"-happy birthday to you!"

Honestly, it seemed to me that Urie was the only one who didn't seem to care and I'm not even surprised, this kid just wants a promotion. Bad.

"Thanks guys!" Haise gave everyone a really cheeky grin and stared at the cake before him. I knew he couldn't eat it, with the 8 months we've been together he just couldn't hold in his secret on being a half-ghoul. Now for me, I am human, but somehow me and Haise still managed to stay together?

"I wanna cut the cake!" Saiko put down her PSP and was about to grab the knife from the table but Shirazu managed to hold her back.

"Saiko no! Today is Sassan's birthday so we should let him cut the cake!"

Saiko grumbled and jumped out of Shirazu's hold, crossing her arms and walking back to her PSP.

"Shirazu, it's okay." Haise stood up and nudged the seat he was in as a gesture for Saiko to sit down where he once sat. "You can come cut it, Saiko."

Saiko brightened up and ran back to the cake, pushing Shirazu out of the way (not gonna lie I almost laughed out loud for that one) and picked up the knife.

"Ow! Ya didn't have ta push me Saiko!"

Saiko stuck her tongue out and picked up the knife again, trying to find out how to exactly cut the cake.

"Here." Mutsuki moved up beside Saiko and helped her cut the cake piece by peace.

I smiled at everyone around me and let out a happy sigh. If it wasn't for me begging Akira to give Haise and his squad a day off to celebrate his birthday, I'm pretty Haise would be in his office doing work while the others work as well.

"Hello (Y/N)."

I jumped a little when I felt Haise grab my hand and squeeze it in greeting. I smiled at him and shook his hand with a very excited, "It's your birthday Haise!"

Haise chuckled and slipped his fingers through mine. "Uh-huh! I'm finally 24 too! Hey, I wanna go somewhere with you after all this, is that okay?"

On the outside I smiled, but on the inside I am mentally scared for what he wants to do. All those times we went out on a date or on a special day he always ended up making himself suffer by eating human food for my sake.

"It's alright!" I grinned and pulled him toward the table surrounded by everyone, well everyone besides Urie who decided to go to the living room with his headphones on. He intrigues me, I don't know why.

Mutsuki put the knife down along with Saiko after they had finished cutting off some pieces and placed one on a plate. "Alright." Mutsuki gave a smile and held up a plate. "Who wants cake?"

~After the exchanging of cakes~

"Mmm! I love this! Who made it?" Shirazu's leg couldn't stop bouncing up and down under the table from excitement and it hit the table each time it came up so Urie was probably the only one who isn't having it.

"Can you please stop shaking your leg? (It's annoying.)"

"Urie, calm down he isn't hurting you." I gave him a tight smile and the purple-haired guy only lowered his eyelids halfway before looking back down to the cake he was forcibly given in annoyance because only I can actually calm him down.

Mutsuki put his fork down and leaned his elbow on the table so that he can lean on his hand. "I don't understand (Y/N), how come you're the only one who is able to control Urie like that?"

I looked up from my cake with my fork in my mouth to see everyone staring at me (excluding Urie). I pulled out my fork and looked at Haise beside me for a reason, because I honestly have no idea.

"Ah..." When I saw Haise had no clue either, I shrugged. "I don't know, try asking him."

"How does she calm ya down, Kuki?" Shirazu gave Urie a sharp grin and Urie just glared and turned his music up higher, wondering how there's billions of nerves in ones body but one person can manage to get on all of them.

Shirazu sighed and glared at his plate. "Cat lookin' ass and his music, tch."

Saiko spoke up from the floor: "Well, I wouldn't exactly argue Shira-san, you look like a shark."

Shirazu looked at Saiko in disbelief before looking back up to us and asking us if that's true or not through facial expressions, but all I did was shrug while Mutsuki stayed quiet and Haise leaned on his left hand saying, "No, you're fine Shirazu."

I knew he was lying, I caught on to his habit on his left-hand-touching-chin thing when he lies. He's not slick.

"Alright, thanks for making all of this for me guys! I feel honored." Haise gave everyone a big grin and stood up, making you stand up with him by wrapping his arm around your waist and making you get out of your chair. "But I really want to take (Y/N) somewhere before the day ends and maybe when we come back we can all watch or do something to celebrate my birthday a bit more."

I blew my (H/C) hair away from my eyes and stood up more correctly since the stand-up was really abrupt. (IF YOU HAVE SHORT SHORT HAIR OR NONE AT ALL JUST PRETEND YOU DIDN'T BLOW ANYTHING)

"Oh okay," Mutsuki smiled but it turned confusing when he looked at Haise's plate, "but you didn't even finish your cake."

Haise waved him off and said, "That's okay, I wasn't really hungry. But when I come back I'll be sure to eat it, I mean I did make it so..."

Mutsuki smiled and waved goodbye. "Alright. Have fun you two!"

"Bye Sassan."

"Bye-bye Maman!"

Haise waved everyone goodbye and so did I until we left the building and Haise closed the door on my waving.

Haise and I walked hand-in-hand out of the building to who-knows-where, so since I have no idea I decided to ask him.

"Haise, where are we going anyways?" I looked at his face but all I saw his features brighten with a wide smile, his excitement causing him to swing our hands back and forth and he gave me a teasing grin.

"Somewhere I know you'll love!"

I gave him a weird look but didn't want to falter his giddiness so I just asked, "But shouldn't it be me saying that to you since it's your birthday?"

"Exactly! It may be my birthday, but I want to show you that I can still take you to exciting places even on days like these!"

I laughed as we both stopped to let a car pass. "You're so happy today... It's cute."

Haise grew a blush and used his left hand to hide his blaring face. "O-oh...thanks..."

I laughed and urged him to start walking. "C'mon, the cars stopped."

Haise nodded and swung our hands again. My hand was getting a little sweaty but I couldn't care less, I love when me and Haise hold hands, it makes me feel at least loved.

"Don't lose your guard Banana-man, you're the one taking me to the place."

Haise grew flustered over the name I called him. "B-Banana-man?"

"The banana poster in your room is cute, you know that right?"

The multi-colored-haired man felt his cheeks flare up as he stared at the city in front of him. "R-right. I didn't know you'd notice that, heh..."

"Haise, I've been in your room so many times that I've pretty much called it my ours. Besides, that poster basically takes up your entire room."

Haise pouted like a child and said, "I just thought it would be apeeling to whoever came into my room..."

"HAISE NOT THE PUNS!"

"They're back~"

"Haise look at the otters! They're so cute, oh my gosh!"

Apparently Haise took us to the aquarium and when I first found out it even was the aquarium I gave him the biggest hug I have ever given him.

Haise let out a cute laugh and scratched the back of his head as he admired how excited I was. I've never seen her this excited before...well, aside from that one time I bought her (item you've always wanted). If this is how excited she gets around animals, I might as well just get her a dog or...a cat the next time I have a day off.

"Haise Haise! Can you see them? You can see them, right?" I laughed and almost died at how cute these creatures were.

My boyfriend laughed and stood beside me. "Yes I can...would you like one for our anniversary?"

I gasped and stared at him with wide eyes. "You can do that?!"

Haise grinned with a laugh and wrapped an arm around my waist, rubbing his cheek against mine. "Maybe I can try! For you~"

I laughed and squeezed his waist. "I don't want you trying so hard for me; I really want a cat though, they're so cute!"

PERFECT! Haise chuckled and pecked my cheek before grabbing me by the hand and walking me off to another area, intertwining our fingers so he doesn't lose me in the crowd.

"Y'know, right about now I wish someone is in here needing some love advice."

I questioningly looked at Haise. "What? Why?"

Haise shrugged and stopped in front of the jellyfish tank. "Well...this would be the perfect opportunity to whip out a pun."

I sagged my shoulders and sighed. "Oh no...is it-"

"There are plenty of other fish in the sea/ There are plenty of other fish in the sea."

I giggled and Haise laughed as he kissed the back of my hand. "Yes, yes I know." I grinned.

"So," I ruffled Haise's fluffy hair, "where to now, Pun Master?"

Haise grinned like a little kid. "The great white shark tank!"

Haise knows I'm afraid of sharks, like, big time. But he comforted me and reassured me that the big glass tank will not be broken by the big shark that has just past by and we will all be okay and I will not die.

But eventually I couldn't really handle my anxieties so we just decided to go get food, but for me only though because Haise is not capable of eating human food, but there was coffee so that was the only thing Haise bought for himself.

"Haise...how come...like, I don't know but...okay, come here. I'm gonna whisper it to you." I scooted over a little with the chair and made room for Haise to move beside me, which he had done.

"What is it, (Nickname)?"

I moved closer to his ear and whispered, "How come only you can drink coffee? Like...isn't there anything else?"

Haise moved away and gave me a little smile. "There's water. And..." Haise moved to my ear and whispered, "there's you." He gave my ear a little kiss and moved away with that kid smile he always has.

I blushed hard and flicked him on the forehead to prevent him from laughing out loud. "Idiot. Don't go saying things like that to me in public! Especially so...sensually..."

Haise gave me another wide grin of the day and gulped his coffee down in one go before grabbing my food and throwing it away as I protested and asked why he threw it away when I wasn't even close to done, but he said he'd make me something later.

On the way back back to Haise and his squads home, my feet started to hurt when we had barely left the aquarium so Haise thought it was best to wait for a bus. But little ol' me got bored.

"Haise?" I leaned my head on his should and groaned in boredom. "Haaiiisssssseee!"

The man beside me let a tired smile grow on his face as he closed his eyes and rested his head on mine. "Yes darling?"

"I'm, like, really bored right now." I groaned and let my hand plop down on Haise's thigh.

Haise laughed a sigh and snuggled his nose in my hair. "I know. But we just left...the...uh...w-what're you doing?"

I hummed a response and just slid my hand further until it was resting over Haise's crotch area, but I wasn't really doing anything besides leaving it there.

"(Y-Y/N) not here! Not now of all times!" Haise let out strangled whispers in your ear, but they weren't strangled until you actually palmed his crotch once.

I lazily grinned and patted his thigh before moving away and noisily stretching. "Well-" I cracked my back and sighed in bliss after slumping against Banana-man over here- "you had left me feeling things back there at the aquarium when you whispered that one line to me. It would only be fair if I got payback."

Haise crossed his leg over the other and sat up straight as he stared at the almost-empty street before him. His hands scratched at his thighs and that was when I knew he had felt it.

I giggled and said, "Feeling things too huh? Perfect."

"(Y/N) I'm not done with you okay? I'm gonna do things to you on the bus and I'll be laughing when you ask to go to your place to finish."

I laughed and crossed my arms, grinning teasingly at my boyfriend. "I'd love to see you try."

Birthday boy managed to make me break. He's just lucky that there was no one in the bus besides us and the driver considering the sun had set when the driver came by.

Lucky for me, I managed to get him to actually take me to my place.

The thing is, I had some balloons in there so I'm kinda glad we even came to my house.

One balloon popped, I could see Haise trying to hold in a pun. He couldn't do it.

"Guess you could say, this birthday was such a blast!"

"Haise that pun wasn't even good."

"Shush." Haise dropped me onto my couch and straddled my waist. "Haise is going to be filling you with all kinds of puns tonight while Haise makes love to (Nickname)."

This idiot started talking in third person the entire time we made out, but I gotta admit it was really adorable. If we did all this on his birthday today, how will it be on mine? Dammit. I hate waiting now.

After the diddle daddling, me and Haise ended up sleeping on the couch with a blanket he had went and gotten when I demanded for one in the cold room of my house.

Today was such a weird day.

I know, I missed April 2nd but I haven't slept yet it's 4 AM so technically it's still April 2nd to me.

I procrastinate too much, I started this trash at 3 or 4 PM and the final thing ended up being so short omg.

Hope this was at least enjoyable to read. Sorry if there were any mistakes I'm like, half asleep. And this is my first time ever writing for Tokyo Ghoul even though I love this anime and its manga so much. It's also my 3rd time writing an X Reader so sorry if it's not as good as others.
