" RENDEZVOUS "

[ THIRD PERSON'S P.O.V ]

"I saw you did it! Don't lie to me, you bastard!"

"For a thousand times, I am not lying!! Why don't you believe me?!"

"Huh, since when did you tell the truth?! I'm not a fool, (Father's Name). I was not born yesterday!"

They were fighting. Again.

Every single night, the scenario was this; it's either your parents were not saying a word to each other, or they're shouting at one another on their top of their lungs.

You were tired of their arguments; tired of their nerve-breaking voices and yells. In other words, you were tired of your everyday life. You wanted to take a break from everything---your house, your parents; and even your own school. You've had enough with the bullies hiding all of your things, and searching for it everyday. You've had enough with their never-ending name callings; and their piercing insults.

And so, eversince you were a child, you intentionally separated yourself from other kids. Afraid that they might hurt you the same way your parents did, you never attempted to make any friends.

Every lonely night, you cry yourself to sleep. It was painful, for a children, to live everyday without a mom and dad to call. They never showed you love, nor even care for a mere child like you. You felt abandoned.

This anguish of yours turned yourself into a suicidal person. At the age of 8, cuts and injuries can be seen at your wrist. But, since you were a kid back then, you were also afraid to die. Although you questioned yourself numerous--no, hundreds of times, what was your purpose in life? Why someone as worthless and useless as you are, even placed in a lively world like earth is?

Then, you met him.

It was the evening of your 9th birthday. Your parents promised not to fight on this significant day of yours, but all promises are meant to be broken; just as many people say.

(Father's Name) and (Mother's Name) started to raise their voice each other, just after a few minutes (F/n)'s guests went home. They were arguing about the money spent in her celebration. It wasn't that serious, but their grudge for one another made it worse.

And you just can't take it anymore.

Without any words said, you took a blade from the kitchen and ran outside your house. Aimlessly running, you yelled and cried at the top of your lungs.

Then, you saw an abandoned garage. You decided to stay there, and cry as much as you can. 'It hurts...so much! I don't want this anymore... What did I do wrong to deserve this kind of life?!' You painfully sobbed as you slowly sat on the cold wooden floor of the garage.

"I hate them... I hate this world...!" You poured all your misery as you vaguely slit your wrist with the blade you took with you. Blood emerged from it. You again slit your skin in a different direction, spelling out the word "Hate" on it, as you hoped that the pain you're feeling would just... disappear. But, that's not how it works.

Suddenly, the urge to kill yourself entered your mind. This time, you were confident that... you'll do it. You were gonna do it.

But, someone intervened.

"Hey! What'cha doing there?" An unfamiliar voice was heard, which caused you to stop what you were doing. Your (e/c) orbs gazed around to look for that voice, and found a little redhead boy, standing a mile away from you.

As you were still filled with rage and anger, you snarled at the boy. "It's none of your business!"

"Eh? But you're in my area! That's my hiding place!" The redhead walked three steps towards the girl, making her cautious.

"G-G-Get away! Don't come near m-me!" Shivering as you cried, you hid you wrist and blade behind your back. The boy did not listen to you, and kept advancing to your spot.

"What'cha hiding there? What's wrong with you??" The nosy boy continued to ask you questions that made you irritated, for the fact that you're on the verge of crying.

"I said, d-don't come n-near me! I-I-I'm warning you!" You shouted, yet the boy remained stubborn. He kept walking, until he reached you. You closed you eyes as you sat on the frigid wooden floor, and covered your head with both of your hands.

"Hey... Oi, you're bleeding!" The boy exclaimed as soon as he saw the blood dripping out of your cut on your wrist.

"Ah!" You totally forgot about it, then you suddenly hid it from the boy. "It's nothing..."

"No, it's not! Lemme see that!" Without permission, he snatched your injured wrist, and the moonlight that entered the broken celling exposed the several cuts that you did. He also saw the blade covered with blood on the floor. Shocked, he held your hand as you wept with your head down, and your eyes stared at your bare feet.

No words were said back then, just an evening air full of your sobs and cry.

Out of the sudden, the redhead pulled the girl in his arms, and hugged the weeping female.

"Don't." Was the only word he mumbled, yet it was enough for you to break down. You told him everything, and why you were acting like that; for the rest of the night. You don't know why, but he was the very first one to calm you; he was the first person who choose to stay by your side despite everything.

And his name was Satori Tendō.

It was not long before you learned that the two of you studied at the same school. And soon enough, he became your very first friend.

Eversince you met Tendō, a lot changed. He opened so many doors for you; and taught you that there was so much more than you could imagine.

Bullies never left your side, but so did Tendō. He was also a victim of the bullies, yet he stood up for you. And ironically, the bullies became afraid of him. They said he was some kind of 'monster' or something, but he was different in your eyes.

For you, he was your hero. He saved you a lot of times; from your old suicidal self, and from a lot of dangers. You were trying to fly, but you just couldn't find wings. And for you, Satori Tendō was your wings.

He was the only person who didn't give up on you. He was the first one to make you feel loved, and appreciated. Your parents didn't got better, but at least you have him. So, that's why the two of you planned a rendezvous where the two of you first met. He said that, "If ever your parents fight again, just email me, and sneak out of your house. Meet me in the garage in two minutes. I'll be the one to bring the food!"

That was his promise after meeting you. He didn't wanted to see you to hurt yourself again, so he did his very best to make you happy.

And now, it's been years when (F/n) and Satori first started their daily night rendezvous. Now that they're third years, the rendezvous's purpose wasn't the same anymore. This time, you'll sneak out of your bedroom's window just because you wanted to see him.

Currently, your homeroom teacher were absent, and so the class went wild, and started making unnecessary noise. You didn't preferred the noise, so you just laid your head down on your desk table. Nothing to do, your best friend went to you and borrowed your precious phone--which you regretted afterwards.

"Hey, (F/n). You got a text from your boyfriend," (Best Friend's Name) called out to you and held out your phone which he/she borrowed from you.

"Boyfriend? But I don't have one," You hesitantly slightly darted your eyebrows together, and averted your (e/c) orbs to your friend.

"Well, you have one now." (B/F/N) opened the text message from Tendō for you, as she read it out loud. "It says: Hey, beautiful! Let's meet up tonight ;) About 10 PM sharp. I have a surprise for you!" Your best friend read it with an accent, making your face instantly reddish.

"H-H-Hey! G-Give my phone b-back!" (F/n) stood up in a flash, and tried to snatch her device from (B/F/n)'s hand.

"It's fishy, (L/n)-san. Why would Tendō-san meet up with you in the middle of the night? And out of nowhere? Such a mystery~" Your friend cooed as your classmates laughed, which made your whole body warm up in embarrassment.

"It's none of your business! Please, (B/F/n)! Gimme my phone back," With a soft plea, (she/he) handed you the phone with a smug smile.

"So desperate to reply to him, huh?" Your friend teased as you typed your said reply to the boy.

"Whatever, (B/F/n)-san." You showed that you were irritated, but deep inside; you were smiling from head to toe.

Can't wait to see you, Satori.

* * * *

"Hm..." You tapped your foot on the floor as you waited until the coast was clear. Peeking from your bedroom door, you glanced at your parent's closed door, and stared intently at the bright cream light it coming out of the corners of the door.

You averted your (e/c) eyes to your wrist watch, which made you uneasy. "It's already 10:06 PM! Ugh, just go to sleep! Darn it," You cursed under your breath, and once again looked at the door, and finally felt relieved when the light coming from inside vanished.

"Yes! At last, after 20 minutes of waiting." Murmuring, you quietly tiptoed across your house, and towards the main door to exit. You wore a simple; yet cute (f/c) t-shirt, and dark hued jeans. Barefooted, you passed your parent's bedroom, as you held the sneakers in your hand.

As soon as you're out of the household, you immediately threw the shoes on the ground, and shoved your feet in it. You ran as fast as possible, and headed to the rendezvous.

When you were only a meter away from the abandoned garage, you called the boy's name.

"Satori-kun! Sorry, I know I'm late," You proclaimed while you panted and rested your palms on your knees, as you reached the rendezvous' entrance.

"My parents took their time to--What the?" You interrupted your own statement, as the scenario you saw took your breath away.

Yellowish led lights filled up the whole place, as it gleamed together with the gentle moonlight from above. There, in the middle, a table was set up just with neat plates and utensils. A slim, thin candle was in the middle of the wooden table; that's also covered with a white linen. There were freshly cooked dinner on same plates, organized beautifully.

"Hi, (F/n)-chan! I'm glad you're here. I was kinda doubting that you weren't gonna come, although it's only been six minutes." Satori exclaimed the moment he laid his brown eyes on you. The male was wearing a cute, blue polo-shirt, and a light maroon joggers to accompany it. Carrying a bouquet on his arms, he walked to you and smiled charmingly.

"W-What's going o-on, Satori-kun? Why all the decorations?" You asked timidly.

"Aww, you really did forget afterall, (F/n)?" Tendō frowned and pouted so adorably, that surely made your heart melt.

"Huh?" You tilted your face sidewards, as the man in front of you giggled moderately.

Without any words said, Satori binded his arm around your waist, and hauled you into a mellow kiss.

Few seconds after, you pulled back and fixated your shinning (e/c) orbs on him.

"Happy Anniversary, (F/n)." With a gentle smile, the male handed you the bouquet of (Favorite Flowers), as you returned a serene one.

"Happy Anniversary too, Satori-kun." You hugged your boyfriend and together, you went to the table. Yes, your boyfriend. And what you said to your best friend? That was just a petty lie to cover up your secret relationship with the redhead. You and him agreed to keep it hidden, until you graduate from highschool.

"I can't believe you forgot about it. How dare you," Tendō retorted as the both of them sat on their respective chairs, while (F/n) smiled mischievously and twirled her (h/c) locks beside her ear.

"I didn't forget, Tendō-san." She remarked formally, and tightly held the boy's hand in hers. "How could I? This day was the most important day of my life. I wasn't just gonna ignore it," Scoffing, her other hand reached out to the redhead. In her hand's grasp, there was a pretty looking box, wrapped cutely. Small, adorable ribbons can be spotted also, as she gave her best smile for the best person she could ever have.

"Happy Anniversary! Thank you for making me the happiest woman alive," You greeted with a pleasant giggle and grin, as he received your gift in his hands.

"And thank you for letting me have the opportunity to love the most amazing woman ever," He added, genuinely smiling at you.

The two smiled at each other, with gleefulness and blissfulness in their hearts.

"Shall we start now? We wouldn't want to get past my curfew now, would we?" The girl jerkily stated as she picked up the spoon and fork from the side of the table.

"Curfew? Who has a curfew on an anniversary evening?" Tendō teased, with a cheeky smirk on his lips.

"Me, of course, you silly redhead."
