Name: Malcom Derontoney, named for a character in Shakespeare's Macbeth. Most call him Nit, for some odd reason. Probably because of his slightly picky nature.

Nicknames: As previously mentioned, he's got Nit, occasionally Derontony, when people are angry with him.

Age: 17

Grade: 11, He makes school seem easy, let's just be honest.

Personality: He's the type to stumble over his words when they're not scripted for him. He's got a lot less of that "stage fright" and a lot more of that "people fright." A rather socially awkward youngling, Nit tends to stress very easily. Some would say he's convinced he's going to die half the time, even though he's got everything under control, lassie.

Malcom is naturally very polite, almost too much so. He's learned it from years of stumbling over stage crew and trying not to shovel them over. It's rarely that great though.

After you get to know him a bit, he'll go out of his way to be remembered by you. Flowers are his absolute specialty, and he's proud to say he's without allergies, bless his soul, the poor kid.

People tend to miss out on seeing him in a room full of people because of his bashful modesty, so you'll have to keep a well trained eye on this one.

Nit tends to be unbearably awkward. He's uncomfortable around compliments, and utterly ready to go dig a hole and live in it on the occasion of flirts being around him. The poor kid usually can't tell which way is up under these awful circumstances.

Likes: The feeling of being someone else, even for a night. He doesn't exactly have a true love for himself. He can get a bit too carried away in playing a role that sometimes he forgets to be Nit, the kid who amazed his friends at school by doing extraordinary impressions, the kid who loves food with his entire soul. Most though, the kid who isn't always the smartest and best, as much as he would like to be.

The rush of air after leaving the dressing room. Those rooms are stuffy beyond measure, they should get some proper ventilation, in his own personal opinion.

Long speeches, they interest Nit greatly. He really just does like to hear people talk, it's an odd thing that calms him down. The longer the better.

Being non-confined. The open, without people, might I add, is where Malcom belongs. The fire escape outside his window is a frequent safe place, it's so far off the ground that it's perfect. Nobody ever bothers to look up.

Shakespeare. Oh he's legitimately in love with his writing. He's not too much a fan of Romeo and Juliet, but he adores just about everything else the playwright has to offer. His personal favorite show is A Midsummer Night's Dream.

A secret now, he's head over heels for Ziona, and god forbid she find out. It's a little bit pitiful, really, but he's almost so in love it hurts. That's actually one of the only reasons he wears a watch, he's not too much of a fan of them otherwise.

Dislikes: Critics. May. You. Just. Stop. Judging. Nit's. Style. It's his thing, people, just chillax. He doesn't mind the constructive stuff though, it's just the one after the other kind that bugs him.

People, overall, really.

Romance, the bit about getting someone to like you please. Even though Nit is a brilliant Petruchio, he finds real life to be far more awkward. He's generally rejected.

People who aren't appreciative of true art. He's not a big fan of most popular music, he's more a guy for the classics. Sadly, that sort of thing isn't all too accepted. Some of us are working out butts off back here trying to preserve fine history, sourpusses.

Backstory: Nit was born into a family of theatrical whizzes. He basically grew up onstage. Most of his time was spent helping performers until he was finally old enough for some noticeable roles.

The first character he ever performed as was one of the servants in The Taming Of the Shrew. His first major role, however, was as Brutus in Julius Caesar. From then on he knew he was destined for the stage.

He only went to public school up until he was twelve, when he was privately tutored as to help with the continuation of his theatrical career. He hadn't complained about that one bit.

Malcolm's parents have always been extremely supportive of him, and around quite often, until a few years ago. When a colleague of theirs
Had her baby unexpectedly in the theatre, the frail woman passed away. Nit's parents are now caring for the little girl, Bianca, named for fair Bianca from The Taming of the Shrew. Despite the inconvenience, Malcom adores his younger sister.

He met Ziona because their fire escapes were almost shared. Poof, a friendship was formed and both of them finally had found someone tolerable who shared at least a few of the little things he other enjoyed.

Your type/ relationship status:
Malcom could say his type is Ziona, but that would probably be a rainy prospect. He really just likes the people who come to his shows and keep everything all tip top and on the spot.

He is single as well, and most likely will be for a long time coming.

What your soulmate's tattoo looks like: A honeybee, we're not quite sure why. Probably something to do with how overlooked he can be sometimes, poor kid.
