{Tanaka, Ryuunosuke, a member of the Karasuno High Volleyball team, one of their wing spikers. Tanaka might come off as loud and hot-headed but he's a total lovable idiot on and off the court.}
{When Manami first met him, she wasn't intimidated by him in the slightest, in fact she was overly excited by him. Just his personality seems to make her day. It didn't take long for the duo to become close friends after a lot of Manami scaring the living daylights out of him multiple times.}
{Tanaka at first was, lowkey, a bit intimidated by Manami, she was popular, had a lot of money, and just appeared...out of nowhere...all the time. But it didn't take too long for the two to warm up and become pretty close friends, the two get into trouble with Daichi a lot when together, it's even worse when Nishinoya is in the frey. }

{Yamaguchi, Tadashi, a first year student at Karasuno High, and a member of the Volleyball Team, serving as a middle blocker and pinch server. He's incredibly shy and is mostly seen with Tsukishima Kei teasing others, but he's naturally a kind soul.}
{Yamaguchi was one of the first people Manami spoke to at school seeing how they were in the same college prep classes. The two get along fairly well and often talk when Tsukishima isn't around.}
{Yamaguchi is not very used to being around someone with a lot of friends, so the two barely hang out, and when they do their conversations normally end short. But they still call each other friends }

{Azumane Asahi, a third year student at Karasuno High, and a member of the Volleyball team, serving as their Ace. He is the walking definition of Gentle giant, easily overwhelmed and very skittish. But very kind, even if he doesn't particularly look the part. }
{Most people, especially first years, would say that the third year is very hard to approach, he's tall, intimidating and very scary. But Manami didn't see this, she just saw him as a big teddy bear, she often went out of her way to speak with the third year and would try to get other people to warm up to him as well.}
{Manami was a breath of fresh air for Asahi, he just figured that everyone was going to be scared of him and he would be fine with that, but Manami made it known that she just saw him as a teddy bear, it didn't take long for the two to get along after that.}

{Yachi, Hitoka, a first year student at Karasuno High, and one of the managers of the males Volleyball team. Yachi is an overly anxious yet lovable girl who reads way too much into first impressions.}
{Manami seemed to cling to Hitoka immediately, after all, she was shy, skittish, and often looked down on herself. Why wouldn't Manami cling to her and try to bring the best out in her? She absolutely loves the girl and adores how hard she tries, she was quick to deem her as a friend}
{Yachi is very grateful for Manami's encouraging words and her mother loves Manami, so why not be friends with her. The two hang out and talk often, Manami ends up meeting the rest of the team through Yachi.}

{Tsukishima Kei, a first year student at Karasuno High, and a member of the Volleyball team, playing as the teams middle blocker. A snarky yet incredibly smart individual who is way more mature than his actual age }
{Manami tried being nice to him at first, she tried giving him so many chances but Tsukishima cut that quickly. She is still very nice to him, but doesn't expect it back at this point. He's one of the few people who's actually made her cry before.}
{Tsukishima thinks she's trying too hard, and needs to get her head out of the clouds. Not everyone is going to be your friend. He also can't tell if she's faking her kindness or she genuinely means it, it's pretty hard to read Manami.}

{Manami and Shoyo met briefly right before their first year of high school. Hinata remembered it vividly, Manami only remembering his face. He had gotten a hot chocolate for him and Natsu and poor Manami, who didn't seem to get a wink of sleep, ended up dropping their drinks. Manami ended up making two more, in the house. Hinata, afterwards, went out of his way to help her clean up the mess. The two didn't see each other again until they were promoting the clubs they had joined to the rest of the school. Manami went out of her way to find him and speak to him.}

✰⋮ "Nana~ can you say Papa~?" A relatively young adult male cooed to his 2 year old daughter watching as she opened her arms towards him quietly, "dada"
"Ah–no, Papa"
"Dada" Iida slumped, defeated by his adopted daughter's choice of words, spoon feeding her quietly. "Why don't you love me?" "Iida don't guilt trip the baby" His husband laughs a bit walking over to the two watching as Manami visibly brightened holding her arms to Naoki, "dada!" A slight smug look crossed over his features as he leaned over letting the girl cup his cheeks, "dada!"
"Hi baby" he coos to her leaning over to gently kiss her nose, "such a cutie~"
✰⋮ "no tickles!" Manami squeals excitedly, only 6 years old now as Iida grabs her by the sides tickling her making the girl laugh and squeal excitedly, "hm? What was that? More tickles?" "nooo" Manami laughs, moving to push away her papas hands, grinning over her features before the front door opens and closes, "Dada!" She grins as Iida lets her go and watches as she runs to the front door, excitedly tackling her dads legs. "Woah, slow down there" Naoki laughs a bit, crouching down to her height, picking her up gently, smothering her face with kisses. Manami didn't realize it, but the smile on his face was a stressed one, one on the brink of tears. Iida rounded the corner, smile dropping immediately seeing his husband's face, he walked over gently picking up Manami, "you go play okay, dinner will be ready soon" he gently set her down on the ground watching as she excitedly ran into another room.
✰⋮ "We can't stay here Iida" Naoki's voice was soft, as if trying not to wake up his 11 year old daughter in the next room over, "It's...its not something new Naoki, we've been putting up with this for how long?"
"Well I'm done Iida! I can't live in a neighborhood where I don't even feel safe going outside, I do not want our daughter living in a place like this" Naoki snapped fists clenched, "You know...they threatened to take her away today..." Naoki started tearing up, "because she needed a mother figure, someone to show her femininity," Iida stared at his husband watching as he broke slowly, "I didn't–" "of course you didn't realize it Iida, you're home all the time I don't blame you...just...we need to leave, for Manami's sake"
Iida could only slowly nod at this, "right...for Manami's sake...I'll start looking at houses"
✰⋮ Manami stood in the doorway of her new house waiting patiently for her fathers to come back inside, hands behind her back as she bounced from heel to toe, only 12, on her birthday she was promised something big, so here she was excitedly waiting. She visibly brightened as her Papa opened the door slowly, "alright Manami, he's really only meant to be a guard do–" Iida grunts quietly as the puppy excitedly slipped out of his collar running inside the house, a small charming little german shepherd bounding towards Manami excitedly. "Yuka–no" Iida tried calling out as Manami squealed brightly crouching down to the puppy, letting him climb all over her, licking all over her face, "hi!" she giggles happily at the clumsy dog. Iida sighs out as Naoki brings in the things for the puppy, "his name is Yuka"
"Hi Yuka!" Manami squeals, cuddling the puppy.
✰⋮ "Manami!!! Did you hear? Rainbow is coming here to perform!" "who?"
Each of Manami's friends gasped at the girl, "wait, you don't know them!?"
"Them? I though–"
"Ah, I guess you wouldn't know they only debuted not even a year ago..."
Manami sat there confused by what they meant, "now we have to beg your dads to let you go with us! It's an idol group! They're so cute you'd love their music" Manami hesitates before nodding along, quickly.
✰⋮ "When I look at you my heart always goes Thump-thump" Manami sang out in front of her mirror holding a hair brush to her lips, at the age of 14 she was already invested in anime and singing, a small grin over her features as she went through the steps she came up in her own time, pretending she was performing in front of a crowd, "This shaking feeling is fluffy-fluffy like a marshmALLOW'' She squeaks as the door was abruptly opened by her papa, instinctually throwing the hairbrush in her hand at him, "Ah! Papa! I'm sorry!" she yelps, rushing over, "I didn't mean to" she whines to him making him laugh, "it's alright, I should've knocked...are you ready?"
"For? Oh! Right!" she jumps up grabbing her jacket, it was supposed to be her first day of tennis, and of course the girl almost forgot, "ah, Nana, don't forget your bag" Iida chuckles, grabbing her bag and passing it to her with a small smile.
✰⋮ "Papa...they signed me up for college prep courses this school year" Manami whispers glancing over her daily schedule lifting her head to stare at her papa quietly. Iida smiles a bit, keeping his eyes on the road, he had insisted on dropping his daughter off on the first day of highschool "that's a good thing, if it's too much just tell us mkay?" Manami hesitates, slumping in her seat, "okay, I will" she whispers looking back at the papers in her hands, this was going to be a long year...
