After having a sandwich and juice that Saurav ordered for Ruhi, she sat quietly in the cabin but soon began to feel bored. Her gaze wandered around the room until it landed on Saurav's mobile phone.

Curious, she picked up his phone and discovered a car racing game. Intrigued, she began playing it.

After a while, Saurav returned to his cabin. He had a headache, and his eyes looked red. He noticed Ruhi playing on his mobile phone. Clearing his throat, he caught her attention.

Saurav: Ghar Chale? (Shall we go home?)

Ruhi nodded. She handed him the phone, jumped off the couch, and grabbed her bag.

She walked over to Saurav, who took her hands in his as they left the office together.

Saurav helped her into the passenger seat and secured her with the seat belt before settling into the driver’s seat. They began their ride home.

Ruhi sat in silence, stealing glances at Saurav from time to time.

Ruhi (softly): Bhaiya, aapko fever hai. (Brother, you have a fever)

Saurav glanced at her and nodded before returning his attention to the road.

Once they arrived home, Saurav headed straight to the bedroom. Feeling exhausted, he lay down on the bed and closed his eyes.

Ruhi followed him and stood by the bed, looking at him with a sad pout.

Ruhi set her bag on the floor and dashed toward the kitchen. Saurav was rubbing his forehead with his thumb and forefinger to ease the pain.

After a few minutes, Ruhi returned with a bowl of water. She carefully placed it on the nightstand and quickly went out again. Saurav sensed some movement but was too exhausted to look at Ruhi.

When Ruhi came back into the room, she sat on the bed near Saurav.

Ruhi: Bhaiya, aap ache se so jao. Main pani wala kapda rakhu. (Brother, lie down properly so I can place a wet cloth on your forehead.)

Saurav listened to Ruhi's instructions. He took off his shoes and lay down on the bed. Ruhi soaked a cloth in a bowl of water and placed it on Saurav's forehead.

She repeated this several times, and gradually, Saurav's fever began to subside. He opened his eyes slightly and saw Ruhi caring for him.

Saurav: Ab main theek hoon. Main dinner banata hoon. (I feel much better now. I will start preparing dinner.)

Ruhi: No! You take rest. I will prepare jam bread.

She kinda ordered him.

Saurav: I will prepare our dinner.

Ruhi (angrily): I said no. Aap chup chap rest Karo. (You take rest quietly)

She ordered. Saurav sighed and nodded.

Ruhi, once again, placed a wet cloth on his head.

Ruhi: I will bring jam bread.

Without letting him speak. She ran out of room. She took a packet of bread, jam, a plate and a butter knife from the dining table. She went into the room again.

Placing the things on the bed.

Ruhi: Aapko pata hai medicine kaun si leni hai? (Do you know which medicine you have to take?)

Saurav nodded. He pointed at the drawer of the nightstand. Ruhi took out a medicine and gave it to Saurav with water. Saurav sat on the bed with support and took medicine. Ruhi sat on the bed and started preparing Jam bread.

He was staring at Ruhi, who was focused on preparing Jam Bread.

Saurav was staring at her when a flashback played in his mind.

FLASHBACK:

Vibha was pregnant with Vidyut.

It was evening time, After school. Anirudh went out to play with friends. Saurav was lying on his mother's lap.

Saurav: Mumma, why you baby girl?

He asked pointing at her baby bump.

Vibha: You don't want a sister?

Saurav pouted, not knowing if he wanted a brother or sister.

Vibha: I want a baby girl. So, she can love you and take care of you. Sisters are like mothers.

Saurav: But mumma, I will be her big brother. So, I will have to take care of her.

Vibha: Of course, you have to. You both have to take care of each other and love each other. Sisters are like mothers. She will take care of you like she is your mother.

Saurav: She will massage my hair like you?

Vibha nodded with a smile.

Saurav: Mujhe bukhar me aapke jaise pani wala rakhegi? (She will place wet cloth in fever?)

Vibha (flicking his nose): Why do you like soaked cloth in fever?

Saurav (pouting): Acha lagta hai (I like it)

He giggles.

Saurav: Okay! I want a sister.

Vibha: But you, too, have to take care of her, love her, play games with her.

Saurav: Mumma, I don't like girl's games. I get bored in Harsha Di's games.

Vibha giggles.

Saurav: Mumma, I will teach my sister boys games. We will play remote-controlled games and cricket.

He grinned happily.

Vibha joined his hands and placed her hands above his.

Vibha: Bhagwaan ji, mere beto ko ek choti si sister dena. (God, please give my sons a little sister)

Saurav: Yes bhagwaan ji! I want a little sister.

Vibha (peaking his forehead): God will listen to your prayers.

Saurav grinned.

FLASHBACK

He came back to his senses and saw Ruhi. She prepared Jam bread and forwarded it to Saurav.

He took it but waited till she prepared the other one for herself. Once, she prepared for herself and had her first bite. Then Saurav had his jam bread.

They completed their meal.

Ruhi: Aapko night dress chaye? (You want a night dress?)

Saurav: I will get fresh.

Ruhi nodded. Saurav was about to take the plate.

Ruhi (scolding): Aapko bola na rest Karo. (I told you to take a rest)

Unknowingly, a small smile took place on Saurav's lips. He silently went into the washroom. Ruhi placed everything in place. She went into Harsha and Anirudh's room. She took her night dress and changed her bottom. She removed her top and took a fresh top. Her top got stuck on her face as she forgot to open the buttons.

She was struggling with her top. When Saurav came out of the washroom and saw her struggling. He quickly walked towards her and helped her.

Ruhi went to the washroom to get fresh. Saurav laid on the bed and waited for Ruhi.

In a few minutes, Ruhi came out. She sat beside Saurav.

Ruhi (with sad pout): Head me pain ho raha hai? (Your head is aching?)

Before Saurav could reply, she started to massage his scalp.

Her small and soft fingers were running in his hair. He was silently looking at her.

His mother's words were echoing in his mind.

Saurav's POV: Is she the answer to my and Mamma's prayers?

In no time, he fell into deep slumber. Ruhi saw him. She, too, laid beside him, but after pecking on his forehead.

In a few minutes, Ruhi slept too.
