Tale of Two Heroes - Movie
Warm fluffy lovely fanart drawn by thejunestone (deviantART) / junetoonearts (instagram)
This movie's timeline takes place between chapters 11 (Attack of the Exams) and 12 (Test Your Courage).
I will also address the whole Endeavor redemption arc going on in the manga as some readers have expressed their concern in private to me.
Everyone has regrets. It's what you do afterwards that counts. Have faith in your decision, it'll be okay.

On the last day of the semester, Momo asked the girls to meet her in the nearby park. The sun was already setting and everyone was in high spirits. We gathered around near the swings, talking about what we went over in the class.
"So what did you want to talk to us about, Momo-chan?" I asked her after the conversation died down.
Momo smiled cheerfully. She explained, "Are you all familiar with the I-Expo on I-Island? My father holds shares of I-Expo's sponsor's stock and I received a couple of extra tickets."
The girls gasped excitedly.
On I-Island the I-Expo was held once a year. It was a worldwide event to showcase the advancement of Quirk technology. It was sponsored by big name-brand companies that would personally invite high profile Heroes, and then sell the tickets at crazy rates—easily over 52,000円 or $5,000.
Never in all my life did I expect I would get a single chance to go, let alone two.
"I'm sorry," I sincerely apologized. "I'm already going with Sho-chan."
"Ehh? Not fair, I want a boyfriend with connections," Mina whined.
"Todoroki-kun got a ticket?" Ochaco asked me.
"He's going to represent his father, and—" I wasn't sure how to phrase the next part. "—as a reward for his, um, interest in training with his father, Endeavor procured another ticket for me."
"So it's a weekend-long date!" Mina chirped, eliciting a blush from me.
"I hope we can still meet at the island?" Momo asked.
"Of course," I reassured her. "I'm—I'm not familiar with the places there, so maybe we should just text each other when we get there and pick out something we see?"
"That'd be easiest," Momo agreed, bobbing her head up and down. "Um, but how else can we decide who gets the other two tickets?"
"Rock-paper-scissors?" Tsuyu suggested.
The girls nodded firmly amongst one another and did one round of winner takes all.
Ochaco and Kyōka were the victors and they let out a triumphant cry of joy.

A week later Shōto and I had taken a family jet to I-Island—which oh goodness gracious I was so scared to spill anything inside that thing—and by the time we arrived it was pretty late. It was too dark to properly see the island—although the lights were very pretty—and we had to shuffle through immigration before being taken to a mind-bogglingly fancy-shmancy hotel. It was as tall as Tokyo Tower!
I felt completely out of my element while Shōto effortlessly checked us in and guided me to our room. Which was near the top floor.
'Oh jeepers.'
"Whoa," I breathed out when we entered our hotel suite. I felt faint, as I looked at the sheer majesty of it. Luxury did not seem to do it justice. The tile floors looked like they were lined with gold, for goodness' sake. Shōto placed a warm hand on my lower back to steady me. "This—oh my—oh my—This carpet probably costs more than the whole farm!"
Shōto patted my back. "Is this okay?"
"Okay?" I wheezed. "This is—this is amazing, Sho-chan! I can't believe your father paid this much for us."
Shōto only shrugged, withdrawing his hand to pick up our bags. "Do you want to share the main bed?"
"Heck yeah I do," I exclaimed, rushing into the suite and quickly taking pictures of it with my phone. "This deserves its own photo album."
Shōto chuckled as he placed our bags on the California King-sized bed.
I squealed when I saw it, hurrying over and grabbing the two little candies on the pillows. "Sho-chan, look, look! Chocolate mints. They placed chocolate mints on the pillows! How fancy."
Shōto smiled in amusement at me. "So chocolate mints make a hotel fancy?"
"Super high class," I agreed with a nod and grin. I glanced around until I spotted the bathroom. "This bathroom is bigger than my room! Scratch that. That bathtub is bigger than my room."
"Let's look at their room service menu," Shōto said, picking up a red-leather bound book that was on nightstand. "We should get dinner before we take our baths and head to bed."
As Shōto took a seat on the edge of the bed, I hopped down beside him, gaping at the list of meals.
"I can't aff—"
"I'll be buying," Shōto quickly cut me off. "Please don't look at the price tag, Kiyo-chan."
"But Sho-chan—"
"Kiyo-chan," Shōto firmly but gently interrupted me again. He placed a hand on my knee and offered me that sweet warm smile that made my stomach flip-flop. "It's okay. This weekend is my treat for you."
I felt my face grow hot and I had to quickly look away and cough. "U-Um... okay... um... I don't really recognize any of the foods on there. W-Would you please pick something out for me?"
"Okay," he agreed.
He looked over the menu a few more minutes before deciding. He called the front desk and thirty minutes later we were seated in the adjoining dining room in our suit with a spread of seafood that looked straight out of a celebrity magazine. The butter poached lobster was especially mouth-watering after a long flight. We chatted in between bites, devouring the meal as best we could.
'If Shōto's paying that much I won't let there be a single crumb left over!'
Not that it was hard to force myself to keep eating. The meal was exquisite, beyond anything I could ever prepare that was for sure.
When it was finished we each took a bath. I got dressed in a super comfy nightdress with shorts and fuzzy pink socks, while Shōto changed into some cozy blue and gray flannels. We hopped into bed, and I inwardly cried tears of joy at how unbelievably comfortable it was.
We were able to get a wonderfully restful night of sleep.

In the morning after breakfast we headed out to explore the exhibition. Shōto grabbed my hand. He told me he didn't want me to get lost in the crowd. I almost corrected him by pointing out the island didn't have any Magi Dust to prevent me from teleporting so I could always find him.
But I liked holding his hand, so I only smiled and went along with it.
'Sorry for the lie by omission!'
The island wasn't yet opened to the public, but there were still crowds of people along with famous heroes. I even saw Godzilla! Although I didn't get a chance to ask him for his autograph since I was swooning and fangirling. Godzilla was one of the coolest heroes I knew, I simply didn't have the courage to ask him. Shōto offered to get the autograph for me but by then it was too late and Godzilla was preoccupied with other things.
Shōto and I toured around the park, walking aimlessly until our stomachs growled. Shōto offered to grab some food for us at one of the food stalls while I hunted down a free bench or table to eat at.
My eyes wandered around the park. Most places to sit were already taken. To my surprise, I spotted a vaguely familiar face. It took me several seconds of staring before it clicked in my head who he was.
The deputy headmaster for that Magi school. He must have sensed me staring at him because the tall old man turned around and noticed me. I offered him a shy smile and wave, embarrassed to have been caught staring. It was hard to tell with his long white beard, but the corners of his eyes crinkled so I thought he smiled back at me. He made his way through the crowd, offering me a handshake when he reached me.
"Miss Kiyomi?" he asked in English.
"Ah, yes. I'm happy you remembered," I responded back in English. English was one of the odd languages I easily picked up. The others were Latin and Korean. "It's good to see you again, Deputy Headmaster Gernaldo."
"Headmaster now," Gernaldo softly corrected. "Are you enjoying the exhibition?"
"I am," I admitted. "Although I'm surprised by the lack of Magi Dust. Anyone with the teleportation ability could just pop right in."
Gernaldo's eyebrows shot up. "Pardon me? I suppose if they had already been here once, yes they could."
I blinked at how he phrased that. "Um... no, I mean just anyone."
"I should certainly think not. Magi Quirk users cannot teleport anywhere unless they have already been there," Gernaldo answered with a frown. "Miss Kiyomi, are you saying that you can?"
My face turned red as I started to panic. "U-Um—I—I thought it was in the pamphlet you gave me when I was younger."
Gernaldo's frown deepened. "That must be a translation mistake."
"Ah—Ah, yes, I was under the wrong impression. Please forgive me."
"It's quite all right, Miss."
"U-Um—I see my friend over there. I'll talk you to later, Headmaster Gernaldo."
"Have a pleasant day, Miss Kiyomi."
With hurried steps, I rushed over to Shōto who had finished getting our food.
'I haven't—I haven't been here before, right? Or...'
I chewed on the inside of my cheek.
'Do I... have different abilities than the standard Magi Quirk?'
In the back of my head, I heard a young woman hum a soft song.
(And the story goes on and on—)

We couldn't find a place to sit down while we ate, so we had to stand off to the side. Being under the warm sun and walking around all day made us pretty thirsty though so we grabbed some smoothies next.
An explosion drew our attention after we purchased the smoothies. We wandered over to a large exhibition built like a dark brown rocky miniature mountain. As we neared we could see it had a coliseum wrapped around it. At the bottom of the coliseum, where the base of the mountain rested, I spotted Katsuki.
Shōto had been offered more tickets as the winner of the U.A. Sports Festival, but since he was already going with me he told them to pass them off to the second place winner: Katsuki.
Katsuki let out a feral cry of, "DIE!" as he began to furiously hop from one robot on the mountain to the next. Within seconds, he had destroyed all the enemy robots on the mountain.
The bubbly announcer declared, "We have a new first place record—only fifteen seconds!"
Katsuki was smug up until he looked across the coliseum and spotted Izuku, Momo, Ochaco, Kyōka, and a beautiful blonde I didn't recognize. I couldn't hear his next words as he blasted up to meet them.
Shōto and I finished our drinks while we watched from a distance. Then Izuku hopped down into the arena with a nervous smile and talked to the announcer. By the time I gulped down the last bit of my Delightful Mango Madness it was Izuku's turn to try and destroy the robots.
He did it in sixteen seconds.
"Izu-chan and Bocchan are very impressive," I said as Izuku jumped back up to the stands to greet his friends.
Shōto did not respond. He tossed his cup in the nearby trash can then jumped down to speak to the announcer.
"Eh—Sho-chan—?"
He proceeded to complete the course in fourteen seconds, taking first place away from Katsuki.
"HALF-AND-HALF BASTARD!" Katsuki shrieked as he flew down to face him. "Appearing suddenly trying to make everyone think you're amazing, you bastard?!"
"Not everyone," Shōto calmly responded.
Katsuki growled, "What are you even doing here?!"
"I'm here to represent my father, who was invited," Shōto explained.
That did not calm Katsuki down at all. Suddenly blasting out of nowhere, Tenya ordered everyone to calm Katsuki down before he embarrassed U.A. further.
'Oh boy.'

Shōto and I kept to ourselves for the remainder of the day. We wandered about each exhibition, marveling at the technology. I was particularly impressed by the water manipulation exhibit. We talked about a wide range of things, the conversation coming easy between us. It was such a lovely day, and Shōto's hand was comfortably warm.
At five o'clock Shōto took me to a restaurant that looked way too fancy to be wearing a hero's uniform in but thankfully there were other high profile heroes inside wearing their costumes.
I wouldn't have thought it possible but the food at that restaurant was even better than the hotel food.
"I feel like I've died and gone to heaven," I confided to him as we headed back to the hotel. We had to change into our formal wear for the reception dinner.
Shōto offered one his rare big smiles. "Good."
"This is all so terribly amazing. I don't see how this weekend could get any better."
Shōto opened his mouth to say something, then abruptly shut it and glanced away. I frowned at the reaction.
"Sho-chan?" I probed.
"There's... something I want to talk to you about," Shōto quietly admitted to me as he continued to look away from me. I couldn't see his face, but his somber tone concerned me.
"Okay. Whenever you're ready," I assured him.
He squeezed my hand. "Thank you."
Shōto graciously donated the main bathroom to me so I could get ready. My dress was a pale pink pouf dress. It had a matching bow wrapped around my waist that tied on my front left side. The bodice was sleeveless and had a transparent overtop with embroidered flowers. I had a white petticoat underneath it to keep the puff in the dress, and a pair of white strappy heels.
Not exactly something I'd enjoy running in, but we were going to dinner, not the battlefield.
It took me a solid half hour to calm down the frizz in my curls after being out in the heat all day. I braided my bangs to the back of head and tied in a dark red ribbon. I added on a light touch of makeup to cover up the bags under my eyes.
I stepped out of the bathroom with confidence, giving Shōto a warm smile. He blinked a couple of times when he saw me.
"You look—you look nice," he told me.
My heart skipped a beat as I looked him up and down in his white suit with a grey-blue undershirt and a red and black tie.
"You look very handsome," I honestly told him. I lightened my tone to teasing as I added, "I'll have to fight all the girls off you."
"That won't be necessary," he said, offering his arm.
"I don't know," I said, accepting his arm. "You're pretty adorable."
"You don't need to worry," he insisted.
"Sho-chan, believe me. Any girl will think you're cute," I said with a small shake of his head.
"It doesn't matter," Shōto stubbornly said. "You don't need to be concerned about it."
"Mm-hmm," I placated him.
'He really should believe me when I tell him he's cute. I refuse to believe I'd be the only girl there who thinks he's hot.'
I didn't continue the argument though because Shōto was being pretty bull-headed about it.
'He'll realize I'm right when they all come up and start asking to dance with him.'
I nodded to myself, content on giving him the I-told-you-so look after the first girl asked him to dance.
It wasn't a long walk from the hotel to the building where the reception dinner was being held. Tenya had texted us earlier that everyone from our class was going to meet in the lobby room of the building. Shōto and I arrived a minute before our set time. Tenya was already there, along with Denki and Mineta.
Mineta whistled. "Kiyo-chan, you're looking extra on fire today!"
Denki offered me a thumbs up and a wink. "I'm actually jealous of Todoroki-kun!"
I giggled at their teasing. "Hello everyone."
"Did you two have any issues finding the place?" Tenya asked.
Shōto shook his head. We moved off to the side to wait for the rest of our classmates. Izuku was the next to arrive in a dark brown pinstriped suit. Barely a second behind him one of the elevators opened up to reveal Ochaco in an adorably girlish pink off the shoulder dress with a pearl necklace and white flower bow in her hair. She rubbed the back of her head sheepishly. "Sorry I'm late."
As she stepped off the elevator the second elevator opened up to reveal Momo in a long spring green dress with a gold necklace. Kyōka was hiding behind her in a punk style pink, purple, and black short dress.
Momo apologized, "Sorry but Kyōka-chan..."
"I'm not really used to wearing clothes like this," Kyōka murmured as the two stepped off the elevator.
"It's the clothes that really make the man, huh?" Denki chuckled as he held up a thumbs up for her.
"She looks like a female assassin," Mineta muttered.
Jirō didn't take too kindly to their remarks. She used her earphone jacks to shock them both, causing them to yelp from the pain.
"Shut up," she said lowly.
"What? I complimented you!"
"No you didn't."
"To be honest I'm not really used to wearing this kind of stuff either," Ochaco nervously laughed as she approached Izuku. "I ended up borrowing this from Yaoyorozu-san."
"Y-You look really nice," Izuku shyly complimented, eliciting a goofy grin from Ochaco.
"Ehhh. You don't have to flatter me so much, Deku-kun," Ochaco waved her hand dismissively, but her dopey smile told me she rather liked it when Izuku complimented her.
The first elevator dinged again and a girl with curly blonde hair stepped off. She had a flowy blue dress with a black sash tied around her waist that had a lovely white flower on it. I recognized her as the girl who was with the group previously while Shōto and I roamed around the park on our own. Tenya had mentioned her name was Melissa.
"So this is where you all are! The party's already started," Melissa greeted us joyfully.
"The headliner appeared!" cried out Mineta as comical tears of joy poured out of his eyes.
"Crap, Mineta, I can't take this anymore. What should I do?" asked a deliriously happy Denki as he stared at Melissa.
"Do whatever you want," Kyōka sighed.
Before anyone of us could make another movement an alarm rang out. A synthetic voice spoke through the speakers. "This is an announcement by the I-Island security system. We have received a report from the security system that an explosive device was placed in the I-Expo area. I-Island will one be in high alert mode. Residents and tourists should return to their homes or lodgings. Those that have come a long way should go and wait at the nearest evacuation center. Anyone still outside ten minutes from now may be arrested without warning—"
As the voice continued to drone on, metal shielding descended from the windows and doors of the lobby room, locking us in.
"—In addition, most of the main buildings will be sealed off by the security system. I repeat—"
The message replayed itself one more time. Shōto and the others pulled out their phones. He commented, "I have no signal. It looks like all reports are being blocked."
"I don't feel any Magi Dust so I could probably teleport still," I hesitantly added.
'But not everyone here can come with me.'
It went unsaid, but it was understood by my classmates.
Kyōka added, "The elevator isn't responding, either."
"I can't believe the security system would switch to high alert mode," Melissa murmured, placing a thoughtful finger on her chin, "just because they found something explosive."
"Īida-kun, let's go to where the party is being held," said Izuku firmly.
"Why?"
"Because All Might is at the party."
The students sighed in relief, but for some reason, I found no comfort with All Might's presence. Rather, I became increasingly uneasy. I nervously grasped Shōto's hand, giving it a squeeze to comfort myself.
Izuku asked, "Melissa-san, can you get us to the party somehow?"
"If we use the emergency stairs I think we can get close to the party," Melissa said as she gestured to a door on the far side of the lobby.
"Please lead the way," Izuku said.
Shōto squeezed my hand back.
◟(◕◡◕❀)
My unease proved unfortunately accurate. The party had been taken over. Every hero present was wrapped in electric blue security tape and there were gunmen holding everyone hostage. Izuku and Kyōka snuck onto the balcony of the room. Izuku subtly grabbed All Might's attention so Kyōka could use her Quirk to listen quietly to what he had to say.
The island had been taken over by a group of villains. They had control of the security system and consequently, every citizen on the island was a hostage. All Might advised us to flee.
Once Izuku had relayed that information to us, Tenya was quick to say, "We should heed our teacher's advice and leave."
"I agree. We cannot fight against villains without our hero licenses," said Momo.
"What if Kiyo-chan teleports back to Japan and tells the other heroes?" Denki suggested.
"I can do that," I agreed, "but I can't bring a lot back with me and it'd take hours for them to reach us. Not to mention it would likely use up a lot of my wand's energy just to make the trip. There's no guarantee I could come back. It's not often I teleport across countries, after all."
Shōto glanced at me. "We are trying to become heroes."
"Yes, but we are still not allowed to work as heroes—"
"Does that mean it's all right for us to not do anything?" Shōto softly retorted
Momo didn't have a response to that.
"No," I answered on her behalf. "These are extenuating circumstances. We are not only acting in defense of ourselves—but of our classmates, our teacher, and civilians. License or not, can we really call ourselves heroes if we sit and do nothing when we're needed?"
An uncomfortable look flickered over some of their faces.
"I want to save them," Izuku quietly said, his voice strong. "We need a way we can save All Might and the others without fighting the villains."
"Is there such a way?" anxiously asked Denki.
Izuku sharply rebuked him, "Even if it's hard, we should try. I want to look for the best way possible and then go save everyone."
"I-Island's security system is on the top floor of this tower," said Melissa. "If the villains have taken control of the system then the authentication locks and passwords should have been disabled. We should be able to restart the system. We just need to get away from the eyes of the villains and get to the top floor. Then, maybe we can save everyone."
"How hard is it to enter the top floor from the outside?" I asked her.
"If it's in lock down, there wouldn't be any windows to break in. You'd have to destroy the walls which have been heavily reinforced," Melissa answered me.
'Okay, no carrying everyone up to the top then. Hmm. Actually, coming in from the outside would definitely alert the villains as we'd first have to break out then break back in when we reached the top. There's no way we could everyone out of the building without tripping an alarm.'
Jirō stepped closer to Melissa. "What do you mean by get away from the eyes of the villain?"
"Currently, none of have actually been harmed. I think the villains aren't used to working with the security system," explained Melissa.
"We can do that," Denki exclaimed brightly.
Momo was unconvinced. "But the villains are at the top of the tower..."
"We won't need to fight them," Izuku excitedly cut in. "We only need to reset the security system and then All Might and the hostages will be released. When that happens, the tables will be turned in an instant."
The idea came to life. At Izuku's encouraging words everyone was inspired. We agreed to move as a team and reach the top of the tower to reset the security system.
We took off, starting our painful climb up the steps. We had to reach floor level 200.
'I regret these heels so much.'
I could run in my combat heels fine and dandy. Those were made for hero work.
I could not run in strappy thin heels.
It was with a grimace I ended up taking them off at floor 40 and deciding to go barefoot the rest of the way. The bottom of my feet was calloused enough from farm work that it wouldn't be the end of the world if I had to run through glass.
In fact, I could probably use my Quirk to wrap around my feet if I needed to.
'Now that's an idea. Save it for later.'
I wasn't the only one, Melissa discarded her heels at floor 50.
At floor 80 we reached a locked door.
Out of breath, Shōto asked, "Do we—break it?"
"We—can't. If we—do that—then the security—system will react—and the villains—will notice us," panted Melissa.
"Then—can't we—just—go this way?" Mineta asked as he opened the door to the 80th floor as we all hissed at him not to do that.
The damage was done. All we could do now was press forward and hope the villains didn't notice Mineta triggering the alarm by opening the door. We sprinted through the door, Melissa telling us that there should be another emergency staircase on the opposite side of the floor.
We were not that lucky.
Barely halfway down the hall and the shutters in front and behind us began to close. Shōto responded quickly, shooting out a wave of ice to keep the nearest shutter in front of us from closing. Tenya took that opportunity to use his Quirk to burst ahead and knock down a side door that opened up into a massive arboretum. As we ran through, Melissa explained it was a plant factory.
Jirō jumped ahead of us, calling out, "Wait! Look up ahead, that elevator's coming up."
"Let's hide and let them pass," Izuku decided and we ran into the bushes.
The elevator dinged and out stepped two men in black vests. I hid in between Izuku and Shōto as we listened to them approach. I could sense the anxiety from my other students. They were genuinely worried about getting caught fighting villains but at the end of the day, I had faith in Nezu judging us fairly. I highly doubted we would get expelled from U.A. Probably have to do honorary remedial classes or some other type of punishment but given the circumstances?
'I'd be more likely to get punished since I could teleport to Japan to get help. It's my own judgment call to stay.'
"I found you, you damn kids!" snarled one of the villains.
"Huh? What did you say, you bastard?" growled back Katsuki to everyone's surprise. He and Eijirō hadn't met up with us at the lobby, after all.
"What are you two doing here?" asked the second villain.
"That's what I want to know—"
Eijirō nervously interrupted Katsuki, "Leave this to me, okay? Um, we got lost. Where should we go for the reception?"
The first villain snapped, "We can see through your lies!"
In an instant, he launched some kind of sound or air wave straight to Eijirō. Eijirō didn't have time to react, but Shōto did. He conjured a massive wall of ice between Eijirō and the villains. He stepped out of the bushes, loosening his tie in the process. I moved to stand beside him.
Already the ice began to shake as the villains started to destroy it. Shōto leaned down and pressed his palm flat on the ground. "We'll stall for here, Kiyo-chan can take us back up."
He conjured ice underneath the main group and Eijirō, lifting all of them up to the second platform to make their escape.
"What's going on here?" Katsuki demanded.
"Didn't you hear the broadcast?" I asked him. "Villains have taken over the tower. As long as they control the security system every civilian here is their hostage. We need to reset the security system."
I didn't have time to say much else because the two villains had broken through Shōto's ice.
The shorter of the two villains was purple in the face from his fury, "You damn kids!"
He roared at us, his Quirk activating and making him several times larger. He looked more like a purple mutant ape than man. He roared again, charging at us. Shōto threw a wall of ice at him that he rapidly punched through. I had to leap back to dodge his onslaught.
'Very fast despite his size,' I thought.
Katsuki had jumped behind him and slammed an explosion right at his back. The smoke made it difficult to see how well the ape-man took it, but his cry of pain told me he was still vulnerable to fire attacks at least. Katsuki barely had a second to catch his breath after he landed because the ape-man ran right at him.
I conjured a powerful shield between Katsuki and the ape-man. The villain slammed his fist hard against my bubble. The force was enough to push my bubble into the ground and feel like the entire arboretum tremble.
"Dodge!" shouted Shōto at me and I immediately jumped back just in time to avoid another condensed air attack from the other villain. Shōto retaliated on my behalf with a barrage of ice attacks, each one shattered by an air attack.
The three of us were forced to group together as the two villains stood on opposite sides of us.
The air-Quirk villain drawled out, "You aren't normal kids, are you?"
"What are you?" grumbled the ape-man.
"Like we'd tell you, damn villains," snapped Katsuki.
"You're not worth telling our names to," said Shōto coldly.
The two villains were a hassle to deal with. Katsuki and I tagged team on the ape-man. We had to prolong the fight long enough for Katsuki to work up enough of a sweat to deal a massive explosion. Once he was out of commission we turned on the flighty air-Quirk villain. I managed to get close enough to slice down his shoulder blade, disconnecting the tendons so he couldn't keep firing his attacks. It was enough for Katsuki to knock him out, then Shōto to freeze him.
We didn't have time to rejoice, though. The security system robots were coming up to our floor and we had to stop them from advancing past us. It was a nonstop horde of robots.
A test of endurance. I ended up having to switch to using my Quirk to cover my feet so I could at least kick at them without needing stitches, which meant I could only conjure one weapon. I wasn't sure how long we were destroying the robots. There must have been hundreds of them. Enough to litter the entire arboretum with their bodies, at least.
Out of breath, I grabbed at Katsuki and Shōto and teleported all three of us to Izuku.
I barely had a moment's notice to process the fact that one: we were in the air, and two: we were outside the tower over two hundred floors above ground. I immediately stretched out a flat disc for us to land on, creating sides to protect us from the wind. Ochaco must have been using her Quirk on Izuku and Melissa—Melissa was piggybacking Izuku mid-air. Ochaco noticed us and canceled her Quirk so Izuku and Melissa also stood on my platform.
"We need to get into that!" Izuku blurted out, pointing to a far end. "We'll have to bust down the wall."
"Say no more," Katsuki said as I willed the disc to rush toward it. As soon as we neared it Katsuki blew the wall down. I landed the disc inside the tower where Izuku and Melissa hopped off. I looked back down at the balcony below us, noticing the surge of robots that was rapidly nearing Ochaco who didn't have an ideal way to defend herself.
"I'm going back to Ochaco," I said—
"I'll go with you," Shōto added, "Bakugō-kun, stay with—"
"I know," Katsuki snapped. "Let's go, Deku!"
Shōto and I returned to the balcony to begin our second round with the robots. I was more tired than before, and Shōto had to switch to using his fire intermediately with his ice powers to prevent himself from getting hyperthermia. One robot destroyed turned to twelve then twenty then fifty then—
They all shut off.
I was out of breath, bent over my knees and panting. Ochaco was quivering from exhaustion beside me, and Shōto wiped the sweat off his brow. I didn't have my power left in my Quirk.
"Did they—do it?" I struggled to even my breathing.
"Oh I—really hope—that's the—end," Ochaco gasped for air.
"If you—jinxed it—I'm going—to—tickle you—"
She totally jinxed it. We had maybe a minute to catch our breath and then the entire top tower exploded. Bright blue light stretched down to the balcony and bits and pieces of the tower started to fly off and create some odd monster made of wires, debris, and metal tentacles.
"Sorry," Ochaco apologized to me as she stared at it.
"Expect the tickles," I sniffed.
"I will," she said sadly.
"If Mineta says—anything about the—tentacles—"
"I'll knock him out," Ochaco promised as we stared at the weird construction.
"Let's go," Shōto grunted, and off the three of us went. We were able to meet up with the others—Momo, Kyōka, Tenya, Eijirō, Denki, and Mineta—and the next ten minutes were a blur of adrenaline, exhaustion, and metal tentacles that kept regeneration no matter how many times Katsuki blew them up.
I couldn't see much of the details of the fight since I was focusing more on shielding my classmates when they couldn't dodge attacks, and then physically carrying them away when that failed due to the lack of energy I had left in my wand. It was a chaotic dance of high energy, glorious and maddening all at once.
Then the monstrosity was slain, the villain defeated, and we stood victorious over the rubble.
I had been seven o'clock when the tower was shut down, and now the sun was starting to rise. I wobbled over to Shōto, wincing at how some pebbles dug into my feet.
"I think," I told him as I stared at the lightening sky, "I'm going to need an energy drink if we're going to explore the exhibitions today."
He looked over at me. His eyes went up and down as he assessed my torn dress and disheveled hair. His own suit was ripped apart so his chest was bare to world. Actually, I became aware of how battered we all were: ripped shirts; torn dresses; discarded shoes; none of us were spared.
'I really liked this dress, too.'
Shōto assessed his own state and mumbled, "Sorry I don't have a jacket to give you."
"It's fine," I laughed, then yawned. "Okay, make that two energy drinks."
"There should be a café opening up soon. We can get changed then go there," Shōto suggested. His gaze lingered on my feet. I had to admit they probably weren't a pretty sight. I wasn't able to keep my Quirk up constantly to protect them while fighting so I had a fair few cuts on them.
Shōto turned around and bent over. "Let's go."
"Ah. You sure you have enough energy?"
"You don't have enough to teleport and you shouldn't be walking on those feet," said Shōto. "Come on."
With a smile and shrug, I hopped on his back. "Thanks."
"Always."
"And always?"
"Always and always."
I hugged his neck, my smile softening. Then a thought occurred to me. "Sho-chan, didn't you have something to tell me?"
Shōto faltered in his footsteps, but continued on. "Later, Kiyo-chan."

Regarding Endeavor's redemption arc: I understand some people find Endeavor unforgivable. I sympathize with your discomfort on Endeavor even having the right to a redemption arc, but I ultimately do not agree. My own father was an abusive man. He committed suicide while I was in high school. I never got a chance to see him get better, and I certainly never found closure.
If I had the choice between a father who wanted to fix himself and our relationship, or a dead one, I would choose the first without hesitation. So I am going to warn my fellow abuse survivors: I will support Endeavor's redemption arc in the manga in my story. If that's a deal breaker, I understand.
Minor note why I don't add - for Bocchan. Because Bocchan is said in one breath, and Izu-chan and Sho-chan have a slight pause for the -.
Answer: Short term goal would be to finish the stories I've started. I'm proud of what I have completed to this day.
Question: If you were a creature who lived in a holiday (like Nightmare Before Christmas) what would be your holiday?
