i pay no attention to the demon in the corner of
my room.
because i know if i do look, it'd become true.
the rumors and pieces of speech, will be known to me.
the actions and side effects will stick to my mind.
to try and forget and let go, i will not have the time.
i pay no attention to the moving stain on my carpet.
because i know if i do look, it'd become a physical, alive, and ready to kill creature.
the fear of death will be known to me.
its actions and side effects will kill my mind.
i will not be able to forget and let go, it won't let me have the time.
i pay no attention to sounds coming from outside my bedroom door.
because i know if i do go look, my spine will be ripped straight out of my body.
the pain of death will be all i know.
that action and the one simple side effect will be the death of mind.
there will be no trying to forget and letting go,
death waits for no one to have the time.
i pay no attention to shadow that flashes across my window.
because i know if do look from under the blinds, a hideous creature will steal my soul with one simple glance.
the sight of eyes popping out from the sockets will be know to me.
its actions and side effects will stick to my mind.
i will not be able to try and forget and let go, it will steal my time.
i pay no attention to dark world around me as i  to try sleep.
because i know if i do look, my nightmares will become true.
