author's note: super late chapter after what has been like two weeks, but here it is!! i made it a little longer too :)

Indra was waiting for Lando to come out of the airport on Tuesday. The plane had landed about half an hour ago and people started to walk out of the main building. He took a regular plane, there was no use taking a private plane if he was literally going to be the only one needing it.

After a few more minutes a guy with a blue beanie walked outside. It was still quite a distance from where she was standing, but she recognized him right away. She could see him from miles away and know it was him. Indra saw him looking around like a lost dog so she started waving when he looked somewhat in her direction. He noticed her and a smile grew on his face. They started walking towards each other and when they met Lando wrapped her in a tight embrace. Indra looked at him and then kissed him on the lips. He smiled into the kiss but pulled back softly.
"There's a lot of people around."
"Oh please, this airport is smaller than your backyard."
"That's just a small exaggeration you're making."
"Just a small one." she chuckled. "I don't care who sees, do you?"
"Only if you're okay with it, I am too."

"Good, then that's set and I can kiss you now." she spoke and placed her lips back on his, him kissing her back longer now. They got into the Mini after breaking apart and Indra drove them home. Only a little time was there for them to unpack and for Lando to settle, because they had to go to Indra's parental home two hours after.

Lando had never seen Indra's parents before, and though he knew that they were nice people based on the stories he heard from Indra and Sonne, he felt nervous. What if they didn't like him? He didn't want to come over as too prepared for this meeting, but he also didn't want to seem careless. So he changed into a nice sweater and some jeans and put some gel in an attempt to control his curls.

"You look just fine." Indra mentioned when she passed the bathroom and noticed him fixing himself. She sneaked her arms around him from the back and pressed a soft kiss on his cheek. Lando smiled at his girlfriend and thanked her. He wrapped his arm around her and walked them out of the bathroom.

"Are you ready to leave?" Lando asked Indra, who seemed to look around the space to check if she hadn't forgotten anything important. "Yeah." she mumbled in reply, after which she continued her mumble. "Car keys, deodorant, lip balm, Karte, Blumen, Handy, check." Lando smiled at her mid sentence switch to German. He thought it was adorable how she tried to speak only English when she was around him, but automatically switched to German when she wasn't focusing or when her emotions were strong. He didn't mention it, she was talking to herself now anyways. He patiently waited for her to double check her bag again and she motioned to leave.

It wasn't a long drive to her parents' house so they spent the time talking about the coming days and laughed about how busy they had actually planned it for themselves. When they turned into the driveway Lando tensed up again. Indra noticed, of course, and she squeezed his hand. "They'll love you." He sent her a genuine smile, and hoped it was true.

They got out of the car and walked up to a semidetached house. The front yard was full of all sorts of plants, which would bloom during the springtime so they were bare now, but it still gave a nice addition to the house. Indra took a hold of Lando's hand when she noticed him lingering in the front yard and pulled him along to the front door.

It didn't take a long time for Indra's mother, Hoa, opened the door for them when the bell rang. She embraced her daughter in a long, tight hug. "Oh Schatz, ich habe dich so lange nicht gesehen, wie gehst dir?"

"Ich habe dich auch vermisst, mama. Es läuft, danke." Indra replied, before glances over her shoulder to Lando, who was standing awkwardly in the doorframe. "Mama, this is Lando." she said, switching back to English again. Hoa looked up and gave the young man a quick glance up and down, resulting in Indra nudging her mother in the side. "Mama." she hissed.

A sparkle appeared in the deep brown eyes of Hoa Phan, Indra's were an exact replica of hers. "Lando, I am so happy to finally meet you. Indra said so many thing about you." she spoke, her German accent strong and English a bit broken, but Lando understood her perfectly.
"Only good things, I hope." he replied with a chuckle.

Indra pushed him a bit forward for her mother and her boyfriend to introduce themselves.
"I am Lando Norris, I'm happy to meet you and your husband too. I'm really looking forward to the coming couple of days."

"I'm Hoa Phan. Oh we were so excited to meet you. We were really waiting for Indra to bring you home, but she was gone for most of the days. School, and seeing you." Hoa said, giving him a wink to release any feeling of guilt.

"Yeah sorry," Lando replied, scratching the back of his neck, "Kind of a busy job." he added with a chuckle.

The older woman stepped aside to let the other two in completely. Lando was happy there was such a relaxed atmosphere around the house, it made him feel more at ease in an instant.

Indra's dad was just as friendly as her mother and they talked over lunch, simply getting to know each other and telling about their plans for the upcoming week. All four of them still had to buy some Christmas presents, so they decided to go to the centre of Cologne to do their shopping.

"Come on, I know some nice stores. Some are kind of busy though, but we'll manage if you're okay with it too?"

"Yeah, for sure. If it's getting too much we can always leave. Just let me know when you think it's getting too much."

Indra nodded in reply and intertwined her fingers with Lando's and started taking him through the streets of the German city. Everywhere you looked, you could see the thousands of Christmas lights and other Christmas decorations, it was absolutely beautiful and Lando was starstruck. "This is amazing." he exclaimed in excitement. Indra could see the joy on his face and couldn't contain herself from smiling widely.

"I'll show you everything tomorrow night, when we'll be back here at the Christmas markets, there's four of them."

"Four?!"

"Yeah, yeah, Cologne celebrates it pretty big." she laughed. Every time she told something more about Christmas in Germany, his face lit up like when a child is given candy.

"So what did you call it again? Christmas." He was trying to remember, but the word had been too hard to remember after hearing it three times.

"Weihnachten." A grin appeared when the panic spread across his face.
"I just- can't."

They were goofing around and didn't mind the stares they got when they did something stupid again. The amount of times Indra had almost tripped over uneven tiles was unhealthy. Some people recognized them, some didn't. Some asked for pictures and autographs, others didn't and let them have fun around one another.

For sure the internet was going to be full of pictures of them by tonight, and for sure that both were going to be bombarded with questions from their friends and family.

They ended up in a café in one of the shopping malls to take a breather and warm up a little. The weather was rather chilly that day, and despite being dressed up warm enough, the cold still got through the layers. So a cup of hot chocolate was more than welcome.

"Thank you for showing me the city, it's beautiful." Lando spoke up when they sat down.

"Of course, Lan. This has already been the best week before Christmas since, like, ever. It's all thanks to you. I am thankful to have you around." She took his hand and started rubbing and studying it in silence. Indra was never the one to give compliments or be easy when she got one, so most of the time those moments were followed with a silence. Lando learned over time and he could only appreciate her comment. He knew it was genuine and came right from her heart.

Lando and Indra were spotted by multiple people in Cologne, Germany today as they were shopping. However someone (would like to stay anonymous) was in the same café as them and shot this absolutely adorable picture.

For real, they can keep denying their relationship, but I don't believe that😩🤚🏼 Literally, a simple "hi" in my comments from even one of them to confirm them being together?
