Blanky - DaiSuga

Caregiver: Daichi
Regressor: Suga

Daichi glanced at Sugawara, worried. The
whole way home he hadn't said a single
thing.

"Hey Koushi..... Is something wrong?"
Suga shook his head, leaning against the
window.

"You seem stressed sweetheart. Do you
need anything?"

"I'm fine, thank you." Sugawara shifted again
in his seat, playing with the hem of his shirt.

Daichi knew this was a way of getting
himself to calm but wondered why he
needed to be calm. He was in the car on the
way home and they were about to eat dinner
together. Nothing stressful was happening at
the moment.

Daichi ignored it though, knowing better than
to confront Sugawara yet. He just pulled into
their driveway and Suga opened his eyes. He sighed deeply, sounding awfully... younger. Pouty a bit.

Daichi realized he had tried extremely hard
the whole drive not to slip and had been
failing to do so. "Lovebug. Do you need help
being little?"

Suga looked up. He shook his head.
Daichi just got out of the car and unbuckled
Suga.

"Come on babes. We need to go get
dinner." Sugawara got out of the car, albeit a
little stumbly. Daichi caught him and carried
him to the door. "Long day?"

"Very."

"What can I do to make it better?"
Sugawara sat up in his arms, looking around
their home. He in that moment was glad he
was light and could be carried like a child as he was taken around the house. Daichi found all of his little gear, putting it in the kitchen on a soft mat. Suga was sat down, staring at Daichi from the floor.

"Is this better?"

"I wanna color..."

Daichi hummed. He found a coloring book
and a box of colored pencils, placing them
with Sugawara. "Better honeybun?"

The smaller of the two blushed. He loved his
nicknames when regressed. They were so
sweet. "Mhmm..."

Daichi rubbed his hair. "You're so precious.
Do you just want mac and cheese tonight?
Would that be better for my little boy's
tummy instead of spicy food?"

"Mhmm! And... And broccoli." Suga struggled
with the vegetable name, playing with his
colored pencils. "So I can be big and strong like Daddy!"

Daichi laughed softly before getting him a
sippy cup and filling it with chocolate milk.
He gave it to the smaller of the two and
turned to the stove.

"Oh no! Oh no!"

"Oh no?" He turned to see the milk on the
floor and mat, somehow spilled over some
of the little gear. "Oh goodness."

"Blanky!" Sugawara teared up, staring at the
mess. "My blanky!"

"Oh honey." Daichi picked him up, putting him
on the counter. "Stay right here. Daddy will fix
It."

"I jus try to shake it! Shake sippy like Daddy
does and it go everywhere and on my
blanky."

Daichi kissed his forehead. "I know, I know."
Sugawara cried as he saw the now
chocolate milk stained baby blanket. Daichi
had bought it for him so long ago and it was
his favorite piece of gear and he'd messed it
up. He'd been so careful, even putting it back
in the box when doing messy activities.
Surely he was going to be in trouble for doing
that.

Daichi cleaned the mess, tossing the blanket
in the washing machine.

"Is so messy.." Suga wept to himself, holding
onto Daichi. "My blanky."

"Honey it'll be clean by the time dinner is
done. I promise. It was just a little mess."
Daichi rubbed his back, "Do we want our
paccy? Hm? Would that make my lovely boy feel better?"

"I needa timeout." Sugawara pointed to the
corner of the kitchen where a stool sat. "I
been bad."

"Timeouts are for bad boys, but you are not a
bad boy. Remember when you drew on the
wall? That was being a bad boy. Or when you
say bad words you sit in timeout. You just
made a mess, that's all."

Sugawara, not accepting this as an answer,
started crying again. "Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!'
Daichi gave a disapproving stare.

"Koushi."

Suga started kicking. "I said bad word!"

Daichi couldn't hold back on punishment,
even if Suga made himself go to timeout on
purpose. He gently put him in the chair,
setting the timer for ten minutes in hopes that it would bore him out.

Sugawara cried the whole time, holding his shaking body. He was so stubborn, even in this state.

"Are we calmed down?"

"I want my blanky..."

"Honey, it's washing." Sugawara shifted in his seat, sniffling. Daichi picked him up. He held him as he made him dinner. Suga picked at his food, watching as Daichi put his blanket in the dryer. "Almost done honeybun. Not hungry?"

Suga handed Daichi his fork. "Help..."

Daichi sat down, feeding him smaller bites and helping him sip at the water in his new sippy cup. Suga held onto him, watching the timer on the dryer from his seat. "A few more minutes."

"Few minutes?"

Daichi nodded, running his fingers through his hair. "And then you can have blanky and some cuddles and a bedtime story."

Sugawara slipped his pacifier in his mouth. He smiled sleepily. "An night night kiss?"

"Oh most definitely."

Daichi walked over to the dryer as the cycle ended, Suga sat on his hip. "Blanky!"

Daichi handed him the blanket and Sugawara huffed softly. "What's wrong?"

"Doesn't smell like Daddy," Suga whined. He gave Daichi a confused look. "Why don't smell like Daddy?"

"Because it got cleaned honeybun. Lemme go spray it."

Suga was set in the living room on the my couch. He curled up in the corner of the couch and started drifting off. Daichi came back and carried him to bed.

"Bun, do you want jammies?"

"Yes pees."

Daichi hummed. He changed him and tucked him in. Sugawara fell asleep, softly breathing against his chest. Daichi held him close, smiling. Crying definitely released stress, even if tonight wasn't as good as normal.

"Mm..." Sugawara rubbed his nose with his baby blanket, getting comfortable.

"Oh honey... comfy?"

Sugawara opened his eyes. He looked up and smiled lopsidedly at him. "Snug as a bug in a rug."

Daichi tapped his nose. "Lovely."

Sugawara wiggled. "Sleepy story please."

Daichi hummed, pulling him a bit closer. He whispered softly to the younger, stroking his hair. Sugawara fell asleep again, this time curling up into a ball to be held. Daichi held him through the night, just staying close.
