Chapter 1 ~ The Decision

"She deserves another chance!" Pleaded a flame-colored tom.
"Firestar, there are many cats who deserve another chance at life why should this one she-cat get one?" A blue-grey she-cat mewed wisely.
"Bluestar, Half Moon deserves another chance with the one cat she loves the most," Firestar continued to try to persuade her, his green, stary eyes glowed with passion.
"You realize that sending her back to be with him would break the warrior code?!" Bluestar asked confused on why the tom would suggest such a thing.
"Jayfeather has done so much for all the Clans and for Starclan. He deserves to have some happiness after uprooting his life to fulfill the destiny he was given!" Firestar explained sadly.
"I suppose your right, Firestar, but you will have to take it up with her ancestors," Bluestar nodded.
"Do I have your permission to go then?" Firestar asked with hope filling his mew.
"Actually, I think I'll go with you, we'll take a few of the others with us of course," Bluestar purred.
     "Who?" Firestar tilted his head.
"How about Hollyleaf, Leafpool, Honeyfern, and our newest member Cremekit?" Bluestar asked.
"Perfect, I'll get them now Bluestar!" Firestar purred before running off to fetch the others.
Bluestar sat at the pool of water that allowed Starclan to see the living cats. She saw Jayfeather, Thunderclan's medicine cat, walking sadly through the forest. Jayfeather had been the one to care for Cremekit when she was alive. She had joined Starclan not long after Jayfeather took her in as his own when he found her near the border of Thunderclan's territory.
"Firestar wants to send Half Moon back to him, I think I shall send Cremekit back to him as well," Bluestar mewed to herself.
"Really?!" A squeaky voice came from behind Bluestar.
Bluestar turned around to find Cremekit standing there in pure excitement. Bluestar nodded once purring at the young kit. Using her tail Bluestar pulled the kitten closer to her and together they watched Jayfeather as he visited the place that Cremekit was buried.
"I can't wait to go home to father!" Purred Cremekit.
"Father?!" Bluestar asked surprised.
"Yes, he is the one who took care of me. Doesn't that make him my father?" Cremekit said in confusion.
"Yes, I believe it does little one. Don't worry you be with him again soon," Bluestar said licking the young kit's ear.

"And why should Half Moon get another chance at life?" Asked a old brown tom.
"She never got the chance to live the life she wanted, she never got a mate, she never had kits of her own..." Firestar started to beg.
"Half Moon come forth," demanded the old brown tom.
"Yes, Brown Hawk of the twisting wind?"   Half Moon, a white she-cat with green eyes asked.
"Do you wish to return to Jay's Wing?" Asked Brown Hawk.
"Yes! Brown Hawk, Yes!" Half Moon purred.
"Then you may go with these Clan cats and return to the one you love," Brown Hawk dipped his head in good bye.
     "Thank you," Half Moon whispered.
The white she-cat ran after the cats of Starclan back to their sky and sat with her at the pool that connects to the moonpool of the living world.
"Half Moon you understand you may not remember anything when you go back right?" Firestar asked.
"Yes, but my heart never will," Half Moon confessed.
"Are your going to be my mother?" Asked Cremekit to Half Moon.
"What do you mean little one?" Half Moon asked.
"I claimed Jayfeather as my father and if you are going to be his mate that would make you my mother right?" The young kit asked nervously.
"Yes, I would be proud to call you my kit!" Half Moon purred.
"I will see you soon mother!" Yowled Cremekit.
"See you soon my sweet little mouse!" Purred Half Moon as her vision faded, a sign that she was returning to the living world.
