"Did you see Asahi?" since you didn't see him everywhere today, you walked to his class and asked his classmate.

"He didn't come, today. I think he's sick because he's drenched in rain, yesterday" one of his classmates answered you.

What? Sick? And I don't know about it? Why didn't he tell me anything? That guy!!!

"Thank you" when you're about to leave his class, someone called you out.

"(y/n), can you pass this note to him? You're going to his house after school, right?" you nodded.

"Alright, I will give this to him" you took the note and walked to your class.

~ after school ~

After school, you immediately walked to his house. You can't believe this childhood friend of yours would get caught of fever just because of the rain.

"Hello! Excuse me for disturbing you ( Ojamashimasu! )" you said when you entering his house.

"Ah, (y/n). Come in. Asahi is in his room, laying on his bed. Can you ask him to eat something? He's so stubborn, saying he can't eat anything" his mum told you about Asahi that makes you chuckled.

"Yes, madam. Don't worry, with all my might, I will force him to eat everything!" You saluted teasingly to her.
"That's my girl. Now, go up there. I will bring the food to the room" she ruffled your hair and walked to the kitchen.

Now, let's see how bad he is...

You knocked his door before walked in there. You sighed when you saw him sleeping on his bed.

"Asahi... Asahi...Wake up. You should eat something" you woke him up even though you didn't want to interrupt his sleep.

"(y/n)?" his sleepy voice came out, makes you laughed.

"Yes, it's me. Now, wake up! Your mum will bring some food for you" he shook his head.

"No, I can't eat anything. My throat hurt when something comes in" you sighed.
"You should eat something or you can't get any better" after that, his mum came in with a tray of porridge. She winked at you before she left and you nodded.

"Eat, alright?" you looked at him.

"Please~ I want to see you playing the volleyball" you took his hand and he sighed.

"Okay, okay. I will eat. Don't make that face!" you smiled when he agreed to you. You took a small bowl of porridge and ready to feed him the soup.
"Wha-What are you doing?" his eyes widen.

"Feeding you the soup, of course. What do you think I am going to do with this soup?"
"I-I will eat it myself" he wanted to take the bowl from you but you keep the bowl away from him.
"You're sick, so just let me feed you, okay? It's not hard, just say ahh~ and the food will be into your mouth" in the end, he surrendered and allowed himself to be fed by you.

"I put your class note at your table. They asked me to give you" he nodded.

After fed him and giving him, his medicine, he's drawn to sleep again. You smiled when you saw his sleeping face. You put his comforter on him and sighed.

"When will you get my feelings? Asahi, I love you..." you said to him when you knew he's really sleeping. Then you put everything on the tray to bring it down. When you want to stand up, you hear him mumbled something and because you can't hear him well, you narrow your ear to his mouth.

"I love you,(y/n)...Don't leave me..." your eyes widen. You look at him but his eyes are closed.

Did he mumbled it or am I hearing something?

"(y/n)! Even though you like him, you can't be like this! How can you think that he said 'I love you,(y/n)' to you!" you shook your head and brought the tray to the kitchen.

"(y/n), thank you for coming. You're being such a helper. He's only listening to you at this time. How about you stay here for this night? I will tell your family. It's already dark out there. You don't have school tomorrow, right?" his mum asked.

"Sure! I will. Thank you for having me this night" you bowed to her.
"Don't worry, I already think of you as one of my kids. Anyway, do you love Asahi?" your eyes widen.

"Eh?! I-I-" her questions make you stammered.
"He loves you, you know, so, treat him better, okay?" she then took my hands and held it preciously. Then I left alone at the kitchen speechless.

So, is it true what I heard in his room? What he said in his sleep, was that his true feelings? About me?

You smiled happily while walked to his room. He's still sleeping when you entered his room so, you sit at the side of the bed while holding his hands.

"Hope you will getting better be healthy soon" you put your heads down and because of that, you're driving to sleep...

Asahi pov

I feel much better when I woke up. I think it thanks to (y/n) who forced me to eat and take the medicine. I want to move my hand but then I felt someone held it. I brought my eyes to it and saw (y/n)'s the one who held my hand. She's now asleep peacefully and... cute.

Then I brought my other hand to touch her hair. I locked her hair behind her ear and it makes me smile. She moved a little and I thought she's awake but it turns out not. I let out a relieved sigh.

"Don't you know I've loved you since we're kids? I know you always think about me as your friend but I want more than that. Can you be my girlfriend instead of a friend?" I asked her but I know she can't hear that and actually, I am afraid to ask her directly because I know it will affect our friendship.
"Why did you ask me when I am sleeping? You should ask me directly"
"I know, right? But I am afraid you will hate me later" I answered the question.

"Why should I hate you? I will be the happiest girl if you confess to me"

"Really? But I-" my eyes widen. I turn my head to (y/n) and I saw she's smiling.

"(y/n)!! You awake?!" she nodded.

"Thanks for that confession. I am happy, I can hear that directly from you" she smiled.
"Ahh, it's so embarrassing!" I think my body temperature has risen up more than the fever I get.

"Why? I think it's cute. I love you too, you know" she diverted her eyes.
"What? Come again?" I smiled.

"Shut up, Asahi. You're sick, right?! Just lay down back" she pushes my body and I hold it back.
"No. Why should I?"

"Since when did you become this annoying? Wait, are you really Asahi or did you short a few fuses due to your fever?" she put her hand on my forehead, I chuckled.
"(y/n), thank you for taking care of me. I am sorry for giving you trouble" she shook her heads.

"No, you're not giving me any trouble. We always take care of each other, right? Anyway, your mother asked me to stay here, so I will sleep in your room, okay?" then she lied beside me.
"Hey, we just confessed our feelings!" I become panic and my heartbeat did an overtime work today. Tch, this was all her fault.

"So?" she asked.
"I can't sure that nothing will happen to you, tonight if you being like this"I am warning her.
"I trust you, Asahi" she smiled.

"Don't trust me!! I am a guy!! You can't do-" she stops me with a kiss on my cheek.
"It's already night. Just sleep, okay. You're just getting better from the cold" she said.

"You're not fair! I already warned you, okay!" I told her.
"Okay, okay. Just go back to sleep, Asahi" I sighed

You really are something, (y/n). I can't imagine you're being like this to other guys. I am glad you're mine now.

"Good night. (oyasumi )" I kissed her forehead and smiled.
