I was walking downtown towards Nick's studio, I didn't inform him that I was coming, but I had a strong conviction that he'd be around. Nick, wasn't a guy that took breaks because of a public holiday.

The thought of going to Parrot flashed in mind, but I canceled it. Parrot wouldn't be open because my uncle and his wife were strict holiday persons and Marj wouldn't be around. It was no fun without Marj, only him would wrongly hear an order for burger as an order for 'Juana.

Myself and mark, another cool guy in Parrot threatened to report him to my uncle, but it was all talk and shout. Marj couldn't be a dealer, he was no different from a kitten, all soft and meows.

I was about taking a turn, when something flashed in the sun, and I recognized it, in a minute. Black and neon headphones. I didn't know what changed my mind, but I suddenly found myself wading through the sea of persons to get to him.

When I reached where I last saw the headphone, he was nowhere to be found. I sighed loudly and relaxed against the cold bricks of a building. I was still berating myself when I heard a sound from behind.

I could trace the sound to, the small space or corner between the two buildings; i was relaxing against one of the two buildings. I peeped from my position against the wall. It was the guy with neon green headphones.

"Hey man". I called, ditching the cold warmth of the bricks.

He looked up, and grimaced. I sat on the other side of a rock, on which he was seated.

"Do I know you?" I noticed how his bushy eyebrows arched in a scattered order. "No offense, but what do you want?".

"None taken". I responded, my gaze landing on the brown timberland he was wearing. "I recognized you as the guy with the old lady with a basket of flowers".

"I am not with her, I don't even know her and you kicked her flowers".

I winced, at the sharpness of his voice. "It wasn't intentional and I assisted in picking them".

"On a second thought, albeit reluctantly".  He sneered.

I frowned, I wanted to ask why he was so accusatory. "You are right, but that was a long time... Man".

"I wonder what you'd call twelve months, if you refer to two months as a long time".

I had no response to that, we sat in silence and he continued his assault on the metal trash can, located a good distance from where we sat.
I noticed his tool for assault; there was numerous pebbles in a blue bag placed on another side of the rock.

I counted three more throws at the trashcan, then I stood up.
"Hey man, it was nice talking with I need to—".

"—Why do you keep calling me your man?".

"For starters, I don't know your name, my name is Huey and that's just how I refer to my guys".

I continued, finally venting my irritation at his tone throughout our conversation. "I don't know what is wrong with you man, but I was going somewhere when I recognized your headphone and decided to say hi, you don't have to be cranky".

My eyes were trained on the blue bag filled with pebbles, and i wasn't expecting an apology from
him.

"But you keep calling me man, and I don't know if this just another weirdly normal  thing about this town".

"Weirdly normal?" I chuckled. "So how do people refer to each other,  where you come from?".

"Alot of names, even man or guy, but it varies with genders".

"I think that's the norm, here in Sepia".

He was fighting a smile when he countered. "Says the guy, who calls me man, when I have boobs".

I didn't want to stare, but the last part had me looking straight at his chest, of which I heard a chuckling for. I felt my face heat up, as I scrutinized him, from his long brown hair, aquamarine eyes, to the roundish shape of his face and his sculpted nose.

He pined a black choker to his neck, and its arms were connected to a silver ballerina at the center. I tried to subtly skip the swell in his chest but failed horribly. Then my gaze landed on the knuckled position his legs were in. I noticed another  important thing he was wearing—a skirt.

My throat was dry after my analysis, and I wasn't thirsty. "Are you a transgender?".

He held my gaze for sometimes before he burst into laughter.

My fingers drummed my thigh, "I am sorry that's just forward, maybe you fancy dressing like a girl".

"Do I sound like a boy?".

"Are you a girl?".

I was having a hard time deciding which one of the two genders he actually was.

"As much as I love this look on your face I have to run along or my mom would have my head for dinner". She or he, I have absolutely no idea, picked up all the pebbles she had thrown at the trash can and returned it inside the blue bag, which she zipped closed. Then she draped the headphone over her neck.

"You are a girl". I confirm.

"Bingo!" She clapped cheerily and hung the bag on her back, I followed her outside the corner.

I still had traces of disbelieve in my mind. "Let me reintroduce myself, I am Huey".

She paused, her head turning to the side to flash a smile. "Let's ignore the blonde hair and the glittering blue gown that I should have, but when I strike its comes with force and ice".

"Your name is ice queen?".

She shook her head, another lazy smile on her face. "You don't stop amazing me, Huey".

"My name is Elsa, and i am a girl" She winked. "For better understand a human female".

Fun fact: When you are in doubt, throw stones  at a nearby trash can.
