A Saturday evening...

Anirudh returned from his office a little early.

Shalini, Harsha and Khushi were present at home. Ruhi and Vidyut were in School and College, respectively. Saurav is at the office.

Khushi (looking at Anirudh): Papa...

She shouted excitedly. Shalini snapped towards Khushi, then turned her attention towards the door, following Khushi's gaze. Harsha came running from her room, listening to Khushi's shout.

Looking at Anirudh, Harsha sighed in relief.

Harsha: Kya dono baap, beti aese darane par ho? (Why you both Father-Daughter are trying to scare us?)

Anirudh: I came early to give you a surprise. Look, how happy she is.

He took Khushi and pecked her cheeks.

Harsha rolled her eyes.

Anirudh: Dadi, I am thinking of taking Harsha and Khushi out.

Shalini: You should! Go and enjoy yourself.

Harsha: Let Saurav or Vidyut come.

Shalini: By the time you get ready.

Saurav came back from the office after a few minutes.

He sat beside Shalini.

Saurav: Bhai, Bhabhi?

Shalini: They are getting ready.

Saurav (nodded): I will get fresh and come.

Shalini nodded. Saurav went to his room.

After some time, Harsha, Anirudh and Khushi bid bye to Shalini and Saurav left.

Saurav took his laptop and sat with Shalini in the living room.

Saurav: When Vidyut and Ruhi will be back?

Shalini smiled a little, noticing how Saurav started to include Ruhi in the conversation.

Shalini: They must be on their way.

Saurav nodded and sat working on his laptop. Just then, Vidyut and Ruhi entered.

Ruhi excitedly came running towards Shalini. Shalini embraced her, pecking her forehead.

Shalini: Kaisa tha din? (How was your day?)

Ruhi (pout): Not good... I have a lot of homework.

Shalini chuckled.

Shalini: Go and get fresh. Vidyut help her.

Vidyut (nodding): Bhabhi?

Saurav: Bhai, Bhabhi and Khushi went to spend some time.

Vidyut: Ohh!!!

Vidyut and Ruhi went in room. Vidyut helped her and then went to his room. Shalini pushed her wheelchair and went into Anirudh and Harsha's room where Ruhi's everything is kept. She was Ruhi setting her hair.

Shalini: Ruhi bache

Ruhi looked at Shalini.

Shalini: Come here...

She said, opening her arms; Ruhi went towards her and hugged her.

Shalini: Ruhi yaad hai us din Vidyut bhai and Saurav bhai lad rahe the ke Ruhi kiske sath soyegi? (Ruhi, do you remember, a few days back, Saurav and Vidyut were fighting over whom Ruhi would share a room with?)

Ruhi nodded, smiling as she recalled their argument.

Shalini: Bolo bhai ko treat de phir aaj (then tell him he owes you a treat today)

Ruhi (small pout): Bhaiya will scold me.

Shalini: Why? I will twist his ear if he scolds you.

Ruhi giggled and went out.

Saurav was too focused on his work to notice Ruhi's presence. Ruhi poked her finger on his forearm. Saurav raised his long eyelashes from his laptop to find Ruhi standing in front of him with an innocent pout.

Saurav shifted his attention to Ruhi and raised his eyebrow.

Ruhi: My treat?

Saurav (confused): Treat?

Ruhi: Aapne us din bola na if I choose you, then you will give me a treat. (That day you said)

Saurav (confused): Hmm??? 😕

Ruhi (sighing): Arey!! When you and Vidyut bhaiya were fighting. You told me if I chose you then you would give me an ice cream treat.

Saurav (hiding his smile): I said something like this? I don't think so 🤔

Ruhi (shocked): Haa Haa bola aapne (Yes yes you said)

Saurav: No baba... I never said...

He pretends to focus on his laptop. Ruhi glared at him.

Ruhi (angry pout 😡, mumbling): Bhaiya jooth jooth bol rahe hai (Brother is lying)

She walked towards the kitchen to fetch some water. Saurav was smiling listening to her words.

Ruhi went into the kitchen and noticed two glasses of milk. She quickly remembers after coming from school. Harsha used to give her milk for her and the other glass for Vidyut.

She drank water then took one glass of milk and walked towards Vidyut's room. As she passed Saurav, she glared at him and walked away, making him chuckle at her antics

She went into Vidyut's room and saw him pacing back and forth while talking with someone on call.

Ruhi (angrily): Vidyut bhaiya...

Vidyut saw her and raised his eyebrow.

Ruhi (angrily): Milk... Aap bhi bhul gaye? (You, too, forgot?)

Vidyut gave her a confused look and disconnected the call. He made Ruhi sit on the bed and place the glass on the nightstand.

Vidyut (chuckling): What happened?

Ruhi (complaining): Saurav bhaiya jooth jooth bol rahe hai. Us din bola ice cream treat dege. Abhi bol rahe hai (mimicking Saurav): No baba... I never said. This is cheating. (Saurav bhaiya is lying. That day, he said, he would give me an ice cream treat. Now, he said)

Vidyut chuckles, listening to her complain.

Ruhi (angrily): Main bahut gussa hoon. Aap haso mat. (I am angry. Don't laugh)

Vidyut (holding his ears): Okay okay! I am sorry. Where is your milk?

Ruhi: Kitchen.

Vidyut: Go and bring it.

Ruhi nodded and ran out of his room. He chuckled.

Ruhi went into the kitchen and came out to see Shalini, who also came back into the living area. Shalini noticed Ruhi glaring at Saurav.

Shalini: What happened?

Ruhi (angrily, complaining): Saurav Bhaiya is lying. He is saying, "He never said he would give me a treat". This is cheating Dadi 😤

Ruhi turned to Saurav and forwarded her pinky finger.

Ruhi (angrily): Saurav bhaiya Katti...

Saurav (chuckle): Arey Arey!!!

Shalini (shaking her head in disbelief): Saurav, don't trouble her.

Saurav (laughing): Okay okay!! I am sorry. We will go for a treat.

Ruhi (looking at Saurav from side-eyes 👀): Now?

Saurav (nodded): Hmm!!! Now... complete your milk first.

Ruhi nodded with a big smile and gulped down a whole glass of milk in a go.

Shalini (chuckling): Shant bache shant...

After finishing milk...

Ruhi (excitedly): I am coming...

She ran towards Vidyut's room.

Shalini: She just had milk now. So, don't take her to the ice cream parlour now.

Saurav nodded with a sigh.

With Ruhi...

She excitedly ran towards Vidyut's room.

Ruhi (happily announcing): Bhaiya... I am going for an ice cream treat with Saurav Bhaiya.

Vidyut (giggle): Finally, Saurav bhaiya agreed.

Ruhi (cooing): Yes Yes!!

Vidyut nodded with a chuckle.

Ruhi: I will bring one for you as well. Your favourite?

Vidyut (ruffling her hair): Whichever you like.

Ruhi (whining): Don't spoil my hair. I have to go.

She ran towards the mirror and saw her hair, which was perfect. She smiled and ran out, shouting bye...

Ruhi came back, after bidding bye to Vidyut.

Shalini: Come here bacha...

Ruhi went towards her. Shalini wiped her mouth and lips where milk was spread.

Shalini (pecking her head): Enjoy and also do trouble your Saurav bhaiya.

Ruhi (joyfully): Yes Yes Yes...

Saurav: Anirudh Bhaiya has taken the car. So, we have to go by bike.

Ruhi: Okay.

Saurav took the bike keys, and they left.
