There is a guy who never smiles in your life. He sits beside you at your class and guess what? You like him, but not that kind of like, you're just interested in him. You want to make him smile, you want to see how is his face when he smiles.

"Hi, morning!" you greet him. He looks up at you and then going back to sleep.
"Sleepy? You didn't get enough sleep?" you're trying to make him talk to you but as usual, he never replies you.

"Urghh! I hate talking to someone like I am talking to myself!" you groan dissatisfied.
"Then don't talk to me" you're frozen and slowly spin your head to him.
"Did you...just saying something?" he rolled his eyes before going back to sleep.

You're smiling happily before bring your seat to his place.
"Since you just talked to me, can you show me your smile?" he looks at you and sighed.
"Can you stop being annoying?" he mads at you but you're more interested in another thing.
"Wow, I just made you talk 10 words! Can you say something again? Don't you know, you have a wonderful voice? It's sad if you keep it" you look straight to his eyes, makes him looks away.

"Okay, guys, back to your seat" then Mr Yukimura coming to your class and you're going back to your seat with a smile on your face.

I will make him smile! I can do it!

~ Historical class ~

"Everyone, open up your textbook!" you're searching for your textbook but you can't find it.
"(y/n), where is your textbook?" you smile forcibly to your teacher.
"I am sorry, I am afraid I didn't bring it..." he sighed.
"Share with someone," he said before going back to the front.

"(y/n), want to share with me?" the guy in front of you ask.
"Thanks, but I will share with him. It's easier" you smile and goes to place beside you.
"Don't mad at me. The teacher told me to share with someone" you grin to him and he sighed.

"Smile, can you? You don't have to be grumpy all day" you're whispering to him.
"Shut up and stop being annoying" you sigh.
"Okay okay. I am zipping my mouth" you're gesturing your finger at your mouth like zipping it.

"Sorry for being an annoying person to you. I just want you to smile, that's all" then you bring your chair to the guy in front you and share the textbook with him. You left him like that and since that time, you don't talk anything with him again like he never exists.

Little giant pov

Since that day, she never speaks a word to me. She acts like I am not beside her. Don't get me wrong, I am glad she isn't annoying as hell anymore, but I think I miss a bit of her smile, her forceful way to make me smile and talk to her...

I sighed. Did she really mad at me? I just said she was annoying, that's all! Right now, I saw her laughing with whatever-name-he-is in front of her which is he's clearly has a feeling for her and she's too dumb to know about that.

Am I anger her that much, that she didn't want to talk with me? I stare at her and bring my head to my table.

"This sucks" I muttered and close my eyes before standing up from my seat and went out from my class and bring my foot to the gym.

As soon I enter the gym, I saw a volleyball's ball left the gym. I take the ball to toss it and slamming it to the floor. I am doing it over and over again until I heard a voice echoing the gym.

"What are you doing here?! Do you know how hard I have to search for you this whole time?! You're going out of the class all of sudden and disappear like that for a long time, I worried that you fainted or something!! Don't you know that?!" I am standing speechless staring at (y/n)'s shouting mad speech.

"Don't you hear what I just said?!" she walks to me after a few seconds I am standing frozen here.
"I heard you. You don't have to shout like I can't hear you" I sighed before continue slamming the ball but not before she snatches it from me.

"Why are you acting like this? You're not the one I know before! Where is my little giant?" I glare at her.
"Little giant? Since when I am your little giant? You know nothing about me, not even a single thing!" then I walk away from her and left her there alone.

I don't know why I become this jerk, but what I know is I am mad at her and I make her sad...

"Is it because I am ignoring you?" I stop from my track and turn my head to her.
"What?"
"Is it because I am-" I cut her off.
"I heard that already. I want to know what do you mean!" then she walks towards me.

"Well, you start to be a bit weird since the day I am ignoring you" I rolled my eyes.
"Well then, you're misunderstood that. I am not like this because of you" I am lying to her.
"You're lying. You run your eyes from looking straight to mine" Dang, she knows my lie!

I sighed before walking to her and stop right in front of her.
"See me after school, at the back of this gym. I will tell you why then" I whisper to her ears and walks away from her before shouting.
"You search for me because we're late, right? Are you sure you still want to stand there for a whole day?" she startled and running towards me.
"I know it! Don't tell me!" she continues running leaving me behind.

"Isn't she coming to get me?" I chuckled before realising it.

(y/n), you already succeed to make me smile...

Reader pov

"See me after school, at the back of this gym. I will tell you why then" he whispers to your ears and walks away from you before shouting.
"You search for me because we're late, right? Are you sure you still want to stand there for a whole day?" that really makes you come to reality and running towards him.
"I know it! Don't tell me!" you continue running leaving him behind.

"Wow, what was that? Is that really him?"  your heart sure do a little overtime work today.

~ after school ~

"He wants to meet me? Why after school? Why here? Why he be like this?  He just wanna tell me why so why he had to meet me here?" you mumble a 'why' question on the way to the gym.

When you arrived, you saw the volleyball team are practising and your eyes searching for him.

'There he is!' you smile when you saw him.
He is practising spiking the ball while someone blocking him. That 'thump' voice from the ball giving your worries away from you.
He sure can spike it even though he is short and the blocker way too tall for him.

"That is my little giant!" you clap and...you took all the attention.
"Sorry," you grin before turning your body to start running but not before someone hold your hands.

"(y/n), thanks for coming. Can you wait for a minute, I want to get the coach permission" you nod before you know it.

"Let's go there" he comes back and take your hands to the back of the gym.

"I am sorry," he says as soon as you arrived there.
"What?" I confused by his apologised.

Why he's apologising?

"I am sorry for being a jerk today. I know I shouldn't mad at you but you really pissed me off. It's true that you make me like this" you gasped.
"Seriously? So, it's true, because I am ignoring you?" he nodded.

"You make me think like, 'why did she mad at me just because I am saying she's annoying?' and you act like I do not exist besides you" you still can't believe what you heard today.
"I forgive you and I am sorry too, but I really didn't know this test really worked out"

"What test?" he glares at you. Oh My God! Did I just slip it out?!
"Err..."
"(y/n)...You were doing things I think you did, right?" you look around but his eyes.
"What did you think?"
"You're testing me!" you grin at him and he's giving you a sigh.

"You're lucky that I like you" his statement makes your eyes widen.
"Y-You like me?"
"What if I am?" you smile happily before hugging him.
"I like you too!!" he stops a few seconds before hugging you back.

Then after the hugging scene, you get a beautiful, the best ever thing you ever get. He is smiling!!! I don't know that God ever made this beautiful creature. He is strikingly handsome with that smile and at the same time cute.

"You are not allowed to smile or laughing or anything related to it behind me. You just can do it in front of me, got it?!"
"Why?"
"Just don't!" you look away knowing you're blushing right now.
"That makes me want to do it" he smirks. He knows how to smirk?!

"Don't you dare!!" he laughs and makes you fall for him even more.
