Ivrette-or, better known as Ivy-was the queen at protecting her peace. She was a straight A student through all of high school and middle school, she had only one friend for most of her childhood, and she spent the majority of her weekends hanging out with her little sister to get ice cream or to go shopping.

Some people might view that as boring, but to her, it was all she had ever known.

Her quiet lifestyle unfortunately came with the expense of lonliness. Sometimes, she caught herself watching the big groups of friends at lunch and wondered if she would ever be able to fit in there. This longing grew into curiosity during sophomore year when she watched Scott McCall-a boy she had been in class with since elementary school-find his soulmate in the newest edition to Beacon Hills. Allison.

She was briefly told that news, and while, yes, Scott was a sweetheart, Ivy never thought he'd be able to obtain someone who became popular within minutes of stepping through the doors.

She began to notice more and more suspicious activity after that. One, Scott made first line. Which wouldn't have been weird at all if he hadn't gotten any playing time in their entire Highschool career. And, she would know, because she was told every detail possible about lacrosse.

After that it was the school shutting down for a few days. Then, it was the repeated amounts of "mountain lion" attacks occurring in town. Then, it was hearing word that Lydia Martin-the queen of Beacon Hills Highschool-was admitted to the hospital.

Ivy wished that was the worst of it, but no. The real cherry on top was the Sheriff pulling her out of class one day to ask her questions about her best friend, Issac Lahey.

And, yet, it wasn't just him who was curious; no, it seemed both of the Stilinski's wanted to hear what she had to say.

She should've known.

Leave it to Stiles to be the one person to finally break her well-earned peace. And, of course-because the universe loved playing cruel jokes on her-also be her soulmate.
