Evading The Giggling Ballet Dancers
Harvey was running at breakneck speed, from a horde of giggling ballet dancers. They were advancing towards him, with their nonstop giggles. What they wanted from him, was beyond him.
"Come here, big boy!" said one of them.
"We love you!" giggled another.
"You girls leave me alone!" yelled Harvey, trying his best to evade their presence. "Why, of all nights, did it have to be Halloween?"
Harvey was this close to giving up, but he was approaching his friend's house. "Sanctuary!" he beamed. He could still hear those incessant giggles. The ballet dancers were not far behind. He made it to the front door, and rang the doorbell, frantically. "Please be home!"
His friend opened the door. "Harvey, what's the matter? You look like you seen a ghost!"
"Let me hide, Samuel!" he stammered. "A bunch of giggling ballet dancers are after me! Let me in, now!"
"Well, I don't know," said Samuel, thoughtfully.
Being the impatient person that he is, Harvey rushed inside, ran upstairs, and hid in Samuel's closet. Samuel quickly closed the door, so as not to alert them to his house to find Harvey. He also locked it.
"Woe is me!" said Harvey, in the closet. "Those girls give me the heebie jeebies! Their giggling is so annoying! It drives me nuts!"
"Come on out of there!" demanded Samuel.
"Is it safe to come out?" asked Harvey.
"Yes," said Samuel.
Harvey came out of the closet, and was much relieved. "Thanks for keeping me safe!"
"Don't mention it," said Samuel. "What did those girls want with you, anyway?"
"I haven't the faintest idea," said Harvey, panting heavily.
"I see," said Samuel. "You should be safe, now. Why don't you head on back home?"
"What if those ballet dancers see me?"
"They won't, I promise. "Head on home, I'm about to sleep."
"But, Samuel!"
"Now, Harvey! I had a long night, passing out candy to the trick or treaters! Be on your way!"
"Okay," said Harvey. He went back downstairs, and left Samuel's house, without saying good night. And, just when he thought he was home free....
"There he is!" squealed one of the ballet dancers. "Get him!"
"Not again!" howled Harvey. And, he ran like the wind, as fast as his legs could carry him, all the way home, from those giggling ballet dancers, that were in hot pursuit, yet again.
"I hate Halloween!" said Harvey.
A/N Oof, Harvey is in a tough spot! Hopefully, he'll make it back home! Don't be a silent reader. Please leave feedback. Thanks.
