The lamp post illuminated softly onto your face. You remained stoic still processing the event that had happened not too long ago.

"(F/n) I–"

You shook your head and shifted away from him, avoiding his gaze, "give me a minute, please..."

He stared at your smaller figure softly. He wanted you to slap him across the face. He wanted you to yell at him. He wanted you to be angry with him.

But you weren't.

He did something that he would never wanted to do to you.

He broke you.

"I didn't want you to find out this way," his voice grew desperate. You knew that all he wanted was for you to be in his arms again.

"Then, tell me how, how would you've you wanted me to find out?" you questioned calmly turning towards him.

His heart dropped when he locked eyes with yours. The eyes he's loved so dearly. Now filled with pain and tears. His knees fell weak. He didn't want to see you walk away from him. He wouldn't know how to bear it. He remained silent unable to answer your question.

"You didn't want me to right? If it wasn't this way, then it would probably be never. Tell me Tetsurou, when you kissed her, did it feel the same?" You wailed trying to wipe away the tears that fell from your face.

"N-no! (F/n)! No, no, no, I don't love her! I love you, I love you more than anyone else in this world. But I couldn't get myself to let go of her, I tried, I tried so hard!" He sobbed trying to reach for you.

"How long?"

He stared at your face surprised by the question. He hasn't even realized how long he's been cheating on you. He hated himself. He hated everything about himself. He had something so special but he fucked up. He always fucked up.

"Kuroo, how long?"

His breath shook from fear and guilt but he's lied to you enough, "...three years."

Your breath hitched as you let out a small laugh, "So throughout the five years we've been together, I wasn't enough for you for those last three years."

"You were!"

"I won't lie, every second I've got to spent with you, were the best seconds of my life. It was like a dream. I've never felt so much love with you. Now, I've never felt so much pain in my life knowing that everything was a lie," you stared at the night sky holding the back of you hand over your mouth, "I love you so much Tetsurou."

"(F/n) no... Please, I'm so sorry. I love you so please don't leave me like this. I can't go on without you," He fell so his knees and sobbed loudly.

"It hurts so much, it hurts, will it ever go away? want it to all to go away. It hurts so much I could die," You held your chest as you cried uncontrollably, "I wish you would've just treated me badly during the last five years. So if I were to find out, it wouldn't have to hurt so much."

"No, don't say that (F/n)," He held your hand tightly placing it onto his forehead, "I don't want it to end. I don't want us to end."

"Then why, why did you end it?"

"I'm sorry, I've hurt you. I've lied to you for so long, but I swear, I love you. I'm so sorry," He stood up and tried his best to force a smile but it was utterly impossible. He didn't want to admit it, but he had to let you go.

"It's okay," you exhaled, "I forgive you. I will always forgive you. However, you must understand that it isn't going to be good for any of us if we continue."

"I know, I know, it's just... difficult," he held his tears back.

You walked towards him and smiled sadly.

"(F/n)–"

Wrapping your arms around his waist you nuzzled your face into his chest. A few seconds later he didn't hesitate to wrap his arms tightly around your small figure and dig his face into the side of your neck. You could feel hot tears begin to soak your sweater. Only moments later the both of you were crying in each other's arms.

"Is there any way I can get you back..?" He stated softly after releasing you.

"I don't know, but right now we need a break," you reassured while fixing the bag on your shoulder, "goodbye Kuroo, I love you."
