The second component in, half of  a galaxy, is the much rated L-word.

The English dictionary defines the L-word as strong affection or care. It is an emotion funded by dedication. It is best described as a need, and the euphoria of thriving on something.

In all honesty, I have no idea as to what it is all about. The only connection or semblance I have to such emotion, would be from my family. I have many people I relate or talk to, some I consider as friends and others as acquaintance, but I can't pick one person in which I had shown or display a certain degree of affection. I couldn't attest to showing Caye that degree of care or attachment. She was my first girlfriend at the ripe age of ten.

The sun is about to set by the time I open my eyes and summon enough courage to leave my bed.

From the calendar that Dad's  insurance company shared early this year, I know that today is the twenty third of March and a Sunday.

I jog downstairs, making sure that I had a fair grip on the shiny woody banister, I couldn't trust my brain again, after one time where, i skipped five steps with the mindset that I had reach the last step in the stairs.

I narrowly escaped breaking a teeth that day, but the same could not be said for my ankle. It took three and a half weeks, to amend my limping posture.

I can't forget Karen's word of comfort. She said, my brain took a longer time waking up than the rest of my body. It is safe to say that I ignored her.

I went straight into the kitchen and got busy making a sandwich, when Hav walked in and asked for one.

"Did you see Anna today?" I questioned, with a teasing smile.

His eyes shone with so much intensity, that it rivalled one of the green light up ball we hung for Christmas. "Nope, she and her mother vanished  immediately the service was concluded".

"More like drove off". I corrected, and used a free hand to ruffle his brown hair. It is always soft and easy to ruffle.

He stepped away, with his small arms folded and lips twisted.

I chuckled, and threw a sandwich at him which he caught in no time. I opened an apple juice and poured it into two cups before exiting the kitchen. I sat down in living room munching my sandwich and only when I drop my cup on the table after a sip, did I notice an amateurish drawing on the table.

Although, my head is three times bigger than its actual size and Hav is ridiculously taller than me, even with his arms around my neck. I immediately recognize the drawing.

It was taken a couple of years ago, on a family vacation at a sandy beach. Mum and dad, were lounging inside and Karen was supposedly tanning herself though it was obvious that she doing it, just to get the attention of the boy sitting close to her.

I was lying on the sand, feet immersed in blue water, and enjoying the bliss of cool air and happy screams from Hav. He jumped out of the water, and made a poor attempt in tickling me.

I turned his plans against him, and began my attack on his open body, then joined in the laughter that erupted from him. We were still coming down from our high, when this stout guy with sandy hair walked to us, wearing blue shorts with a camera dangling from his neck.

Till now, I don't think I have a solid reason as to why he requested to take a few shots of us. I was apprehensive but Hav was yapping about how he needed to show his four years old imaginary abs and alpha male body.

I knelt down on the sand wincing a bit at the harsh tug on my skin, and Hav wrapped his arms around my neck, his green eyes twinkling with delight and bearing a smile wider than his face.

I shook my head, as I dropped Hav's distorted version of the picture back on table. I needed to show him the real picture version of the drawing (that the photographer gave to me) , so I can have a good laugh.

Fun fact : I have up to five benefits of procrastination.
