The Hunt

Halloween is around the corner.

What best to celebrate than to get in the mood with a mix of fantasy, horror science fiction, and whatnot?

@_SteamPunk proposes you a prompt to gather all this:

All around you is dark and foggy. The beast is coming, you know it, but you hear nothing else than your heart beat, invading your sense.

Something is moving. Red dots hovering in the dense cloud.

This creature hunting you is no man, no beast, even... It has but one objective: to terminate you!

Your mission, if you accept it, is to write a story with this prompt:

The Terminator is on the Hunt!

But we want a twist to it, a SteamPunk twist. Is your character hunted down by Frankenstein's creature? Or is it a rogue clockwork? Or is he the one hunting?

Some Guidelines:

Word Count: Maximum 500

Start Date: October, 20th, 2018

End Date: November, 7th, 2018

The Detective Associate

If you are not a writer, do not leave as we have a task for you.

The Detective in Baker Street is looking for an associate or two, to help him unravel a mystery.

Not long ago, he received a strange message and some clues.

Will you be able to help him?

A letter arrived early in the morning, starting with those words:

"My dear friend... Or is it enemy?

I found them, and will not let them be.

If you can, will you try an stop me?

[...]"

This could only mean one thing. His greatest enemy was planning the theft of the century.

The clues about what shall be protected puzzled him, though, as the letter continued as follow:

"[...]

Three rules to survive.

Two items of legends and secret.

A unique chance to find out about the truth.

If you do not find this first story before me, look out for

Terminator will meet the Evil Queen!"

The above were quite clear. His greatest enemy had planned to steal two stories. The detective had to find them and protect them. Can you help him?
