Rain. It was raining. "Dammit!" Wakatoshi cursed as he watched the pouring down rain from inside the gym. Everyone had left and it was late, he had stayed back to practice after all; can't be the most powerful ace for nothing.

The rain didn't seem like it would stop anytime soon so Wakatoshi decided he'd just walk, even if he suffered from a slight cold. "Excuse me..." A shy voice called out to him from underneath a shelter a couple of metres away. You waved him over and he sprinted over to you, soon towering over you with a scowl on his face which frightened you since you were quite small against him.

"Ushijima-senpai, here." You handed the olive haired boy a white umbrella, smiling at him warmly as he simply stated down at you. "You need it more than I do!"

This random act of kindness was foreign to Ushijima. "Arigatō, but what about you?" He asked, his deep voice frightening you. He was so tall!

"I have a raincoat and my mother is picking up soon, please! I insist!" You told your senpai and shoving it into his chest before sprinting off as the honks of a car was heard.

Ushijima stared at your retreating figure before beginning to walk home with the umbrella above him, sheltering him from the cold droplets falling. The ace thought about you, he recognised you in the corridors going to class. You had beautiful (e/c) eyes that seemed to light up when ever you gave someone a kind smile, you had (h/l) (h/c) hair that seemed to always annoy you as you always twisted the stray strands behind your ears when concentrating. These were things Wakatoshi noticed...the closet pervert.

"Hmm." He hummed to himself, you made him warm and fuzzy and he barely knew your name but you were someone that would always make someone happy. It was decided, Ushijima Wakatoshi was going to get close to you!

The Next Day

"(b/f/n)!" You slapped your best friends arm as they winked cheekily at you. "I just gave him my umbrella because it was pouring down!" Your best friend just smirked. Wakatoshi took it as the perfect moment to talk to you, what a bonehead!

"Excuse me..." He asked, you and your friend look up at his towering figure, sweat dropping. "I'll take my leave, see you in class, (f/n)." (b/f/n) said as they quickly ran off. Leaving you alone. With the ace...

"I never caught your name, here's your umbrella." Wakatoshi said in his monotone voice, handing you the umbrella. You instantly blushed. "U-Urm, no problem, senpai! I am (l/n)(f/n), second year." You told him, a pink hue soon dusted his cheeks.

"Well, (l/n)-san, to award you for your kindness, will you accompany me somewhere?" You giggled at his formality, was he asking you out? Tragically, yes.

"You can relax, Ushijima-kun! Sure I'll come with you!" You said, smiling up at him as he gave his own small smile. "Great!"

"Ooh! Get in there, captain!" Tendō cat called, making the both of you blush as Wakatoshi went to chase after the meddling middle blocker. How cute!
