Chapter four

"The son of the black witch was located at your son's place." He had to smirk brightly, standing up slowly. "My product...? Oh well, write him a letter about how his old father is going to visit him."

Hinata was already sleeping, it was too much for him. But Kageyama couldn't sleep. He stared at the book and stroke softly it's cover.
Asahi was waking up, that's why they couldn't read it in the library and had to flee to their bedroom.
I have to read it..Now. Even without Hinata.
He thought to himself and slowly opened it again. But the only thing he saw were weird glyphs and suddenly, the stone on his necklace started to glow a bit. Huh...? The stone? I complete forgot why I have him...
He shook his head a bit, took the stone and let it's light glow over the glyphs. "What...?" He whispered as the glyphs started to change into readable letters.

Only the one, whom is worthy, can read these glyphs.
All mighty strength holder, should the power and the ancestors be with you.

The black haired tilted his head a bit. That's it? That's the whole prologue of the book?
He was a bit disappointed, but change the page. His eyes widened a bit in shock. There was a picture of Hinata, next to him was a picture of a small girl, who looked exactly like his phoenix, but her picture was black and white, while Hinata's was coloured.

The flame of the great phoenix

Kageyama couldn't continue to read it. He was too shocked and actually didn't want to know the story of his phoenix. Did Sugawara wrote everything in this book? I don't understand...
He changed the page again. On the backside of the page with the information about Hinata's magic ability, was a pedigree.
This time was a picture of Sugawara, next to it was a picture of a young and handsome man, his picture had a small scratch.

The light of the angelic smile

Again the black haired couldn't continue to read. Shit, I can't believe he actually wrote this. Or was it Daichi? It was too much for him. But he couldn't stop reading it. The picture he saw this time, shocked him a bit, because it slowly changed its colours to black and white. Wait what? It changes?

The lost forest spirit

Human but mighty fighter? And still, why does the picture is changing it's colours? I know it has to do with his death, but...How can it change it's colour? It has to be a magic book...
The black haired somehow was interested in this magic ability. He kept the page in his mind.
As the black haired flipped the page again, that was when he nearly threw the book away. There was a picture of him, but no picture was next to him. Does that mean I'm the first one with this mighty power...?

King of the shadow crow

Current holder: Kageyama Tobio
Previous Holder: Newborn
Protector: Hinata Shouyou (= mighty holder: the flame of the great phoenix)
Family: All passed away
Past: He was country bred. His mother was the great black witch and his father a plain farmer. Both of his parents were killed...

He shut the book immediately, panting a bit. His heart was beating fast and a great pain pierced through his whole body. Memories of the beautiful face of his mother came up. He heard her and his father's laugh. The black haired didn't even realised, how tears were streaming down his face.
"My little crow..." he whispered and suddenly remembered the perfect dreamworld, Sugawara once made for him. The crow boy whipped his tears away, took the stone from his necklace and pressed it against his chest. "Mother...Father...It was all my fault...I'm so sorry, please forgive me..." he whispered to himself. Don't cry my little crow...
Kageyama flinched as he heard those words. He looked around himself, looking after the beautiful voice. "Mother...?" It's not your fault...It's the fault of the cruel world we live in, where human are only ambitious for power
The crow whipped his tears away, sniffing a bit. "Where are you? Why can't I see you..?" Because I only exist in your mind, my little crow...I'm sorry...No, your father and I are sorry for letting you alone this early...But we always watched you from above.
Kageyama had to smile a bit. "I love you mother..." I love you too, my brave little crow...I'm sorry, but I have to go now. Please thank Sugawara and Daichi for giving you a home, love and knowledge...And even thank Hinata for his trust and loyalty. Goodbye...
And then, she was gone. He didn't even ask, if she was still there. Not only her voice, but also her presence, the young crow felt, was gone.
She's always with me...
He smiled a bit, because of that thought. The black haired looked at the book and stroke once over it's cover. Suddenly, he noticed that some of the pages were black instead of white. Huh...? His curiosity was bigger than his prudence. He opened the book at the black page.

Great Dispair

Current holder: Izum-

Suddenly the name disappeared, Kageyama's eyes widened a bit. The colours of the picture of a young and beautiful looking girl with long red hair changed into black and white. It got smaller and next to it, appeared a new picture. It was a intimidating looking guy, with big red eyes and red spiky hair.

Current holder: Tendou Satori
Previous holder: Izumi Satori
Protector: Protector himself
Family: One uncle
Past: Got teased by kids. Had lovely parents, who were killed by Hiroto Tooru. [...]

Kageyama skipped a small part, he wanted to read if this Tendou killed his, apparently, sister.

His sister got killed by him, after his uncle ordered him to do it.

The black haired exhaled once and shut the book. "That's enough reading..." he mumbled to himself, laid down, wrapped his arms around Hinata, who snuggled up his chest happily and slowly fell asleep.

Sugawara woke up, yawning heartily. "Good morning my king~" he chuckled softly and wanted to kiss his husband, but instead he was kissing a pillow. Huh? He thought as he looked around himself. When the queen saw, that Daichi was sitting in front of the bed, he went to the edge of it and slowly wrapped his armes around his king's neck. "What's wrong honey...? You never wake up before me..." Sugawara mumbled and kissed his neck softly. Daichi just stared at a letter, completely absent. "Daichi?" The queen was concerned. Suddenly, the king snapped out of his thoughts, looking up to Suga. "Morning Sweetheart...This is a letter from my father..He wants to visit us today..." Again, Daichi stared at the letter and sighed. The angel was surprised. "Your father? We haven't seen him since you mounted the throne..." Sugawara stood up and put the bodice on. "Don't look like that Daichi...Everything's gonna be okay. Now help me with the bodice." As Daichi looked up to his queen and saw his smile, he had to smile too and calmed down. He slowly stood up, lacing his queen's bodice. "You really don't have to wear that...And I'm not letting my father touch you." The king said serious and finished the lacing. "He won't." Suga chuckled softly and put on his dress. After that he put his hair into a ponytail. Daichi smiled a bit and changed his clothes too.

"Kageyama, Hinata, go up to your room, now. You will not come out of it, okay?" The angel looked at his sons serious. "Why? And I wanted to talk to you Sugawara, it's really important..." the crow said, didn't want to go back to his room. He wanted to know more about the book. "I'm sorry sweetheart, we can talk for hours later, but please ju-" The angel got interrupted by a butler. "I'm sorry to interrupt you, your highness, but your husband's father is here..." One could hear already the deep, false laughing of the ex-king. "Where is my beautiful daughter-in-law!" Suga rolled his eyes annoyed, took a deep breath and put on a smile. "You'll wait here..." he hissed to his two boys and went back to his husband's father. "I'm here, Sawamura-san!" He smiled politely. Daichi was there too and looked already annoyed. The ex-king smirked and stroke the queen's shoulders, leaning down a bit and slowly kissed his cheek. Suga felt disgusted, but didn't do anything, just laughed. Daichi didn't find it funny at all. He grabbed his father's shoulder and pulled him away. "That's enough." He grumbled what made the father laugh. "I still don't know why you choose for this brat. He has not the looks nor a special personality or magic ability." The ex-king grumbled and shook his head in disappointment. Suga laughed. "No, Daichi is perfect, I should ask myself why he chose me." The queen chuckled. "He as the looks, that's for sure sure..." He smirked to his husband, who looked a bit embarrassed. That made the ex-king laugh loudly. "Ah...I wished you would become my wife...The offer still holds.." He smirked a bit more, again Suga felt disgusted. "I'm sorry but I'm happy with your son..." the queen chuckled, snuggling up his husband's arm.
"Come to the point father, what are you doing here? What do you want?" Daichi said as he laid an arm around Sugawara's waist, pulling him closer to himself to show his father that he belongs to him. "Where are your manners, brat? I want something to drink. A good wine. And...I'm just curious. I heard that you both have two children...?" The ex-king's voice was suspiciously calm. "Butler, bring us three wine glasses and a bottle of wine..." Daichi mumbled and the three of them went to a side room, where some armchair's and a small table were standing. They sat down and didn't notice, that they were followed by the two curious boys. "Yes, we have two beautiful son's..." Sugawara said quietly, taking Daichi's hand. The royal couple knew, something was off and that something will happen. "Oh is that so? That means I became grandfather..." He chuckled quiet, letting some green flame-like mist playing around his arms. Sugawara pressed Daichi's hand, but continued to smile. "Yes..." the queen said quietly. "Can I see them? I mean they have to meet their grandfather, don't they?" The ex-king was still smirking, looking at his green flames. "They are not home." The royal couple said simultaneously, what made Daichi's father laugh loudly. "Stop kidding me, they are listing at the door right now." He laughed. Suga flinched a bit, but stood up and went to the door. As he opened it, the two boys fell in the room. "Kageyama, Hinata..." Sugawara was disappointed and sad. Hinata's and Kageyama's eyes widened in shock, they both felt regret. As they stood up, they bowed in front of their mother. "I'm really sorry, but it's that boke's fault!" Kageyama grumbled, looking at his small phoenix, who flinched and glared back at him. "Kageyama's plan! Hinata has nothing to do with these!" The black haired smacked his head once. "Oi, it's it not these!"
Suddenly a slow clapping was heard. Daichi's father had stood up and went laughing to the two arguing boys. "Beautiful! Two mighty holders, and the one is really the son of the black witch. These two are really a treasure." He laughed and wanted to go near them, but Suga positioned himself in front of his children. "You won't touch them." The wings out of light of the queen appeared, for support, he spread his arms, making eye contact with the ex-king, who only laughed not impressed. "You won't put me into a dreamworld, even though you're all mighty mighty!" He laughed, but Suga stayed calm.
Daichi clenched his fists. "You are not welcome here, Sawamura, go!" Daichi was angry as hell. Kageyama and Hinata didn't understand anything. The black haired went around his mother, looking at his grandfather, who smirked brightly. "There you are...The looks from your father, but the beautiful eyes and the raven black hair of your mother..." He whispered, complete fascinated from the black haired. "Why do you know my parents? Who are you?" Kageyama clenched his fists, Hinata went next to his side. "Kageyama Hinata, go to your room!" Suga said serious, but they didn't listen.
The ex-king laughed loudly, his green flame like mist covered his whole body now. "Well, because my son is a useless brat, I wanted a strong kid. The back witch was known in the whole kingdom and as I heard, that she gave birth to you, I knew that you would be very strong. I had to kill her to get you. And I did so. But this stupid whore protected you till the end and I never found you. Until...You opened the book of mighty holders." Kageyama wanted to kill this guy, he never was angrier in his life, but somehow, he couldn't move. "Kageyama I told you to not open the book..." The queen said disappointed, slowly lowering his arms. "Sawamura, leave. Now." Daichi said calm, but serious. "Oh no no no, I found him. I won't leave, son." And suddenly the beautiful wings of Sugawara changed into a nasty green. The angel started to breath heavier and collapsed on the ground, putting his hands on his neck. That was when Daichi lost it.

But still, Kageyama couldn't do anything and because of him, Hinata stood there frozen too. Both thinking the same. What did he do to my mother?! And what is he doing to Sugawara-san! God damn it. Move legs, MOVE!!
