Prologue

It was all quiet in the hospital, but Matthew Molloy was tense. He didn't know why he had a stroke, and it scared him, but his mother, Terry Molloy, was clearly faking confidence, but deep down she knew something was wrong.

"Mrs. Molloy," Dr. Maynard came in with a clip board and a nurse "I am sorry," he continued "but your son's heart is failing, an anomaly happened during his growth where his heart was refusing to keep up with his growth, and now he has only been using about fifty-seven percent of his heart capacity."

Dr. Maynard sat down in his chair and asked "Matthew, it's a good idea that you don't do anything that could get your heart racing because that will cause risk of a stroke, heart attack, or maybe even complete cardiac arrest. I have listed a couple of medications that you are required to take," Dr. Maynard handed Mrs. Molloy a paper from his clipboard "Matthew," he spoke to Matthew again "We are going to do everything in our power to help fix your heart, but if none of the treatments work, we'll have to get you a knew heart. Do you understand?"

Matthew looked the doctor n the eye, clearly hiding his fear, and he said to Dr. Maynard "I understand clearly, and I am willing to do whatever It takes to get my heart fully pumping."

"That's good" the doctor agreed, "Now before you go, we have a few more things to go over."
