They arrived at the big school and took a deep breath. Ah, this is it. The crow captain thought to himself. "Lets go." He said to the team.

He gripped onto the strap of his bag tight and lead the team into the gym where volleyballs could be heard smashing into the ground and squeaking noise of shoes coming from inside.

"Whoa, so cool!" Hinata exclaimed as a cheerful expression occupied his face.

Diachi smiled slightly at his kouhai's excitement before walking forwards, ignoring the freak duo's usual argument.

After Shiratorizawa's manager had helped them settle in the gym, Karasuno got themselves ready to do their best and win this practice match.

"Daichi-San, we need water. The water bottles are empty." Ennoshita lets the captain know, holding up the empty bag of bottles.

Daichi nods and smiles at his friend, grabbing the bag. "No worries, I'll take care of that." He then looked at Suga. "Get them in order for me please?"

Suga chuckles at the captain and nods. "Go on, I got this."

Daichi shakes his head in amusement and leaves the changing rooms.

He wanders around the school for a while, simply trying to find a water fountain when his eyes find a certain tall captain, staring back at him.

They stared at each other, neither of them turning away when Daichi asks. "Where can I find water?"

Ushijima kept a straight face.

"There's one behind the gym, you can fill the bottles there." He replied.

Diachi nods and just as he was about to thank him, Ushijima had already walked past Daichi.

Daichi's words got caught up on his throat and he let himself calm down before heading towards the location the other captain had told him.

With a busy mind, Daichi filled the empty bottles as fast as he could, trying not to miss the warm up and as soon as he was done, he jogged back inside the gym with full arms.

"Daichi-san!" Daichi heard someone call his name as he entered the gym and turned to see the young blonde manager scurrying towards him with a smile. "Let me help you so you can go to practice."

"Warm-up." Daichi corrected her with a kind smile, handing her the bottles one by one.

"Right, warm-up." She repeats and nods her head, heading back to the bench.

Daichi giggle, smiling at her habit of repeating things when learning and went ahead to his team who were now doing the partner warm ups.

He greeted his team and went over to Suga to start the warm-ups.

Kageyama set the ball to Hinata, in hopes that he'd get a spike through Tendou and he did, Tendou had (and I quote) made a mistake.

The Karasuno team cheered and the game then went on, having Daichi on the back line, serving first.

Daichi breathed in, clearing his mind and hit the ball, aiming to one of the corners in the back, which unfortunately got covered by one of their players.

The ball went up, not necessarily towards their setter, Semi. He successfully put a high ball near the net and called out to their captain. "Ushijima-san!"

Ushijima slowly started his run up and prepared the jump. He aimed with his right hand and smacked the ball down with all his strength with his left.

Instead of touching the ground with a loud slap, the ball made contact with Daichi's left cheek, knowing the poor captain down.

There was no longer attention on the ball that had her the captain but now, all eyes were on the crow dad that was laid on the ground, holding his left cheek.

Even the crow coach was standing still, shock written all over his face before actually reacting to what was happening and running over to the captain.

"Sawamura!" Ukai exclaims, crouching down beside Daichi, his teammates already surrounding him. "A-are you okay?"

Daichi leaned on his elbows and shook his head a bit, searching for the person who 'attacked' him. His eyes met with Ushijima's and he could see the red shade on the ace's cheeks.

"Daichi-san!" Nishinoya exclaims. "Want me to take you to the nurse?"

Daichi took a few seconds to take in what he said when a sudden voice interrupted his thoughts. "I'll take him."

Everyone looked up to the left handed player in surprised and Tendou was the first to comment.

"Oh? Wakatoshi-kun? You want to take him to the nurse?" He smirked, staring up at his captain. "I mean, why not, eh? Plus it's only fair we both lose our captains. Right?"

Everyone exchanged confused glances and Ukai looked over to Shiratorizawa'a coach, Tanji Washijo. He held an even more surprised look but sighed and shrugged his shoulders.

"You better hurry up, Wakatoshi."

Ushijima nodded curtly and walked under the net, going towards the crow father. He helped him up and slid his arm over Ushijima'a shoulder.

They both walked out of the gym, both team members staring at both of their captains back.

Daichi kept staring ahead of him, his head pounding and his left cheek with a huge red mark.

Ushijima didn't wear any other expression other than the blunt poker face he always has, until Daichi looked in his eyes.

He saw Ushijima with an embarrassed and guilty so he decided to comment on it with a little smirk.

"Feeling guilty?" Daichi smirks, shifting his stare down, waiting for his reply.

"No." Ushijima bluntly replied. "Not at all."

"Whoa, you hate me that much?" Daichi giggled, walking inside the nurses office with Ushijima by his side.

"No." Ushijima paused and placed Daichi on the small bed, with a careful help. "I actually love you."

Daichi's eyes went wide and he stared at ushijima with a blush.

"What?" He stuttered out. "You what now?"

"I love you. That is why I offered to take you to the nurse because I thought it'd be a good chance to confess."

Daichi had no words to say but his heart was melting with Ushijima's words (as surprising as that sounds) so he did what he thought of doing.

He leaned in and pressed their lips together.

Ushijima didn't know what to do, this was the first time something like this has ever happened to him so he copied what Daichi was doing. Ushijima closed his eyes and put more affection into the kiss to the point where neither of them wanted to break apart. Unfortunately for them, they still need oxygen to breath so their lips were no longer connected, simply centimeters apart from each other.

"So you love me, eh?" Daichi smirked.
