Going to try this to see how it works...

The next year wasn't much to go by. Naruto had no more incidents with fire after he and Hyori moved into Meliodas's house... perhaps he left the stove on and he didn't notice. He looked over curiously at the said boy who sat by him in class. He heard the door open and suddenly turned his head to see his sensei Iruka walk in... then there was Mizuki... he always seemed to be so cheerful around Naruto when he was around, however it seemed there was something else.

"Good morning class" Iruka said grabbing his stack of papers from his desk. "Today is a big day for you all, the genin exams."

Naruto smiled slightly at the thought before he suddenly felt a wave of doubt cross over his features. The boy was defiantly nervous, he was able to do some medical ninjutsu, however that wasn't needed to pass... to become a genin he needed to be able to do the clone jutsu... and he couldn't...

He felt his hands tap on the desk quite jittery. Meliodas saw this and smiled at him in encouragement.
"You can do it Naruto, don't worry." He said in comfort to the boy, said boy relaxed before giving him a slow but still nervous nod.

"We will start in alphabetical order... and since Meliodas doesn't have a Las name..." Iruka waved him to follow making Naruto whimper at him leaving. "Don't worry, Hyori will be here for a bit." Meliodas reassured once more making him grimance at the thought... his last name started with a p, it didn't help much..

After many names getting called out he was finally called making him slowly stand up and shakily walk towards the door he was going to be tested in...

Opening the door he saw Iruka and Mizuki sitting their with a pen and pencil... but something seemed off.
"Alright Naruto, do the clone jutsu."
Naruto slowly nodded before he shakily put his hands up into a sign.
"Just focus and don't put to much chakra into the jutsu". He repeated in his mind from what Meliodas and Hyori told him... "Clone jutsu!"

He slowly opened his eyes, his goggles disorienting him slightly, hoping and praying he finally got it... but to his demise he saw a clone... but it was barely able to function.. "I'm sorry Naruto... you fail." He felt his world come crashing around him before he slowly turned around and grabbed the door handle... gripping it tightly as tears began to pour out of his eyes.

"Now Iruka, can't we just cut him some slack?" Mizuki's voice rang out making him slowly open the door before closing it again...

He walked outside slowly shaking as he felt a small shiver run by him as he felt cold wind blow across him. He looked up to see Meliodas talking to Hyori before he turn and ran... not wanting to look at them... knowing that he failed.

He kept running and running before he finally ran to the top of the Hokage  monument... his eyes becoming irritated by the goggles he grabbed them and threw them off the cliff side in anger. "WHY DON'T I GET ANYTHING RIGHT!?" He shouted before he felt himself cry and sob into his knees and clutching his legs.

"First I'm a demon... now I'm the deadlast who can't even do a E rank jutsu.... the irony." He murmered before looking out toward the close to  setting sun. He heard rustling before he turned to see Mizuki there with a small smile on his face. Naruto remembering he threw his goggles covered his right side.

"S-sorry... I kinda threw my goggles..."
He lightly looked down the cliff and wondered which house he may of hit.
"These?" Mizuki's held up the pair of goggles making him smile slightly.
He lightly tossed them towards the boy making him catch them with a free hand and turn and quickly put them on. "Naruto do you want another chance? To pass?" When he was turned around he heard the question making Naruto go wide eye in surprise before he turned to see the look of seriousness on his sensei's face. "Yes please." He practically begged before the man lightly patted his head. "Good, this is what you need to do.".

Naruto smiled as he read through the scroll he was instructed to steal and learn a jutsu, if he was able to do this he would be able to pass...  "Shadow clone jutsu... this seems easy! Even needs more chakra then the normal one!" He smiled happily before he did a handsign and a puff appeared.. a clone did appear and he was so excited that he kept looking through the scroll... not knowing what havoc was happening right now.

Meliodas looked around with a frown as he looked for Naruto... he couldn't find him anywhere, which made him freak out... he didn't want anything to the blond and he promised himself...
he looked out the window to see blurs fly past the window and heard frantic shouting. "I hope that demon finally gets what he deserves after this! stealing the scroll of sealing!?"
Meliodas's eyes widened in surprise as he jumped out the window and closed his eyes. "Come on... Naruto where are you??" He suddenly felt a pull from a forest not to far away and jumped out the window and hopped from building to building.

Naruto panted slightly exhausted as he layed his head against the tree bark before he heard rustling. Looking up slightly he saw his sensei Iruka. "Iruka-sensei! You won't believe what jutsu's I've learned! I will pass this time!" He got up making Iruka furrow his brows in confusion. "What are you talking about?? You did a terrible crime!" Iruka practically shouted while Naruto tilted his head in confusion.

"What do you mean? Mizuki-Sensei said I needed to do this for a way to pass." He said as if It was the most normal thing in the world. "Mizuki? NARUTO DUCK!" Iruka shouted hearing a spin like swoosh motion in the air before I giant shuriken zoomed passed the boy, narrowly dodging the spinning shuriken.

Naruto breathed slightly out in relief before he heard laughter. "Damn Iruka I almost hit him." He looked up to see Mizuki with a frightning gleam in his eyes, he looked at him in fright before he stuttered. "W-w-what are you doing s-sensei?" Mizuki's grinned before he stepped towards the boy who was backed up against a tree.

"Now now Naruto, don't you wanna know why everyone hates you?" That got his attention. "W-what? You know?" Naruto stuttered making Mizuki smirk and nod. "Of course, everyone knows except the younger generation.." Mizuki suddenly dodged from two kunai that was thrown from Iruka while he jumped down in front of the blond. "Don't you dare tell him!"

Naruto looked up in surprise, betrayal and hurt evident on his face.
"You know as well?! Why didn't you tell me!" Iruka winced at the cry from the blond while Mizuki grinned, now was his chance. "No one could... cause of the third Hokage." That made him tense....

"Gramps?" Naruto murmered before Mizuki stepped back slightly and twirled his second shuriken. "That old fool wanted to keep a secret from you... why everyone hates you." Mizuki pouted in mock before he swung his shuriken around. "What do you know about the kyuubi?" Iruka seemingly pissed off enough threw many shurikens at his betraying comrade. "Enough!" Iruka was so surprised that he heard the voice behind him... before he was knocked down and pinned by the hand with Kunai.

"SENSEI!" Naruto shouted In worry before he glared with hate in his eyes at Mizuki. "As I was saying... what do you know about the Kyuubi?" Naruto growled in annoyance. "He was defeated by the Yondaime Hokage. Killed off with the Hokage as a sacrifice." It was common knowledge... or so he thought.
"Replace a word and it's a whole different story Naruto... the Yondaime couldn't kill the Kyuubi. So he had to seal it... inside a little baby boy." Naruto's eyes widened at the information. "Your soul is the Kyuubi! So I will kill you and be seen as a hero in the eyes of many!"

Iruka practically shouted out incoherent things as Mizuki aimed his shuriken towards the blond and threw it... said blond was in a trance he saw everything slower then what was happening when the truth came out... he looked at his sensei as he didn't hear any words... besides his own voice speaking in his own mind... it's like he became mute and deaf... "Demon... Mabey...I should just die...."

It happened so fast... a blur came in front of him with his arms outstretched in front of him, blood pouring from his hands as he did... before the shuriken hit the figure right on the back... Naruto's eyes snapped open as he finally was able to hear again. "N-Naruto... your not a demon... your my best student... always have, and always will." He coughed up blood before he leaned forward and dropped right in front of Naruto unmoving..

Ba-dump... Ba-dump... Ba-dump....

Naruto heard nothing besides his own heartbeat... he couldn't feel anything... nothing... the Kyuubi inside of him was slightly afraid of what might be happening to the boy... feeling his demonic powers slowly leaking out into his network of Chakra.

Naruto's hand slowly raised to his goggles that was obscuring his vision before yanking them off... shattering the goggles via crushing them. Mizuki finally got to see what was hiding behind those goggles of his... and he was surprised to see the black mark on his forehead... but was even more surprised to see it spike out and it cover most of his face but it did not dare touch the weird orange like eye...

Naruto's head tilted to the side seemingly emotionless besides the tears that were falling from the abnormal eye before his arms were pushed up... and the bandages covering his arms were unfurled into black marks.

"Meliodas you must hurry..." the Kyuubi thought in fear seeing the boy become induced by the black markings.

Mizuki smirked before he put his hands together into a handsign before blowing out a torrent of flames.
"Fire style fire ball jutsu!" His shout echoed in the forest as it hurdled towards the two unmoving ninjas... however Naruto reappeared in front of Iruka with his arms outstretched... his markings formed on his arms like  giant wings but also a shield... it blocked the flames before he looked at the chunin with unemotional eyes before he reappeared behind the white haired male making him quickly turn but be quickly hit into a tree... before it shattered and crashed down to the ground before he hit another tree, his breath completely gone as Naruto was no where to be seen...

He looked left, then right before a shadow below him got him to look up to see Naruto looking down at him with his arm outstretched upwards before smashing him down to the ground.

"You little demon!" He looked up but a hand pressed against his back making him shudder before hearing a unemotional voice come from the once cheerful boy. "What if I am one? I do have demon blood running through my veins..."

Mizuki's eyes widened at that before he quickly jumped away only to be impaled by the arms with black tendrils extended from the blonds arms.

"You must pay for your imputence human." Naruto's voice was so thick with rage before he swung the slightly limp body of Mizuki and smashed him to the ground...

"I'm so dead..." Mizuki thought in fear as he looked up... feeling a overwhelming powersurge come from the boy. his markings spiking with the surge. Naruto walked forward making him stumble back.

"Pl-please! Just give me the scroll and I will leave!" Mizuki pleaded before Naruto suddenly stopped and pulled his arms up and suddenly grabbed the man's throat and brought him up to be looked at in the eye... the boy seemingly floating off the ground.

"Pay with your life" his voice made him shake in fear before he was thrown across the forest with such a force all trees hit was the only thing I coushin his flight through the forest. Trees after trees before he hit a rock...  Mizuki was battered to hell before the boy came out from the darkened part of the trees, his eyes glowing purple and orange..

Mizuki looked up once more in fear, his fear radiating in waves before a tendril once more impaled his stomach making him cough up blood
"Die!".

Suddenly Mizuki put his hands into a quick hand seal before he repeared behind the boy with a kunai out ready to end the boy... "YOU FIRST!" before he was suddenly knocked unconscious from a blow to the neck...

End song.

Naruto slowly turned around to see Meliodas standing their with shock and worry in his eyes before he slowly walked towards him...  Naruto's emotionless state didn't care as he sent a tendril directly at him... but Meliodas took it to his chest making him wince before he slowly kept walking making Naruto's eyes widened slightly in surprise by his boldness.

"Why do you keep walking"
The voice seemingly calmer then before. Meliodas smiled as blood dripped out of his mouth and down his chin. "Cause I made a promise... to never leave." Naruto's eyes widened before the tendrils slowly disappeared, the black markings receded, his purple eye returning to its natural blue...

"Meliodas..." Naruto muttered before he dropped, only to be caught by The boy he called out to. "Shh, it's alright, I'm here now... your safe." He whispered soothingly. He closed his eyes before burying himself into the fellow blonds chest. Said blond picked up the boy bridal style before looking down in disgust at his teacher.

He heard rustling before he saw his other sensei Iruka walking towards the three others before looking down at his once injured hands now healed. "Meliodas... what happened?" Meliodas saw the scars and instantly knew what happened. "Naruto healed you and kinda... went berserk for what Mizuki did.." He said motioning towards Mizuki.

Iruka nodded slowly before noticing the blond unconscious in his arms... but couldn't see his face as it was being covered by Meliodas. "Don't worry he's alive... but I think he did master one of those jutsus." Meliodas said, trying to play dumb.

Iruka slowly nodded before he unwrapped his headband before placing it on Naruto's chest. "Well tell him he passed." Meliodas smiled at Iruka before nodding. "Will do...now to get to the Hokage"...
