“I kept the ball in the air; it's not your place to give up!” – Nishinoya Yu

Let see, I believe this phrase are said in Episode 9 on the anime series of the manga where Nishinoya had a fight with his best buddy or everyone (Viewers/Fans) knows him as the libero’s partner, Asahi who was a wing spiker for the Karasuno Team before he resign due to their heavy loss in a tournament.

We all know Nishinoya is a great libero who also has a great personality. It is prove in his first scene where he is someone who strives to win until the end. He will not stop until the whistle is blown and thus it made him a great libero who earns several awards from doing very well in being a libero.

Anyways, before I stray off from the point. The reason WHY, Nishinoya said that, because Asahi gave up before the game ends which pisses him off to a frustrated point. Being a libero means, the sky is not his place to be in. He belongs to the ground. Asahi who has the advantage in the sky, gave up when Nishinoya didn’t stop receiving and blocking the opponents attack. Seeing this has made him frustrated.

So, in a real life example, if you were someone who has been supporting the main cast from the shadows or the backstage, to reach the top and that ace/main cast of yours gave up half way all because he/she couldn’t see the path to the top. Would it make you frustrated?

Like you busted your butt pushing him/her to the top and all of a sudden, they gave up. LIKE WHAT IN THE WORLD? All of your hard work gone to dust the moment the main cast gave up.  

I have been in this situation many times, I know everyone has, but did you know that the moment you gave up, the opinions on you from others view would change immediately. NEVER GIVE UP until the whistle/game/or whatever is blown/over. PEOPLE did not bust their butts working to reach the top just for the sake of you to give up half way!

Thus, that is how our libero, Nishinoya Yu felt. The sky is not his, he could only dream to be up there but all he can do is to watch. So, before you give up, THINK before you do so because it is not your place to give up because IT WILL AFFECT OTHERS JUST BY YOUR STUPID DECISION!

Never end something you started with you giving up.
