Adam had never known his father. For eighteen years he'd grown up with his mother near the woods. When twelve, his mother told him the truth, told him they were a werewolf family.

Yet still, Adam was worried. 'Mother, the other werewolf's tease me, say I'm ugly and don't fit in.'

His mother sighed. 'Adam, I'm sorry. You need to know. It was a night when I changed into my werewolf form. But I'd been drinking, drinking far too much when I ran wild in the woods that night.
