Riley's POV

"I'll handle this, you guys just go forward." Riley said, angrily, and watched the others go out as she drew her knife.

As soon as the door closed, Alicia walked up slowly to Riley. "When I kill you here, Zeus will be mine. You will die by my hands today, Riley." She said arrogantly.

"I made a promise that I'm intending to keep," Riley said, and rushed Alicia.

The two exchanged their first blows, and the fight was on. Riley kicked Alicia in her side, and Alicia flew into the wall, her head impacting it and knocking her over.

Alicia rose up and used the wall as a propeller that she kicked her feet off of. She flew into Riley and hit her helmet, cracking her visor.

Riley flew back and landed on her back. She shook her head and then arose, throwing off her helmet.

"You took Zeus from me, and you're going to pay with your life! I hate you!" Alicia yelled.

"He didn't want you in the first place," Riley said, and charged again, with her knife drawn.

Alicia rolled out of her way and tripped her, and she fell over and dropped her knife.

"Clumsy oaf," Alicia stated as she drew her knife and stabbed Riley in the arm.

Riley shrieked in pain. That knife was laced in the same drug that had made Zeus pass out to pain. Before Alicia could retrieve her knife and make Riley suffer even more, Riley arose and took the knife out of her arm. "I'm not losing to a creep like you," She stated.

"I can kill you without a knife or a gun, sweetheart." Alicia said.

"Only Zeus is allowed to call me that, honey." Riley said.

Alicia charged again, enraged. This time, though, Riley anticipated her every move. She blocked every punch, countered every kick, and swept Alicia off of her feet. She stabbed Alicia in her left arm with the same knife laced in drugs. Alicia screamed in excruciating pain.

"Alicia, you shouldn't have turned on your brethren. You shouldn't have gone to the wrong side. You should have dropped your jealousy before you went and messed the rest of your life up forever. Now Team Icarus's name is dirt and you are about to die."

Alicia grabbed Riley's leg and tripped her and arose, and then drove the knife right into Riley's abdomen just like she had done to Zeus.

Riley's nerves shut down from all the pain that her body had just gone through. She couldn't move but she was still conscious.

"You see, where you messed up, Riley, is that you forget that I always get what I want; either I win or everybody dies. That is the reason why Kyle, Aaron, and Rachel all died- because they didn't give me what I wanted. So, I made sure they died on Requiem. You're going to die a slow and painful death, and I'm going to enjoy sinking my blade into every part of your body and hearing you scream. After you die, I'm going to take Zeus from you and enjoy torturing him until he succumbs to my will."

Riley started to cry, her memories of the last five days passing by in her head.  She remembered the love that she had felt from Zeus and from Peter. She remembered holding Peter when  he had a nightmare, and kissing Zeus while staring out at the galaxy. This woman was willing to rip away everything she had, everything Zeus had, everything that their tiny family had so that she could be happy.

As her consciousness faded, and as Alicia got closer, Riley had a flashback to the night where she had promised Zeus that she would make it home safe.

"You know Alicia will stop at nothing to have her way. I don't want to lose you, too." Zeus said, stroking her cheek.

"Sweetheart, I promise, the next time I see her, my knife is going into her chest." Riley said, and then kissed Zeus.

Her knife!

Riley miraculously could move her muscles.

"I promised Zeus he wouldn't lose another man today," God said, "and he isn't about to lose you too. Get up. Alicia has made her decision."

Riley grabbed her knife, which was sitting closer to her than Alicia was, and  she waited as Alicia crept closer and closer.

"I wanna hear you beg, beg for your life!" Alicia said, menacingly as she was right behind Riley.

Riley kicked her foot out behind her, and knocked Alicia on the ground. Alicia dropped her knife. 

Riley picked it up and looked Alicia straight in her eyes. "I made Zeus a promise," she said, and drove both knives into Alicia's chest, and then jumped on them both, delivering a killing blow to Alicia.

Riley went and sat on the wall, sighing as the ODST's came in.

"Cigarette?" One said as she was getting examined by a medic.

"No thanks," she said, "I don't smoke."
