                                                                             Third POV

Hailey was with her family at a local bakery near her house, enjoying a sweet her parents had already bought for her a moment ago. It was a pretty lazy day in the bakery today, but it was fine for the energetic red-head, she preferred the place being a bit quieter than usual. She smiled to herself as she finished her sweet, perking her head up at the sound of the bell attached to the store's door letting out its crystal clear chime. Two figures walked into the store, a very tall wolf, and a smaller demon who looked about Hailey's age. Hailey smiled and jumped down from her seat, walking over to the demon and tapping him on the shoulder. The demon spun around to face Hailey, a genuine curiosity in his eyes.

"Hiya! I'm Hailey, what's your name?" She asked, bouncing up and down on her feet. She was an energetic little girl, and often had too much energy to just stand still. The demon smiled sweetly at her, his crimson eyes shining.

"I'm Bendy! Nice to meetcha miss Hailey!" He answered politely, his tail swishing in content. Hailey quickly stuffed her hands in her pockets to keep herself from touching it before looking up at the bigger wolf.

"Is he your big brother?" She asked. Bendy nodded, adjusting the backpack he was carrying to be more comfortable.

"Yep! He's my older brother Boris!" He answered, smiling bigger. Hailey smiled back at Bendy, finding his adorable smile extremely contagious.

 "This your first time here?" Hailey asked, walking with Bendy as the two brothers walked up to the front counter.

"Yeah! Anything you would recommend miss Hailey?" Bendy asked, his eyes lighting up at the amount of sweets in the display case. Hailey smirked and tossed her hair over her shoulder. She likes to consider herself an expert of this place, so of course she knew exactly what was good and what was more for adults who wanted something as bitter as they are.

"Yep! Get the Brutal Brownies, they're amazing! They're brownies with caramel and whipped cream, it's the best thing in this place!" Hailey recommended, pointing to the sweet she was gushing over. Bendy's eyes lit up at the sight of the sweets and Hailey swore she could see literal stars in his eyes as he stared at it. A few minutes passed and the two brothers ordered their sweets, Bendy and Hailey still maintaining their conversation.

"Long story short, that's why we don't mini golf anymore," Hailey shrugged as she finished her story. Bendy nodded to show he was listening, but you wouldn't have been able to tell otherwise given how is attention was seemingly completely centered on the delicious treat that Hailey recommended.

"Alright Bends, it's time to go, finish up," Boris announced, messing with Bendy's hair and walking outside the shop to wait for him. Bendy's eyes dulled a shade in sadness before pulling Hailey into a hug, startling the young girl.

"Promise we'll see each other again, okay?" He asked, pulling away and holding out his hand, pinky extended, for a pinky promise. Hailey smiled sweetly and interlocked his pinky with her's.

"Duh, of course we'll see each other again!" She agreed with a silly smile. Bendy blushes lightly and smiled brightly, waving goodbye to Hailey as he walked out the front door to catch up with his brother.

It was an encounter of chance, but it was certainly a moment the two would remember.
