5 Days Later...

Peter had started walking again. The miracle serum ONI gave to Derek helped the little guy's bones heal faster. 

Zeus arose from his bed and looked outside his window to see the Revenge and the Ravager- two ships instead of one.

"Colonel Makara to the Bridge immediately." the intercom stated, waking Riley up. She and Peter frowned, both looking at Zeus.

"Are you going to be back soon, Zeus?" Peter asked, with fear in his eyes.

After Zeus suited up, he knelt down and hugged Peter tightly. "Yes, bud. Don't be afraid."

Peter hugged him right back and said, "Hurry back, please."

Zeus exited the room and put his helmet on. He ran along to the bridge, and thought about Peter. It had only been five days since Zeus had gotten to know the boy he saved the first night on Harvest. He grew to love him, and vowed to protect him. Riley too. Asher, Finn, Alicia, the insurgency, if Zeus had to cut them down to defend the weak, he would. He would stop at nothing to protect Riley, Peter and Derek.

When Zeus reached the bridge, he saw Commander Kai Akasutchi, the commander of the Chaplain's corps, and Commander Vitaly Shelton, commander of the ODST drop troops aboard the Ravager. Zeus extended his hand and they both shook it in order.

"The insurgency here has gotten strong, Colonel. In the last five days, they have recruited every terrorist and mercenary to their cause. No Spartans other than the traitors of Icarus Squadron have joined their cause." Shelton said.

"Zeus, I'm proud at the Spartan you have become. Whatever decisions you make, our forces will back you fully." Akasutchi said.

After Akasutchi finished his statement, Palmer's face appeared on the monitor.

"We have the opportunity to take the insurgency down today. We must strike the Viper at it's head- the Forerunner base in the north. Many men may die today, but this is for the innocent people of Harvest. Makara. I need you to take your team and deal with Asher. The two ONI sisters will be on this bridge, issuing orders."

"What of the Sanghelli, ma'am?" Zeus asked.

"He's going to kill Perrault while you keep Team Icarus busy." she said, grimly.

Zeus met Reeva in the hangar and quickly spoke to her. "Please, I'm asking you to protect Peter and look after him." He said, nervously.

She nodded and walked back to the bridge. Zeus put his helmet on and walked up to the ODST squad and Riley, Derek, and Z. "I'm not gonna lie to you," he began, "but the odds look grim. Even though we have three ships full of ODST's and three Spartans, they have every mercenary money and greed can buy. These guys show no mercy. But I have faith in all of you that we will put an end to suffering on Harvest. This final assault will cut the head off of the Viper today. Let's go win this! Oorah?"

"OORAH!"

The men boarded their Pelicans and for the first time in nearly thirty years, Harvest was about to see war again. But this wasn't just a war- it was a fight for the colonist's freedom. No man deserves to be enslaved by a tyrannic regime, and it was about time the Viper insurgency had paid for what they had done.

Zeus closed the back hatch to the Pelican, and sat down. Both Riley and Derek were sharpening their knives. Z gave Zeus something from his belt. He activated it, and it was an energy sword.

"If this man is close to killing you, activate this and bring justice for what he has done. He has made his choice," Z said, gravely, "and we are the right arm of God, about to bring vengeance on the bad in this world."

As soon as Zeus's boots hit the ground, all Hell broke loose.

Mortar fire was everywhere, and Zeus's men were being mowed down by machine gun fire.

The Orbital Shock Drop Pods dropped behind enemy lines, and before the enemy could focus fire on them, Zeus acted. "Create a diversion!" He yelled across the comms, and the  ODST's popped red smoke and fired through it, causing the enemy to focus fire on them.

The other ODST's behind enemy lines surprise attacked them, razing them to the ground.

"All clear, Colonel. Move up." the ODST captain said. As Zeus reached the front door of the compound, he gave out new orders:

"Men, I need half of you to get set up out here in a defensive stance. I need the other half to run in and clear this building. Leave the Spartans and the Commander to us and the Elite!"

Zeus ran into the building, with Z, Derek, Riley, and the ODST's in tow. They ran down the corridor, the ODST's clearing every room, and they reached the end of the hallway, which had one door on the wall. The Spartans and Elite ran through and the door closed.

Alicia sat waiting on the other side, knife drawn and helmet off, with a bloodthirsty look on her face.

"I'll handle this, you guys just go forward." Riley said, angrily and drew her knife. Derek, Zeus, and Z moved past her and went into the next corridor, clearing all the enemies out. They reached the end of that hallway and went through the only door again.

Finn sat waiting on the other side of this door, with his helmet off.

"I'l handle this, you guys. Just go ahead." Derek said, and drew his knife.

Zeus and Z exited the room and ran through the last door to find Asher waiting for them. 

"Z, go fulfill your mission objective," Zeus said, "this one is mine."

Z nodded his head, leaving a level-headed Zeus behind with his knife drawn.
