Lifting your chin, the light raindrops fell upon your cold face.

'How cliché.'

You loved the rain. It cleared the air, the sound brought a familiar comfort and it allowed you to wear warm sweaters. However, right now, it felt so much more colder and duller than usual.

|| I like the dimples on the corners of the smile that you wear ||

His smile was practically burned into your mind. You loved it. It was always so bright. Maybe even too bright, to the point where it blinded you from the truth.

|| You wore them more with her, I knew and I was scared ||

You weren't that dense to not notice the growing distance between you and Oikawa. It terrified you, but he always came to you at the end of the day causing you to turn a blind eye.

|| I let myself fall deeper but I was prepared ||

You're friends warned you, you knew he had such a large fan base and you knew he had a reputation of commitment issues. You knew, but you wanted to believe, even if it depended on the tiniest spark of hope, that he would love you.

|| I liked your shirt, the one I gave you, can't forget how you smell ||

"Tooru!" He greeted you with open arms and wrapped them around you tightly. He always had the habit of nuzzling his face into the crook of your neck after showering you with kisses on the crown of your head.

"You look cute as always my (F/n)-chan!"

"You're too much sometimes Tooru," you suppressed the growing smile on your face.

|| But now on different shoulders hang the jacket I used to wear ||

You winced when you saw Oikawa hang his jacket over another's shoulders. The same jacket he always used to let you wear.

"You'll catch a cold (F/n)-chan," he sighed lightly, wrapping you in his jacket.

"You're wearing a t-shirt aren't you? I'll be fine."

"Nah, it looks better on you anyways."

"Tooru, wait! You need a coat!"

"Forget that, come here!" He pulled you outside into the pouring rain and lifted you into the air, "just have fun!"

"I'm going to need a hot shower after this," you sighed.

"Hey (F/n), let's dance for a bit."

"Tooru, we need to talk."

|| I hate the way you let us go like it was all just nothing ||

"What is it?"

"Is there something going on? Nothing feels the same anymore.."

"Our relationship doesn't feel the same anymore. It's like... we're losing it," staring at your feet, the silence was killing you.

"We're fine, why wouldn't we be?"

You felt the hesitation in his voice, "Do you love me?"

How did such a simple question cause him to freeze on the spot? He loves you doesn't he? He loves you. He loves you, but maybe that was in the past. He loved you more than anything, just not anymore, "I..."

"It's not me anymore is it?" Tears welled up in your eyes.

"(F/n), I'm so sorry," Oikawa tried to reach out for you but pulled away quickly. He still wanted to hold you in his arms, tell you that everything was going to be okay and that he loved you. However, he knew that it would just be out of pity rather than affection. 

"Was it me?"

"No, no, no of course not..! We just... Weren't  meant to last long.."

|| Always and forever can wait for the time because
You were not the one, I know that now ||

"Will I ever be able to fall in love again, Oikawa? When will the right one come?" You laughed bitterly.

"You will, in time you will. You're amazing (L/n), if anything it's my lost..."

"No it isn't, because I still love you, you jerk."

As soon as you got home you fell onto your carpet and released all your anger, confusion and sadness. You we're a sobbing mess. If only he could've been the one for you. God... you still loved this man.

After taking a hot shower and a bath you we're finally able to calm yourself down. Of course you still love Oikawa, but you had to accept the fact that he didn't love you anymore. It was hard, but you will find the love you we're born to find eventually.
