Sun shining in the sky, spreading Orangish yellow sunlight all around with positivity and hope for a new day in life.

On this shining morning...

Saurav and Ruhi were sleeping peacefully, away from everything. When someone decides to spoil their beauty sleep.

The doorbell rang, listening to the voice of the bell. Ruhi changed her side and slept. Saurav groaned in sleep and thought to ignore the person. He went back to sleep.

A few minutes later, the doorbell rang again. Saurav was in deep slumber. Ruhi woke up finally.

Opening her eyes, she looked around in confusion, finding new surroundings around her. In recent days, she has been habitual of sleeping in Anirudh and Harsha's room beside Khushi. Looking at Saurav beside her, her little brain proceeded last night.

Once again doorbell rang a little louder. Saurav covered his ears with a blanket and slept. Ruhi quickly went out of the room. She took a chair and peeped from the doorhole. She saw Mihika standing at the door.

Ruhi jumped back from her chair and opened the door lock. As the door opened, without looking at a person, Mihika showered her questions.

Mihika (irritated): What's this behaviour, Saurav? What are you doing? Neither you are receiving my calls nor you were opening the door I-

She got quiet, finally noticing Ruhi. Ruhi was looking at her with confusion.

Mihika (confused): Ruhi Bache, where is Saurav?

Ruhi: Saurav bhaiya is sleeping.

Mihika (confused): Saurav is sleeping till this late?

Ruhi (nodded): He has a fever.

Mihika quickly rushed inside, placing bags on the table that she was carrying. She went into Saurav's room. Ruhi tailing behind her, half sleepy.

Mihika checked Saurav's forehead and sighed.

Mihika: He doesn't have a fever.

Ruhi: Raat ko bukhar tha. (At night, he had fever)

Mihika nodded and woke Saurav. After a few attempts, Saurav woke up.

Mihika: You okay?

Saurav: Yeah! Just a little headache.

Mihika: Have breakfast and take medicines.

Saurav nodded. Mihika sat beside him, he rested his head on her shoulder, closing his eyes.

Mihika: Ruhi, are you hungry?

Ruhi nodded with a pout

Mihika: Get fresh and brush your teeth. Till then I will heat the breakfast. I have already prepared for you both.

Ruhi nodded and went towards Anirudh and Harsha's room to get fresh.

Mihika (patting Saurav's cheek): You okay?

Saurav (wrapping his arms around her): I am fine.

Both stayed quiet for the next few seconds.

Saurav: Umm... Mihika, yester night, Ruhi took care of me. As I reached home. I lost my senses because of pain and fever. She brought cold water and a cloth to keep cold water cold on my forehead. She made jam and bread for us as dinner. She didn't even let me step out of bed.

Mihika (smiling): Umm.... Hmm...!!! Saurav, I guess for her, this maturity and care. She needs a proud pat on her back. Maybe you can order something for her from your side.
Ice-cream?

Saurav: I don't know her favourite!

Mihika: I will ask Harsha Bhabhi.

Saurav: Yeah! I will get fresh. She must be hungry.

Mihika nodded, pecking his cheek. Saurav went to get fresh Mihika reheated food.

In a few minutes. Ruhi came out. She settled on the dining table. Mihika was arranging everything.

Mihika: Saurav is also coming. Let's wait for him?

Ruhi (wobbling her head): Yes yes...

In a minute, Saurav joined them. They had breakfast in complete silence.

After breakfast...

Mihika: What should I prepare for lunch?

Saurav: Anything will work.

Mihika (glaring at him): I haven't heard the name of the dish "Anything". So, I don't even know how to prepare it. You have to change the dish.

Ruhi chuckles.

Mihika: Let me prepare something Ruhi's favourite. Ruhi?

Ruhi (happily): I love Mattar Paneer.

Mihika: Great! I will prepare it.

Saurav: Hmm... I will help you.

Mihika: You should take a rest. No wait... Tomorrow, Ruhi has an exam. So, you help her with revisions.

She ordered. Saurav sighed.

Mihika: Now, both go and get a bath. Then sit for studies.

Ruhi (pout): Today is Sunday. Hair wash.

Mihika: Oh! Don't worry. I will help you. Get your dress till then. I am coming...

Ruhi ran towards the room.

Mihika (holding Saurav's hand): Ruhi deserves a Thank-you from you. At night, the way she took care of you. If she wouldn't have, you might be suffering. I am not talking about gifts or something. Words do matter.

Saurav nodded.

Mihika (smiling): Also, I ordered her favourite ice cream. After lunch give it to her.

Saurav: Yeah fine.

Mihika nodded and went into the room to help Ruhi.

Saurav had a bath, and then he sat on the sofa talking on call.

Ruhi and Mihika came out, getting Ruhi ready. Saurav saw them.

Saurav: Dadi ka call hai. (Dadi's call it is).

Listening to the Dadi's call, Ruhi excitedly took the phone from his hand.

She spoke with Shalini for a few minutes and then hung up the call.

Mihika: Let's start your studies. Ruhi, bring your books.

Mihika went to cook lunch. Ruhi and Saurav sat for Ruhi's studies.

Saurav gave her a test to attempt, and Ruhi was focused on it.

Saurav (gathering courage): Thank you.

Ruhi shifted her attention to Saurav and then gazed around, finding someone to whom Saurav had just spoken.

Saurav smiled, looking at her confused face.

Saurav (pointing at Ruhi): I said you. Thank you.

Ruhi (knitting her eyebrows): Why?

Saurav: For taking care of me at night.

Not knowing what to say, Ruhi just nodded.

Saurav: Jam bread was amazing. You prepared it well.

Ruhi grinned, thinking of herself as a Best Chef 👩‍🍳.

Saurav's lips couldn't control from stretching in a wide smile.
