Indra and Lando were walking down the Galata Bridge. They had gone to the Blue Mosque just before sundown and now they were walking under the starry night sky. Indra grabbed Lando's hand to stop him walking any further. They stood in the middle of the bridge and the young Brit noticed her looking up to the sky in awe.

He had to admit, the galaxies were pretty in Istanbul. The sky was clear like it couldn't be back in England and he understood her astonishment and scooted closer to her to admire the stars with her.

Lando played with Indra's fingers, which made her smile. He was the type of person that could never do nothing. He was always moving, even if it was playing with the ring around her finger. She rested her head on his shoulder and thought about how life was good right now.

She was in the city she so much loved but hadn't been in for so long. It was a lovely night and she was with one of the most important people in her life.
It was crazy to think about, found Indra. They only met a couple of months ago on Instagram and they were complete strangers. It honestly went all so fast, looking back on it 'fast' was what Indra didn't want. But she was happy that it went so quick, she couldn't imagine her life without him now.

Indra wasn't one to believe in faith, but somehow meeting Lando made her believe that they were destined to meet and be together.

She blinked a couple of times to come back to reality and out of her thoughts, and she noticed Lando still looking up to the sky. Quite a bit of people had stopped on the bridge to do the same as the young couple and just looked up. It was genuinely beautiful to see so many people share this moment and admire in silence. The world was peaceful for once.

Lando had been so caught up in inspecting the stars that he shook out of his trance when he felt a soft pair of lips on his jaw. He smiled at her and kissed her back on the lips. The stars reflected in her brown eyes and made her eyes glisten even more than everytime she was with him. He held her face in his hands and looked at her.

"What is it?" Indra whispered with a soft smile,  slightly questioning herself by his action. Did she have some food left on her face?

"You are so beautiful." he replied, his voice in a whisper as well, he didn't want to ruin the feeling of peace around them, nor scare her off. The German girl didn't say anything back as she didn't know how to take compliments, but the smile on her face that grew wider spoke louder than words.

For a second Lando considered his chances and whether to stick to the original plan, but this moment was so special, so serene. 'Fuck it.' He thought to himself.

He breathed in deeply and spoke up. "Indra?" A hum as an answer as her head was back on his shoulder.

'You can do it, Lando. You can do it.'

"I have been meaning to ask you something. Something important, but you know I am not always good with words, so I will try my best to be clear and just let me know when you don't understand what I am saying?"

Why was he so nervous right now? Of all feelings, anxiety was not the one he needed at this moment.

Indra seemed to pick up on his shifting emotion and noticed his quick breaths when his shoulder was moving up and down faster than before. She lifted her head and stepped a little aside so she was in front of him now instead of next to him. "Go ahead. Try to calm down and not rush your question, we have all the time. Take another deep breath, it will help."

Her calming words and he took another deep breath as she told him to do. It helped just a little bit, but some of the nerves left his body. And a couple more when he saw her lovely face that radiated calmth and pure love. He really had nothing to worry about, did he?

"I liked you from the first interaction we had, in the dm's. I never really interact with people on Instagram, but doing it with you was the right decision. I am happy we got to meet up after Italy, even after knowing each other for such a short time. I just all felt good, trusted. I have talked about you many times to Carlos, George and Charlotte and they all noticed how happy I was. I also spoke to Sonne that weekend in Germany and she said that she had seen you change for the positive as well. I don't really know when I started realising, but I was sure when you seemed to completely understand my feelings when we were at your apartment. I realised that I loved you, Indra. Yet I have always been too nervous to ask you out or make a move in general, because I have always been scared of judgement. I had a feeling that you liked me too, and when you kissed me for the first time Friday, I was so happy. I want to be with you, Indra, I want you in my life and slowly it's becoming more 'needing you in my life'."

Lando talked at a rapid speed and Indra found it hard to follow what he was saying, yet she got every word he spoke.
"Will you be my girlfriend?"

There was the question she had been waiting for. She had made some of the first moves and felt that Lando was the right person to ask them to be together. She knew that he would ask her one day, it was just uncertain of when he would. And this was absolutely the perfect moment.

It was therefore no surprise that Indra said yes and embraced him tightly. They were happy. So happy.

"And for the record, your words were beautiful. You are good with words, figuring out how to say them is the hard part. But I will always know what you mean." Indra mumbled into his neck, staying put in the hug. Lando smiled and a small tear was escaping his eye. It was a happy tear. He found the right woman for him after many years, and he was not planning on letting her go anytime soon. He kissed the top of her head and they stayed in this position for a little longer.

People started to walk away from the bridge and gathered on a square a little further. Suddenly hundreds of lights lit up the square and Lando spotted the lanterns being aired. Softly, he nudged his girlfriend and made her look in the same direction as him.

Indra made a little happy jump and grabbed his hand and started running towards the square, dragging him along. He laughed at her enthusiasm and ran with her, easily catching up. If only there was a camera crew, you would say that you were in the middle of a movie set. That was the vibe that was set from the very beginning when they stood still on the bridge, and this whole night was going to continue being like that.

A movie in real life.

"Come on, we'll get a lantern as well." Indra said while queueing them in line for a lantern. She spoke Turkish to the woman at the stand when they were next up and Lando was still surprised that she was able to speak the language. He was shocked earlier today when they went out for lunch and she started ordering in Turkish, but hearing her speak in it again, still fascinated him.

They got a lantern and found themselves a nice spot in the crowded area. There were therefore designed spots to keep the distance between everyone, but that wasn't really noticeable as the square was so full.

The couple looked at each other and released the bulb into the air. They were smiling widely and found their way in an embrace again.

This night was like a movie and they both hoped that their fairytale wouldn't be over soon.
