sarge quickly dodge the incoming fuel rods with few hit the truck. Simmons and Y/n turn their turrets around and open fire at the Covenant forces on the bridge.

They shoot many down and soon they punch through the blockade and continue on.

Soon Ghost and now Choppers chase them with the Choppers boost over, try to ram into Buck, Rookie and Y/n's Warthogs. Buck quick turn to dodge its ramming and Y/n and Rookie open fire at the Chopper.

They keep firing it until it caught on fire and soon goes out of control. Soon the brute was launched out of the bridge and fall into the ocean.

They continue to fight the Covenant when suddenly a explosion appears near them. They turn to see a Wraith blocking their way as it begins to fire at theie location.

The two Warthogs dodges the Wraiths blast and keeps going. Both Simmons and Y/n begin to fire on the Wraith and manage to open its hatch which is where Rookie takes aim and fire, killing the driver as they drive by.

They soon enter a tunnel with a open view od the ocean on their left. Things seem to be okay when suddenly a Phantom came up beside them. It opens its right side door and brutes begin to fire Buck, Rookie and Y/n.

Rookie and Y/n begin to fire at them and take out a few brutes when the front turret of the Phantom begins to fire at them which Buck finds it hard to drive.

Y/n: Get me closer!

Buck: What?!

Y/n: Do it!

Buck obeys and gets the Warthog closer and closer to the Phantom while trying to avoid incoming cars. Then Y/n leaps across and lands inside of the Phantom as he quickly takes care of the occupants inside.

Once done he place a few high detonators onto the Phantom and then he leaps back across and lands back onto the gunner and they watch as the detonators blow up and the Phantom begins to fall and splash onto the water.

Buck: Yeah! Now that's what a Spartan does!

Y/n: Watcher how close are we?

Watcher: We'll arrive there in 5 minutes. Double time people!

They keep driving and soon exit out of the tunnel just to witness a massive Covenant ship nearly approaching New Mombasa.

It gets interrupted when Scarabs came out of the sea and climb through the ramp and onto the city above each tunnels they go through.

The first three ignore them however the fourth one turn and begin to charge up its beam.

Buck: It's targeting the truck!

Suddenly a rocket hits the Scarabs face and they look up of the truck and to their surprise sees Lopez on top of the garbage truck with a rocket launcher.

He then fired another rocket around and hitting the Scarab in the face once again which cost it to forget about them and enter the city.

Y/n: Good to see you back Lopez!

Lopez: (spanish) Been so long!

Sarge: You have been gone for so long!

Lopez: (Spanish) That's what I said idiot!

Doc: (radio) Me and Donut gather as many metal parts as possible. He's not fully functional.

Then Lopez goes offline and falls back inside as Y/n tells Doc.

Y/n: We'll get him repaired once we are out of here.

Watcher: Good news, we're here!

They see the zoo on their right so they go down to a tunnel and then enter the zoo. They park at the round about and they all got out and make their way to the front entrance.

(Epic music ends)

The injured marines, ODST and the Engineer sat down inside while those who can still fight went outside with as much weapons they can get and watch as Phantoms begin to drop off Covenant forces.

Y/n: This is our last stand everyone! Let's hold our ground until Buck's squad arrived. Let's give them hell!

UNSC Marines and ODST: Sir yes sir!

Soon Brutes, Jackals, grunts and Drones begin to charge towards them and they begin to open fire at them. A massive fire fight happen asboth Covenant forces and a small marine forces fought with both sides losing their troops but they keep fighting.

Y/n hides behind a pillar as he came out and fire his rifle and shoot down a few grunts and jackals. He pulled out a grenade the throws it towards them and a few get blown up.

More Phantoms arrive to drop off more as Hunter came and begin to fire at them.

Grif: There's too many of them!

Simmons: We don't stand a chance!

Buck: Keep fighting!

They continue shooting at them and pushing them back as long as they can. More Covenant forces just keep coming while they are losing Marines and ODST's by the second they begin to lose hope when suddenly a Phantom came and begin to shoot down the Covenant troops from below.

Buck: That's them!

Y/n: Then let go! Come on! Come on! Go Go Go!

Everyone follows the Phantom as it begins to hover on the right side od the zoo and opens up a gravity lift. The Covenant troops were about to chase after them but a few ODST were smart enough to place explosions onto the garbage truck.

They pull the trigger and the truck blows up, this sent the Covenant troops back as one by one they were lifted up onto the Phantom.

The Engineer at first was afraid to go up when Remington calms it down.

Remington: It's okay. It's okay. You can trust us.

The Engineer trust her and they begin to go up. Buck and Y/n were the last two as they were lifted up and once everyone is inside the Phantom flies away.

We cut to inside od the Phantom as Y/n took off his helmet and breaths a sigh of relief as he place his back onto the wall and slides down until he sat down.

He was sweating, tired, hungry and a bit weak from the hell he has gone through. He looks over to see Buck's squad helping out the injured including one of their own. Them Cali came over and sat next to him as she took out a flask and drinks it.

Cali: Here.

She gives it to Y/n which he takes a drink.

Cali: Thank god we're out of that city.

Y/n: Yeah.

Cali: Although........the Covenant have won.

Y/n:.......Maybe. They have won this battle but we will not allow the Covenant to win the war. We won't rest.....until the Covenant is no more.

Cali agrees and then lay her head onto his shoulder and takes a nap which he allow her. The Phantom they are in flies away as they leaves New Mombasa while Covenant ships begin to glass onto the city. They may have won the battle of New Mombasa but humanity will win the war.
