Anirudh stood up and was about to leave.

Vidyut: Wait! No one is going to sleep. First, take your gifts.

Anirudh sighed and sat on the sofa. Everyone joined him. Vidyut walked into his room and came back with a bag.

He first handed a gift to Shalini. Shalini smiled widely and patted his cheek.

Vidyut (grinning): A beautiful dress for my pretty, cute, beautiful-

Anirudh intrepet in mid.

Anirudh (rolling his eyes): Okay! Stop buttering my wife. We all know she is perfect.

Vidyut scrunching his nose.

Vidyut: Why you are jealous?

Harsha: Enough! Now, don't fight. Can't you two spend a day without fighting? Vidu, give me my gift.

Anirudh rolls his eyes. Vidyut giggled and did as Harsha said.

He gave gifts to Anirudh and Saurav.

He then took a teddy bear from his bag. Khushi saw him.

Khushi (excitedly): Cha...

She forwarded her hands, asking him to give her. He gave her a teddy bear. She giggles, pecking his cheek

Vidyut chuckled and took out a box of chocolate from his bag.

Vidyut (small smile) Ruhi, this is for you.

Harsha and Shalini saw them and smiled. A small made its way towards Saurav's lips as well. Anirudh saw them but then diverted his attention from them.

Ruhi grinned widely and pecked his cheek excitedly as Khushi did.

Ruhi: Thank you bhaiya.

Vidyut (smiling): These are your favourite chocolates, right?

Ruhi nodded, smiling.

Anirudh (shocked): How do you know her favourite chocolates?

Vidyut: Umm... as I used to go and pick her up from the bus stand. I used to buy chocolate for her and always, she chose this one chocolate. So, I guessed it.

Harsha and Shalini looked at each other and smiled. This new information gave a different peace to Shalini's heart. She loved the fact that Vidyut already started to accept Ruhi. That way, it isn't too long before he accepts her as his sister.

Shalini: I wanted to discuss one thing with you all.

Everyone's attention shifted to Shalini.

Shalini: Saurav, Vidyut, can one of you share your room with Ruhi? So, Anirudh can shift back to his room.

Saurav and Vidyut looked at each other and then turned to Anirudh, who was already looking at them.

Shalini and Harsha were waiting for Saurav or Vidyut to say something but the boys were silent.

Ruhi was waiting for one of them to choose her.

Saurav: I guess me. I will be fine with it.

Shalini nodded. Anirudh sighed.

Saurav (trying to cover up): As we can't leave her with Vidyut, he has a habit of rolling over the bed in sleep. He may kick her or hurt her.

Vidyut (shocked): Wait! Wait!! Wait!!! Uh-huh!! Bhai don't lie. I don't have any such habit.

Saurav: You have...Don't deny it. Now keep quiet.

Vidyut: Fine! Let's test it. Dadi, I will share my room with Ruhi.

Saurav snapped at him. He just said it as an excuse as he was willing to accept Ruhi with open arms but he needs time.

Saurav: We shouldn't take risk. So, shut up.

Vidyut (whining): I won't. Don't use your elder brother's power.

Saurav: I said first. So, I won.

Vidyut: So? I was also about to say.

Saurav (winning smile): But I did first.

Vidyut (fake crying): Dadi asks him to be quiet. I will share my room with Ruhi. Besides, Bhai will be getting married soon.

Saurav: Dates aren't decided yet. Shut up. Don't argue with me.

Vidyut: You are arguing not me. You are the elder one. Have some courtesy, let your younger brother do as his will.

Shalini, Harsha and Ruhi were enjoying this bantering. Anirudh silently walked into his room.

Shalini (shaking her head in disbelief): We can do one thing, one day with Saurav and one day with Vidu?

Both looked at each other and nodded.

Saurav: But I said first. So, today me.

Vidyut: No!!! I am the youngest one. So, I should be first.

Harsha: Let's Ruhi decide.

Both turned to Ruhi. Though, this bantering is all about brothers but unintentionally, they are fighting for Ruhi. Not releasing this, Vidyut and Saurav are lost in their regular bantering.

Vidyut: Ruhi, choose me. See, I bought chocolates for you.

Saurav: Ruhi, I will treat you ice-cream this weekend.

Khushi (jumping in argument): Chaa... Bibi Ieeeee-eeemmmmm.

Harsha and Shalini chuckled.

Harsha: Vidu, let Ruhi go with Saurav today.

Vidyut (wiping his fake tears): I am agreeing to this just for you. No one loves me.

Harsha (squeezing his cheeks): Your sister is here.

Vidyut giggle.

Harsha: Saurav, I will get Ruhi fresh and send her to your room.

Saurav nodded.

With this, all bid bye and went towards their room.

Harsha made Ruhi ready for bed.

Harsha: If you are not able to sleep. Come here to me. Ask Saurav bhaiya and don't be afraid of him.

Ruhi nodded. Harsha pecked her cheeks.

Harsha: Good night.

Ruhi: Good night.

Ruhi pecked Khushi's cheeks and went into Saurav's room.

Saurav was lying on the bed. Ruhi lay beside him.

Saurav: Water jug is kept over there. If you need it in the middle of the night. Wake me up if you need to use the washroom.

Ruhi (nodded): Good night bhaiya.

Saurav: Good night.

Both drift off to sleep after a few minutes.
