"excuse me", i say, as i swallow my words.
swallow the bird.
i swallow its chirps.
i don't chirp anymore and neither does it.
we're both at a loss for words.
i flip the bird.
my stomach aches,
it turns and flips.
it feels like it's ready for this world.
i can feel the bird.
the bird wants to fly.
fly deep into the starry night sky.
"oh sorry", i say, as i swallow my words.
i get swallowed by the bird.
traveling deep into its chest.
puked out, into its nest.
i flip the bird.
the bird flys.
i feel like i should fly.
i jump out and swallow the bird,
just as i've swallowed my words.
my stomach aches,
it turns and flips.
it sounds out.
the prettiest chirp,
the best one you've ever heard.
the voice that will never be heard.
"excuse me", i say, as i swallow my words.
